Hi all together, thank you for these videos. I look at them for many times. Niels is the best nature filmmaker ever!! Is Thomas fishing a Reel with a high transmission? I'm a Flyfisherman, so I'm looking for a Spinfisher's Setup, alternatively to Flyfishing.
Tanks a lot for your nice words 😊 Thomas is using different reels, but never extreme transmission - normally around 1:4 to 1:5 Tight lines from the camera man 😊
3:33 I notice the fly is on a small loop, no knotting of the fly direct to the line. Is there any particular reason for that or is it just the way Scandinavians(I aint sure of his accent sorry) fish? thanks.
The water he is fishing here, you're not allowed to fish from October 1. to the first friday in March. I can't remember when these rules were made, but they are from after the video series Sea Trout Secrets 1-9 were made. So if you see him fishing here in the forbidden time period, he's not breaking any rules at the time of filming. And the minimum length here for seatrout is 45 cm, not the normal 40 cm.
Wow ... super seatrout ... we do get them like that here in ireland too , but theyre hard to catch ..
... and often difficult to catch here in Denmark to 😊
