I own one of these, yes they are that good! I live in Arizona where the sun never stops shining and mine will get to 350 in about 5 to 7 minutes, no problem! I works HARD to get over 350, but you really don't need to cook much of anything over 350. They are fantastic!!!

Last year our kitchen stove blew up and the stove we ordered did not arrive til fall. We used the sunoven all summer. It was great! Cakes came out great too. I put frozen chicken in around noon and ended up with an amazing tender chicken for dinner.

Nice video. I have had my sun oven for about 8 years maybe more. It does work fantastic. I have made bread, rolls custard and soup. You must try a whole chicken about 2 hours it was the most tender chicken I ever made. I just bought a different type to see how they are. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for showing this I have been wanting one of these I hate heating up my home in summer using my oven . This would be great as a backup in winter if we loose our grid again here in Texas like this past winter

My Sun Oven doesn't heat up enough up here in Washington state sometimes in the winter, so I got a parabolic barbecue. That gets up to 600 degrees in the summer! I don't barbecue much, but I got it so I could boil water if necessary as long as there is even a little bit of sun. Those are those big round disc shaped things you can see on Google. Always wear sunglasses with these things. They are VERY bright.

I have been using mine for years now. Mine is an earlier one, so it doesn't have the neat white devices to get the right angle to the sun, but I'm pretty experienced with it. I don't use liquid with it, and I think you might get a better heat level if you wipe the moisture off of the inside of the glass so that the sun can get through and keep your heat up if you do add liquid. I don't have that much of a problem with that happening. I just toss a frozen roast in there, and baste about every half hour as I turn the whole thing toward the sun periodically. I live in the Pacific Northwest, so the sun has more atmosphere to go through than, say, in California, but I always can get it up to 350 degrees in the summer, or more. I ALWAYS wear dark sunglasses when I use this and, of course, pot holders. I have a bit of trouble adjusting the rod on the back because my hands are not strong, but that is important to get your angle right. Everything tastes SO good cooked in these, I'm not sure why, but they are just wonderful.

I have 2, the earlier one (2005) still works good. The later one (sun dial) it's made a little larger inside (same size outside) also better UV glass. I've made a lot of rice in it over the years and other food. Now it's $$$ more, but I think worth it.

Our family tradition is when out with the family camping, I get up early and sun oven cook cinnamon rolls that come in a tube. When the folks come out of the tents they head for my hot chocolate and hot rolls. We took one to the 2017 total solar eclipse and using an instant digital thermometer to measure temps as the sun slowly went away and then returned.

The All American Sun Oven works like a dream. I cook whole chickens, steaks, vegetable, stews... just about anything in it. My wife is especially happy with the steaks I cook in the oven. They are done perfectly and can almost be cut with a fork! (This is NOT an exaggeration.) It does meat loaf especially well.
One of my personal favorites in this oven is beets. They are wonderful and tasty and don't take long at all to cook. Actually nothing really takes any longer than it might in a crock pot on "high". Plus, you simply cannot overcook things in this oven.
The cost of these are well worth it!

Very nice. Have you used it in the winter on a sunny day? I wonder if the ambient temp would bring the oven temp down too much.

Any trouble with animals getting into it?
Does it give off alot of the smell of good cooking food to attack animals?

Thank you for the start up/unboxing info
Have you tried it without adding liquid? I've ordered mine and my research says no liquid needed????
    Thank you for the video

I don't add liquid. You don't need to, actually. It's kind of like how they cook underground in Hawaii, and tastes like it, too. So good! I think the reason is that it fogs up the inside of the glass and might make it take longer to cook because that blocks some of the sun. But I really don't know. I think it might just be a preference.

This is nice for Prepper supplies but for this price it is how I could buy an actual oven. Seems crazy.

I made one from an old stainless steel kitchen hood 😄 Insulated it and added a glass door, didn't cost me anything except black paint and silicone.
