    Would be great if you showed a tutorial for doing tight lacing (under the archwire). The lacing shown is loose, so i prefer tight lacing (multiple twists between 2 brackets, going over the next bracket and then place multiple twists until you reach the next bracket and so on).

      Yes definitely Amirali. We'll try to make the video for "continuous tie" soon. Till then enjoy the rest of the videos.

    thank you so much Dr.
    kindly, is it nessesory to ligate the tooth ( with a torque spring) with ligature wire or it is enough with ligature elastic ? 🌹🌹

    • @cephtacticsdental
      @cephtacticsdental  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, you can use elastic ligatures, but ideally metal ligature is much better.
      As the torquing spring is going to use the wire as anchorage, wire can have a bit of play and the spring might not be able to express the force completely.
      Hence, full ligation of the the wire with metal ligature is better.
      I hope you find this helpful.

    how long you need to use ligatures before completely remove the braces?

    • @cephtacticsdental
      @cephtacticsdental  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Long ligatures are mostly used to maintain space closure, preventing any space from opening and increasing anchorage. Therefore, you can keep them in place for as long as necessary, ensuring that oral hygiene is well maintained.

    What is the difference of overtie and undertie even their functions are same

    • @cephtacticsdental
      @cephtacticsdental  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      An overtie is when a long ligature tie is placed over the archwire while an undertie is when the ligature tie is placed under the archwire to prevent a tooth from moving or create space. Overties are commonly preferred for compromised oral hygiene, but cannot be tightened as well as underties and needs to be removed every time the archwire is changed. Underties can keep spaces closed securely and are preferred when changing wires, as they don't need to be replaced each time, but oral hygiene should be monitored. You just need to check if the undertied wire is loose, and if so, tighten it.
      The choice of technique depends on the specific treatment goals and the individual needs of each patient. We hope this helps.

    What should i do if my metal ligature feel loose

    • @cephtacticsdental
      @cephtacticsdental  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Rashid!
      If you are a patient, it's important to inform your orthodontist so they can provide appropriate advice. If you are a practitioner, it is necessary to either tighten or replace the metal ligature to prevent potential gaps from forming, especially if there is any active mechanism like elastics or powerchain connected to it. I hope this helps.
