I have owned one of these xarcade sticks for a long time. The only thing I don't like about it is that they should have provided as much space between the sticks as they do with the one that comes with the trackball in the middle. This particular version doesn't have enough room for two players to comfortable use the stick at the same time. Excellent video.
Had my X-Arcade Tankstick (the one with the trackball) for eight years and I LOVE it. A fantastic controller! Great vid too, so thanks from across the pond.
I have one of these myself but it's the Dualstick. Very soon gonna change the buttons to light up ones. To me these things are the best sticks in the markets because I grew up with the arcade days so being that said I love this kind of controller cause it brings back a piece of history on a modern console
I have some information for you but it might already be to late to since you bought the adapters already. This might or might not help you but it's still good to know this. If you have a Titan 1 device you can use that as well to play on different consoles. But this method only works for one side. This is how it's done. The x-arcade is a keyboard, we need to turn those buttons into actual inputs. Stick any controller inside the PC to get button input. No we map your keyboard keys to the physical controller you have plugged inside the PC. The program to do this is called Joytokey. After you mapped your arcade keyboard keys to button inputs. We need to translate those button inputs to actual game console inputs. Only stick the program cord of the Titan 1 inside the PC. Open up the Gtuner software for the Titan 1. You need to install "Max Aim DI", after you installed it. Look the option that says "direct input device" that's where you locate the physical controller you have plugged inside the PC. Press buttons on the controller to confirm it's the right controller. After that, go to device monitor and set the output to any game console. PS4, PS5, Xbox 360, Xbox one, Xbox series s, nintendo switch. No go back to "Max Aim DI" and set up the buttons to the physical controller. Each button you map, press "direct input catch" on the physical controller. After you mapped the physical controller with output of your choice. Stick the Titan 1 inside the game console. The program cord stays in the PC with Max Aim DI on at all times for this to work. Your keyboard keys will translate to button inputs with Joytokey. Your Joytokey inputs will output to actual inputs with Titan 1. This process looks like a mess a know but I'm a man that hates spending money. A Titan 1 helps save money, you can settle for cheap controllers and it's guaranteed to work on other consoles.
@@FirstAndFramerates If my information is wrong. You can do it this way too. Turn keyboard keys into xinput with the program called "xoutput" then you can proceed to do the steps to convert to actual game console with Titan 1.
@@FirstAndFramerates Here's a visual demo of using a Titan 1. Ignore the parsec part. Just pay attention how to use any controller that's inserted in the PC itself. Other videos are too complicated and all they will show you is call of duty mods. Never how to use any controller. th-cam.com/video/x3Ltv4oHBVI/w-d-xo.html
I would love to have one of these for my Wii and to play Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Soul Calibur 2!! And all the arcades on my PS Classic, great video man, greetings from Chile!!
awesome review! bro. i like that no trackball since im not a fan of track ball version..sad thing there is no saturn and neogeo aes adapter. w/c 2 of my all tym fovorite consoles.
I just bought one, I’m just concerned how I have to download Maximus Arcade and other Arcade fighting games or classic games on the X Arcade. Do I have hook it to my computer to upload the games on my X Arcade?
Question: I have the x arcade single player solo version and ordered the adapter to use with the Play Station 2. The light turns red but none of the buttons work? It seems like it’s on but not responsive. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Did you plug in the adapter before you turned on the console also you may have the stick in analog mode press the start button and the side button to change to digital mode
Cylent Gamer yes, it was plugged in prior to turning on the PS2. The red light doesnt come on immediately, but eventually does. I tried switching to digital mode and it is still unresponsive. Did you mean pressing the player 1 button and the side button at the same time? (There are 2 side buttons for pinball games I’m assuming, I pressed the right one along with the player 1 button).
@@seanmauricette2347 yea pressing them at the same time. Thats weird that its not working. I haven't had that issue. You may need to open it up and see if your wires are connected to the PCB
I had to comment once more. I found a program similar to Titan One device. It's a $7.00 program. I don't know if this is a universal game console controller swapper but in this video. Instead of using a cord like the Titan One does. This program uses the local network to swap controllers on different game consoles. Maybe you can use this as well on your x-arcade. Be aware that if you install this program you will have issues using mame and it won't read keyboard keys afterwards. th-cam.com/video/pjbvPsOhcIg/w-d-xo.html
You failed to explain how this Arcade stick works with the wii/ wii u I was waiting for you to explain that, because i have a wii u and i play wii/wiiu and gamecube games on it and i would have liked to have known, how this works with a wii.
It works with the Wii in 2 ways. If the game is Gamecube Controller compatible. Or you can buy the adapter on XArcade website. As for Wii u Im not sure if it is an adapter for it.
@@FirstAndFramerates Thank you for responding. I need your advice...How much do you think this controller is worth used? I am eye balling one of these used. I am curious as to know how well these hold up over time, being used and abused. Are they built to last far as the buttons and the joystick? I'm not concerned with the build quality of the case as that is a secondary concern, being the cases are very sturdy. Also, what does this Arcade stick come with? any accessories?
videogameboutique they are very sturdy. If you can find one for around $80 to $100 used you are good. The adapters tho you have to buy them from the xarcade website. Those are a bit pricey but well worth it.
@@FirstAndFramerates So the buttons and the joystick haven't needed any replacement/repair? How much did you pay for yours, brand new? How much are the adapters?
The price varies on the websites but on average they are 30 to 40 dollars. I haven’t changed anything on the arcade stick and I’ve had this for 4+years
Cool review but you don't talk about how you like the sensitivity of the buttons or the joysticks because a lot of people for some reason complain about the X-Arcade joysticks and they actually swap them out with other kinds like IL Euro sticks or Sanwa's or whatever so I'm assuming you're really happy with the joysticks in particular that come with the X-Arcade and the buttons some people swap out but most people just swap out their joysticks.
The sticks are find for me and the sensitivity is great. The issue is that earlier models have sticks that grind against this panel of the board. I have a later model
We're dealing in the realm of perfectionists that never went into a grotty arcade and attempted to do a Hadoken on a joystick that was long past its best. The X-Arcade comes with responsive controls, with tough microswitches that will last you for years. But the whole unit is perfectly upgradable to your "Sanwas" and what have you ... I think it works perfect as is, but if you feel you need to upgrade it, then it's easy to do.
There must be a way to use this stick with older consoles,it seems stupid to design something like this and totally neglect snes, megadrive, saturn But hey, seems fairly biased and favour sony

I just bought a refurbished one from x-gaming ....with the ps3 and og xbox and gc/dc/ps2 adaptor......
I cant wait to use this....
Cool review! :-) and also very funny to see all those adapters :-D the Arcade-stick is awesome, love to play Double Dragon with 2 players.
Great vid.. you're very good with these types of vids too..you should keep on with these types as well..great information..
Thanks Brother

Men that was fast hahaha, I would have to save an extra 140 dls for the shipping 😑
Ahhhh...thats not cool.
Get a Sanwa stick and buttons. These are really stiff.
Tri-Mode PCB update makes x-arcade awesome
🤔
You spent 500 easily for xarcade and those adapters. you try Pandoras box arcade stick yet its fun too.
Close to 200 but definitely was worth it lol
Is there any way to reset the tank stick to default settings. I have dual analog and auto fire in and it’s driving me crazy.
Check the back of your tankstick it should be a switch that you can toggle. Move it back towards player two
Going two years strong with mine but will admit I change my sticks out
I was thinking of doing the same

I dont think so the x arcade dont have storage or hard drive on it. It should come with instructions for the games
MAME (it's free) - then all you do is search for roms.
If only there was a federal archive that stored classic videogame roms .... hmmm ....

Should we be worried about Xbox removing 3rd party controller devices?
Yes we absolutely should.
Thought it was plug and play for PC, that's what it says online. Just USB
Yeah, just checked. Was worried as I ordered it like a day ago lol and it's already shipped
Haha
Great video by the way

The only sega console it supports is the dreamcast. But I would love it to support the genesis
