They are 8 direction. I played Robotron 2084, Smash TV, and Total Carnage with an authentic arcade experience. The only downside is that one would need to have two of these units to have 2-player co-op.
Yes, old school gaming arcades were really fun. The only thing you didn't mention is that the xarcade sticks can also be used with the game systems such as xbox, playstations, etc. This is definitely the best made arcade stick out there that I know of.
My X-Arcade trackball is not working. When I plug the usb wire into the usb port, there is no sound or light at all. And of course, it's not responsive in MAME at all. I recently bought another X-Arcade for a friend, and when I plug that one in the same PC, it works just fine. Does this mean my panel is defective? I bought mine a few years ago and never really tested the trackball until now. What should I do? Any help appreciated!
What's the best way to use this with steam pc games without using any extra cables like the xbox 360 adapter I have it but would rather use less cables
I replaced my sticks and all my buttons with HAPP brand stuff (except for the side, P1/2, and rear buttons), and swapped out ALL the switches with Cherries. Complete game-changer.
@@squaretops1 I'd say it's still a very solid setup with stock parts, but you just can't beat authentic arcade parts. :) The main reason I changed my hardware out was I didn't quite like the stock sticks. They're "American-style" bat controllers, and even though the bat-style sticks are what I prefer, the shape wasn't quite authentic. I just decided to also change out the buttons and switches while I was already committed to changing the sticks.
They are ok for what they are. Was not a fan of the joysticks tbh. Swapped them out. The buttons are ok, and never had a issue with the encoder like most.
Good video, thanks. Unfortunately I’ve had the complete opposite experience. I’ve got one of these and had nothing but issues with it. Whoever wired it in the factory must have been a trainee. When I opened it up to see what was going on, the whole thing was mis-wired, things not plugged in correctly. I’m relatively sure something was soldered incorrectly because the player one and player two are switched in RetroPie and nothing I can do will assign the controllers correctly. I wrote to XArcade and they responded with a wiring diagram. Then they stopped replying. It even had a “QC PASS” sticker on it! 🤣
Mine came with a loose input switch selector. I bought the trimode upgrade for the PCB board and because I think the selector switch is either loose or missing parts it's stuck in the first mode (I think) and I can't even use the 4th mode that I paid for. I asked them for pictures of how it's supposed to be assembled but they wouldn't help me figure it out. 😭
Strongly disagree, can you play Mortal Kombat 11 on a Pandora box? No you can't. Pandora can only play those old games. X-ARCADE plays evening. You can map the buttons the way you like. I have had mine for 2 years now. A year ago I replaced the garbage joysticks with IL Eurosticks, it makes it 1000000x better.

Lasombra yes you can get 4 players with 2xarcade tank sticks or a x arcade tankstick with 2xbox 360 controllers

Because of the context in which it's meant to be used, that's why. It's retro-styled to mimic....wait for it...retro systems.
