  • This is the second of a two-part series where I build and implement an underground inductive wire loop sensing system for detecting vehicles in my driveway. In this video, I show how I connect the relay output from the vehicle detection module to the home alarm and automation systems at my house. I also show the programming in the Universal Devices ISY994 module to get notified via a text message when a vehicle is detected in my driveway.
Here is a link to the wiring diagram I made for my house, as well as the Honeywell alarm programming guide I show in the video:

Wow! Measuring, cutting the wires, use a tractor, install the hardwares, draw the flow charts, do the programming codes. Is all men with english language are as smart as you? Man, that is so impressive. I am a Software Developer. End up here because I am currently learning how to install a Vehicle Loop Detector. Feels like we are so weak compared to you guys :(

seems pretty complicated. i would feed the signal from the detector into a computer and handle the rest in software.

That would work, but I always try to avoid using a dedicated 24/7 PC if possible.

you could always use a raspberry pi. i run one for pi-hole, and it consumes only 4 to 5 watts. so no problem running it 24/7.

I'm going to install a Vehicle Detector. Are you happy with the Loop detector Module you bought from Ebay? Is there a better module you could recommend? Let us all know how this has worked out for you.

The module I bought has worked flawlessly for me for over a year. So I would definitely recommend it.
