Same city of origin, same height, and weighs a bit more, and if it weren't for one letter, his name would be exactly the same. He enters the ring with a maniacal grin. He'll dodge every punch you throw, dodge the Star Punch, and if you try to stall for time by dodging repeatedly, he'll hit you for chip damage by having his punches hit you on the way back from your dodge. If you get to round 2, he'll match your punches down to the frame of input and will now sucker punch you after dodging star punches, and by round 3 his punches are matching yours but the game reads them as 3 frames faster. Also by this point, he will use his own Star Punch (with the strength and triple the speed of one of your own 3 Star Punches, but without the dramatic slowdown yours has) immediately after dodging yours for an OHKO if you try anything less than 3 stars (a 3 Star punch will result in a dodge instead). Trying to use the chocolate bar between rounds just means he'll double his speed for the rest of the match to try to take you out even faster. If you just stand there he'll just stare you down. He won't taunt, his moves have no tells (not that it would matter much since he'll counter your moves anyways), won't taunt between rounds, and just glare at the camera. It's not a glare like Mr. Sandman, or Bald Bull, or Aran Ryan. This is the glare of a man whose held a grudge and will not stop until you're defeated. But then it hits you, he's not angry at Mac...he's angry at *YOU* He's mad for you trivializing any fight you came across. @@peanut211 And (As a partially trained boxer) I can give you ANOTHER reason why that is there.
You see, If you ever need to defend yourself in a situation where you are taller then the opponent, hitting the temple is good tactic. For you see, the temple is one the least guarded place in your upper body.
So if you want to knock somebody around effectively, you do knock the temple.
these videos always motivate me to go play punch-out and defeat *everybody*
It caught my eye that Mr.Sandman destroyed the building with his bare hands, but I’m always wondering if it’s the same building Doc Louis was using to train Little Mac, but I could be wrong though
Right before Mac 3 star punched him, there was an ad that said “do you feel a lot of pain?”
Sandman: yes.
FBI agent felt like it
Mac vs Sandman but it's Aran Ryan instead of Mac
You go-
* Over head club *
imagine being this big muscular dude that can tear apart buildings and just a normal 17 year old bullies and taunts you during a boxing match not letting you get tko'd until round 3 when there's 2 seconds left, i would be absolutely furious lol
his reverse stun animation makes it look like he's cold

@@EWOODJ what does this mean?
That DREAMLAND will always sound satisfying to me
if you stare death in the face and they look tired, you've already won
Why am I watching punch out videos? And why am I enjoying them so much?
"Do you think it's his turn? I don't think it's his turn."
"His turn to get knocked down."
Mr. Sandman was an amazing boss. He is ironically the most realistic opponent out of all boxers you face. I can totally see him being a real heavyweight champion
I will always find it funny how a dude that can literally destroy entire buildings somehow gets beat up by a 17 year old from the Bronx.
Holy shit, mr sandman saying dreamland while the heart is beating in the background is menacing as fuck
Now i see why mr sandman has a reason to be angry
1:07
Why bro spinning his glove, bro is NOT don flamenco with that Walmart ahh clap
Super fun to bully former champs
if you hit him in the face he blocks it while stunned
but if you do it in the gut he will block that
von kaiser does the same but he blocks the part where he isn’t hit
How could you DO THIS????? SO EVIL?????? I can't even land a punch on the guy...
_Very interesting deja vu here... But I wouldn't say evil, more so the whole "I told you so" kind of enemy I fought one time._
Pattern recognition
contrary to popular belief TD bald bull is the only fighter you HAVE to defeat using a star punch
Lore accurate little mac
sandman: its waaaay past your bed time mac baby
doc: cmon mac baby
I haven't gotten here yet (still on Glass Joe 2) but I gotta say that contender Mr .Sand Man was by far my favorite fight in the entire game. None of the punches felt cheap or impossible to dodge, I never got frustrated, and the final hit is perfectly framed. It was an extremely good time. Good job Intelligent Systems!
I like how if you multiply his wins to match yours, he still has a better record than you
I like how the moveset is similar to mike Tyson's in the NES version
A David vs Goliath only David is a trained assassin.
hilarious and unique. You've earned a sub!
2:44 *why do they both say mac baby*
Because Sandman and Doc have the same voice actor.
i beg that you do not do this in last stand.
he already did, he unlocked hampions mode 😦😦
@@Dronk5 i meant screwing with sandman until 2 seconds left in round 3
is there anyone here who thinks mr sandman would be a great father? i mean 3:03
Honestly, despite his anger issues, yeah
1:31 and it all goes downhill…
It looks like it is. But Sandman haven't seen the further truth yet.
Fun fact: Contender Glass Joe and TD Mr. Sandman are the only fighters in Punch Out Wii which have 2 different intro animations, the first one has his characteristic intro and a second one where he doesn't slip off, and Mr. Sandman has his habitual anination and the second one being a recicle of the Contender Mr. Sandman's after he defeated you once.
1:06
Mr. Sandman: "My turn!"
Little Mac: "Not on your life, sport."
I don't think it's his turn.
Considering how much he yaps about bedtime.
He shouldn’t be called Mr. Sandman
He should be called Mr. Bedman
He's called Mr. Sandman because he "puts" his enemies to "sleep" like the mythical sandman, but with punches instead of magical dust. XD

Dude you're the one that lost to him
I’d be mad too if I was 284 pounds and somehow lost to the kid who’s 107.

As a kid, I always heard "Mach Turnip" instead of "my turn" for some reason
I feel like this video is one of the only to show sandman blocking his gut in a stun.
Half this stuff I wasn't even aware of! This is so cool
Might be my most fav video on punch out (wii)
MY TURN! *Punches
It always gets me when he says *"STAND STILL."* then just gets obliterated.
