Yes I think I was the same before children. I remember Matt would always want to sleep on an argument, and I couldn't get my head round it. As someone who has been married for 4 years, gone through the newlywed bliss, added two children, and gone through some difficult times, my husband and I are definitely still learning to navigate life as a team while being happy individuals. The be a team idea is right on! Literally when we go out to eat we just take turns paying and that way its fair. And we give each other small things about what gifts we are getting so one of us doesn't give the other a huge gift then the other gets a tiny one. So basically just communicate!

He always told me we would be married and pursued that one real hard! Ha. When I was 29 we got married and have been married for 4 years now, but we’ve been in love for 16! Tell them what you want!!! This is something I discovered in the past year actually after having my second baby. And after a few rows where I was so frustrated he wouldn’t do certain things- just like Matt said- they’re not mind readers. Men function a lot different to us. They don’t have the natural maternal instinct to always know what to do to help. So telling them what you want gets what you want and diffuses a lot of pent up anger. Which is what I’ve been telling a lot of friends who start to complain that their husbands don’t do enough to help- just ask x
I am having a very difficult time in my marriage and this was sooooooooo nice to watch this. It made me laugh a few times and EVRYTHING you said is soon true and real. I loved it. It was very relatable, at least for me

I had twins 2 years ago and we have only been out 3 times together in 2 and a half - 3 years! Our babysitters struggled with our twins and we had to come home early on 2 times. What a great video. Thankyou. Totally agree with just telling my husband what I need done. So many "discussions" have happened bc he hasnt done what I wanted him to do and he had no idea he should have done it.
