Many different versions of this song have been recorded over the years by artists from around the world. Now, the talents of Mike Wilbury and Rick Benbow have brought three young artists together using the power of the internet. Jadyn Rylee from Canada, Charlotte Zone from England and Sina from Germany are three artists that have never physically met, however through the talents of Mike and Rick and the power of technology this production was developed.

It is clearly an English folk-song as Scarborough is in north Yorkshire which i can assure you seeing im from Harrogate
The actual fair at Scarborough was an annual trading fair which lasted for 45 days starting on August 15. It was granted a charter in 1253, and ran until 1788 when competition from other fairs made it untenable.
Traditionally, the herbs in the song have the following associations:
parsley - festivity
sage - wisdom & immortality
rosemary - remembrance
thyme - courage & strength

Not over, with. I'm sure that sound engineers worked a little bit of magic, but the young ladies have amazing voices, and Sina is a talented drummer. If you haven't heard it, listen to Jayden and Sina do Runaway by the Corrs. Emily Linge is the star on that song.

I enjoyed this version. Jaden has lovely, strong voice not rife with too much vibrato and such. Charlotte did a wonderful counter voice. What can I add about Sina? Run out of superlatives pretty quick.

What a wonderful version you have managed to release. It is in any case of the same level as Sound of Silence or Stairway To Heaven. The voices of Jadyn, Sina and Charlotte harmonize perfectly, especially when you know that they have never met. Sina did a wonderful job on drums, playing a lot of on the nuances. And finally Rick Benbow and Mike Wilbury are not only two extraordinary musicians but also magicians when it comes to assembling all these talents in a single song.
Fantastic sound from such a young band of girls, the drums made it even more effective.

I know what you mean. When I saw the YT suggestion for this, I thought, alright but i know it's not going to be that good. Then BAM! I was blown away by how they captured the spirit of the song and updated it a bit with those awesome drum rifts. I actually liked it better than the original.

I dropped in to listen to you girls again and I CAN'T BELIEVE that in TWO YEARS NOBODY commented on this CRAZY GOOD performance ! ! I didn't say this in my last comment, but now that I noticed it, Charlotte REALLY is a really good complement to Jaydn's voice, but ALSO Charlotte's voice is really good on her own. What make's this song good for the both of you is that you both simul-singing two different verses. Ohh! I could not do this. An EXCEPTIONALLY EXCELLENT performance for both of you. They're not on the same continent, and I believe that is the Canticle(response) of two separate mindsets. P. Simon took slivers of old song/poem and merged them.
Sina and Jayden...I am a pianist and performed Scarborough Fair/Canticle with my mom on back to back Steinways when I was 14. She passed a few years later from cancer at 49. I cried when I watched this. You are both incredible musicians and your version was so intense. Thank you for doing this!🌹🌟

I grew up during the 1960’s in Southern California. This has the feel. Took me back decades in time.
I grew up in Yorkshire - not far from Scarborough and somehow Simon and Garfunkel captured this centuries old song and placed it perfectly in Southern California. So many good sounds came from there in the sixties [I know S&G are from the NY] - what amazing times - I would loved to have been at Monterey. I finally got to LA in the eighties - a little too late, but stayed for a year and made lifelong friends with Californians.

I am an 85 year old man from Sri Lanka. (2022) I remember when I used to listen to this song way back in the 70's and this trio of beautiful young girls are dong justice to Simon and Garfunkel. It brings back sweet memories of the 70's
Yeah, they sure did a a beautiful rendition and its so nice to see and hear these youthful gals playing music of the golden age.
71 here and I feel the same. We used this for canon practice at school music lessons before Simon and Garfunkel [what a brilliant pair of singer songwriters - so sad we don't hear much of that kind of music any more] but the song actually goes back centuries through many forms.

Perfect. What a glorious arrangement this is. Jadyn's strong lead is complimented nicely by Charlotte's and Sina's voices. Sina handles her drums with a gentle, deft touch that's right for this song.
Mike and Rick are hiding out of view, as usual, but we are not fooled. Their talents are critical to the overall achievement of a cover this wonderful.
My thoughts exactly sir. First thing on my mind was " The Graduate" That fantastic classic movie with all these great Simon & Garfunkel songs. This song was one of the high points in that movie.

Scarboroug Fair! My absolutely undisputed favourite song by S&G! What an unbelievable favor you have done me and what a great joy you have given me! How heavenly, even epic and moved to tears is this dreamlike song! I am completely and absolutely thrilled, yes touched! Jadyn, this little goddess, today no little tornado, how heavenly she can sing. She stands there and performs a miracle. Charlotte proves once more what she is made of and that there is hardly a genre for her that she can't master. Rick, I can only repeat myself, our giant who always acts in the background, conjures again on his magic keyboard! Mike, the King of Guitars, with an unbelievably harmonic guitar spoils us all once again with his skills. Sina, Sina can also play very soft drums! I lack the words to express my enthusiasm for her playing. Simply paradisiacal! And her backing vocal couldn't be more beautiful. Wow there are so many tasty morsels for the ears that come together aside from the entertaining vocals from this virtual trio....quite outstanding arrangement and inventive tone combinations rise up in the background! Super amazing job Rick and Mike -- there is really a great amount of work you put in to creating the foundation for these ladies to build the vocal upon -- extremely fun to find more pop out on each new listen!

Jadyn i have been a subscriber for a long time but I don’t normally comment on your music since you get so many comments but this one I have to. I don’t know how many times I have listened to this but it has been a lot.... this whole production is just perfect. You and Charlotte together with Sina on background vocals is amazing. When you listen to this on a real sound system and not just a phone and earbuds the audio quality is amazing. Sina’s drums sound incredible and mixed just perfect with the outstanding vocals. To choose 3 awesome young girls that are going to be huge in the near future with or without the others. Jadyn ,Charlotte and Sina you are able to make great songs together or apart and I just love all three of you, I will be waiting for any music you do in the future Thank You from the bottom of My heart. I always loved Simon & Garfunkel and I consider this a tribute to two former greats like the three of you.
You do know Simon and Garfunkel didn’t write it, it’s a traditional English folk song.

Alan Hindmarch, you are correct about the Scarborough Fair portion. The Canticle portion of the counterpoint is from the era (there was dispute between Paul Simon and another person as to the composition). This is the only version besides Simon & Garfunkel that I’ve heard Scarborough Fair/Canticle. Celtic Woman, Carly Simon and others have done the Scarborough Fair portion which does go back centuries!

I've got the original sitting on another computer about 3 feet from me, and just listened to it again (which probably makes the 50th time I've heard it), and I seriously don't think it could be done better than this current collaboration (the 3 young women plus Mike and Rick)! And I've *never* heard the counterpoint brought so far forward, and so well, as Char's work here. I now love singing just that part, when replaying. I well-know how awesome Charlotte and Sina are, but this is my first real exposure to Jadyn, crushing the lead! Wow to them all.
As a child my father used to sing this to us as I got older I would join in on the three part harmony we have nothing on you guys. You guys killed it. I started watching Jaydn when she did the sound of silence with Sina which made me a subscriber and sharing that video brought you a few more. This collaboration might be the best one you did. You represent Canada so well. From one Canadian to another thank you for your brilliant work and look forward to the next one.
