I don't know if anyone else has said this, but to me the beauty of this piece is that it sounds just as good as her studio release. That to me is a sign of a true artist.
She should be because she's amazing. There are so many people out there that are terrible and ugly and nasty inside that if you find a pure soul like hers it's incredible to listen to.
Nice to see an artist that can actually sing. I grew up in the 90s i remember this on the radio nonstop and she sounds just as good or maybe even better here. Incredibly good!
We played a gig tonight and in the audience were two very nice looking women. My guitar player said. "Hey! You look like a singer" They laughed and said yes. Nothing more was said until they came up to say they enjoyed our little gig. It was indeed Anna and her mother. What blown me away was how so very nice and down to earth she is. Her mother is the same way. They are both gorgeous inside and out.
Patrick Runne you are ONE LUCKY MAN!! She's off the charts incredible. That moment in time where this was? From her heart to her hair, ethereal beauty, incarnate.
I hate to repeat another 51 year old on the comment section but this is one of the most brilliant, thought out songs I’ve ever heard. Life never slows or allows you time which makes you full of regrets. But gives you just enough time to think of the right things you’ve done and how you can try to do more right
This song touches my soul and has such a great message. "Life is like an hour glass glued to the table" just reminds me that life just keeps moving forward. No matter how hard you want to change your past mistakes, no matter what regrets you want to erase, life has no "rewind button". We all have to live with our regrets and imperfections and try to move on.
Thank you for your very insightful and poignant interpretation of this song: mistakes and regrets we carry such burdens; learn to accept ourselves even though we’re hurting…

I can never get enough of this song. I can honestly say that if it's my heart and I've cried my eyes up listening to this song but it cleaned me I didn't hurt me it cleansed me. I wish that people understood how beautiful and wonderful and loyal to art this woman is because she really is underrated.
It depends on where you live how popular this song is. When she 1st began performing in northern California this song actually had heavy airplay on every major station.
Omg this video made me emotional. I remember 2006 well and that’s when this video was uploaded. Times were just so very different back then. We were all excited to try out the new upcoming smart phones, I had a flip phone and was young and excited to explore where life took me. Things have changed so much since 2006.
I had a moment today, where I had meltdown , unrelated to the actual song but This song came on and I was reminded to breathe which felt sent. It was why music matters it hits the nooks and crannies of our souls.
Ive heard this song a million times but have never really seen Anna Nalick until now. Is this woman sent from heaven? Drop dead beautiful, voice like an angel............deadly combo............I TOTALLY dig her...
Great song! My daughter wasn't even born when this video was uploaded but tonight she's going to perform this solo at an open mic night. I hope she does you proud Anna!
OMG - How ironic Anna - You sing a song titled - 'Breathe' - then bust out a performance that leaves us truly breathless... Fav gurl on the planet - absurdly gifted and beautiful...

My wife and I saw her sing live a couple weeks ago (November 2014). She's the real deal. She was able to just stand there and sing in great pitch and with great expressiveness with a single accompanist. (No autotune!!) She said she was trying out new material for a forthcoming album. She did Breathe as her closing number, but both her old and new stuff was terrific. I am certainly looking forward to the new collection in 2015.
Sometimes I have a lot of anxiety, this song helps to stop and breath. Today is alittle rough and I am listening and it is bringing me to tears. I need to just breath, she is helping me to remember.
That's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I've always liked the song but watching her sing it has somehow touched me deeply. I think I just fell in love.

I almost never prefer live to studio singles, usually like them far less. This song is a rare exception. Great song, great lyrics, and the chorus is like a few seconds of true peace.
My mom had pulmonary hypertension and a dark sense of humour. She would sing along word for word except for the "just breathe" parts. Or she would say, "I will work on that" or "easy for you to say."
Absolutely wonderful to see a lady getting it done as a blessed singer should get it done. I can only hope that you have not slipped over the edge and gone tattoo, black and blue the way so many chose to roll out there these days. Good job Anna!!!!
She sure is...she is just a very natural beauty..pretty voice too! She does not have to be flashy obnoxious and over the top ....she is just who she is and that is talent and beauty!
man, whatever happened to these kind of artists?...I only listen to Rock music, but I would say the late 90's to early 2000's, these kind of tunes were my guilty pleasure...I mean those were the days when Pop artists you hear on the radio really got "talents" i.e. Jewel, Michelle Branch, Vannesa Carlton, Alanis Morisette, Tori Amos, Norah Jones, young Avril, Sixpence None the Richer to name a few...
The 90s were the best time of music period. It took the best of the past decades/generations (even classical) and then added its own signature style and created a magical time period for music.
Sadly the good music era ended around the year 2010. There are good artists out there, their just not mainstream because this generation don't know good music.
UNREAL. How does a woman with a voice like that have those looks too???? I melt when I watch Anna Nalick perform. Stunning is way too weak of a word. She is one in a million.
I heard this song in a store today and it somehow fit the atmosphere. It was almost eerily quiet, with everyone walking around in their own "zone" and it made me curious about what they all may be carrying around with them (baggage). And I couldn't help but wonder if this song was effecting them the same way as it was me. I'm not depressed or anything. I was simply letting the mood of the song permeate my brain. And the imagery is universal enough that most people can relate to it from one angle or another. Great songs can do that. This video is the first time I've ever seen her, or heard her live as well. And I got to say, Wow. Not only is she beautiful but she seems to have a classiness that's refreshing. And this has to be one of the best songs produced in the first decade of this century. She deserves to be bigger. Only in the atmosphere of modern music would talented artists like Anna have to take a backseat to the 40-watt mind fodder that passes for music today. Great words, great voice, and again, friggin hot.
for me, this song is the can opener to caverns of pain today... it kept running in my head this morning... then i listened to it over and over again and the floods came and have finally subsided... Thanks Anna - you're the medicine after two years of just stuffing it.... xxoo
Just had to do one of the most difficult, nerve wrecking things of my life and I ended up sweating and more tense than ever. This song helped me get through the aweful feeling and breath again. So, thank you Anna Nallick
It's just a shame this beautiful performance isn't uploaded in better quality, but it has everything, from crisp wonderfully done guitar playing to her stunning vocals.

I sent this song to my loving friend as he was recovering from a Big car crash. Just saw him today, even hugged him, ouch! I just asked him to play it at least once a day. Especially when she says " by God its beautiful when the boy smiles", I told him that will happen again, he will laugh that laugh that lights up the world.
I would agree that the beauty in her natural essence of Light is breathtaking! Personally speaking? Art is subjective and takes shape in many transformative creative ways .. such as poetry, vibrations that produce tones, instrument creation to being a master of said craft for music to Bless our senses… and even ink etched to skin for nothing more then the purpose of self expression and Love. Beauty to many is found to also be subjective but .. once you find it in yourself, you truly begin to see the world and all it’s creation in the same Light. ✌️ ❤️ Be kind to you

Absolutely beautiful. Guitar is so tasteful, so full all by itself. Voice is incredible. This is music. Beautiful guitar playing, wonderful lyrics and a voice like silk.
She did a version "kinda" where she had laryngitis. The small group appeared to be comprised mostly of women. She asked for their help in singing the song they did and it was impressive the number who knew it. Her reaction was one of pure humilty. Tears of astonishment, thanks, relief, whatever it was it was genuine.
Wow - great musical collaboration. Superb guitar accompaniment, beautiful singing voice. Great meaningful song. You can totally tell that the singer and guitar player trust each other, 100%. Keep moving forward, no matter what!!
I remember meeting her at her concert in Jax. Florida. Great show! She was happy I bought a t shirt and a CD. Unfortunately tropical storm Ernesto was causing some sound difficulties but it all worked out. Great band and such a beautiful voice. Music is life. Rock on Anna and the band. As Belushi said, "The Band"!
2 AM and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake "Can you help me unravel my latest mistake? I don't love him, winter just wasn't my season" Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes Like they have any right at all to criticize Hypocrites, you're all here for the very same reason And 'cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button, girl So cradle your head in your hands And breathe, just breathe Oh breathe, just breathe In May he turned 21 on the base at Fort Bliss "Just a Day, " he said down to the flask in his fist "Ain't been sober, since maybe October of last year" Here in town you can tell he's been down for awhile But, my God, it's so beautiful when the boy smiles Wanna hold him, maybe I'll just sing about it 'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button, boys So cradle your head in your hands And breathe, just breathe Oh breathe, just breathe There's a light at each end of this tunnel You shout 'cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again If you only try turning around 2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer Inside of me threatening the life it belongs to And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd 'Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud And I know that you'll use them however you want to But you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button now Sing it if you understand And breathe, just breathe Whoa breathe, just breathe Oh breathe, just breathe Oh breathe, just breathe
OMG! I knew this song from a while back, but this acoustic version is absolutely beyond awesome. Anna Nalick is not only gorgeous but talented. She's also wearing a dress for this performance - is that even done anymore? Total class wrapped up in a single package - beauty, talent and genuine class. Thank you Anna.
I"ve never forgotten that song on Grey's Anatomy, and thought it was so beautiful, but I never heard it again, until yesterday on the radio. It was just as haunting as I remembered, I'm so proud to have it on my playlist!!!
My dream girl no doubt...but having a "hit" is a different thing. She's written some other amazing songs like "Knots" but they just didn't take off; i love them them the same though. I'm just glad we have her :)
This video is almost 13 years ago but it never loses its spark and charm. this song are one of those songs that helps me a lot to keep going and to keep hanging in there and to seize my life here on earth.. Anna, if you only knew how much u inspire me... im so thankful for your words :)
A near magical song, guy or girl haven't most of us been through the raw frustration and beauty of real love so tense, fragile and yet somehow wonderful.
Totally impressed with this singer. There is a strength within the vulnerability of the song and singer that is easily recognizable. Happy blending of the two. Kudos!

I don't love him, winter just wasn't my season"
Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes
Like they have any right at all to criticize
Hypocrites, you're all here for the very same reason
And 'cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, girl
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe, just breathe
Oh breathe, just breathe
In May he turned 21 on the base at Fort Bliss
"Just a Day, " he said down to the flask in his fist
"Ain't been sober, since maybe October of last year"
Here in town you can tell he's been down for awhile
But, my God, it's so beautiful when the boy smiles
Wanna hold him, maybe I'll just sing about it
'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button, boys
So cradle your head in your hands
And breathe, just breathe
Oh breathe, just breathe
There's a light at each end of this tunnel
You shout 'cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out
And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again
If you only try turning around
2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song
If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer
Inside of me threatening the life it belongs to
And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd
'Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud
And I know that you'll use them however you want to
But you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table
No one can find the rewind button now
Sing it if you understand
And breathe, just breathe
Whoa breathe, just breathe
Oh breathe, just breathe
Oh breathe, just breathe
Wow, I can't believe it's been that long since this song came out.
Whatever happened to this beautiful and talented girl?
What a beautiful performance, how is it that I have never heard of this woman. I love this, it brings me to tears
this is song is so scary beautiful...65 here and this song will be listened to a long time, I hope
The greatest elegant songwriter of the Nineties or maybe at the turn of the Millennium.
How can a human being be so beautiful
You've obviously never traveled in Ukraine.
Love her voice, always did
Best rendition of this song. Her voice and presentation is flawless.
this is her song=)
Absolutely beautiful with the voice of an angel!!!Love this song and she even gives my old stomping ground of El Paso a mention!!
Amazing. Always loved her music
I"ve never forgotten that song on Grey's Anatomy, and thought it was so beautiful, but I never
heard it again, until yesterday on the radio. It was just as haunting as I remembered, I'm so
proud to have it on my playlist!!!
I also found this song by way of Grey’s Anatomy. Very Haunting in the show.
Excellent video! Keep up the nice work!
a tip : watch series on Kaldrostream. Been using them for watching loads of movies lately.
@Quentin Kian Yea, been using kaldrostream for since december myself =)
This lady has some serious high-level songcraft art in her veins. The whole CD is excellent.
This is real. raw, and this woman is a true vocalist. No auto-tune, nothing. Purity at its finest.
This song was my hook with her.
I've been hooked ever since.
Almost all of her songs are my "Happy place" songs.
Anna is coming out with a new album soon. Pledge Music. Already ordered it.
Acoustic, a cappella - heaven!
I've had a massive crush on this woman for at least 10 years.
She's talented as hell and a drop dead knockout.
This song still hits me. I never knew what she looked like before I saw this video and she is as beautiful as her voice and the song.
Beautiful, in every way, in every meaning of the word.
My dream girl no doubt...but having a "hit" is a different thing. She's written some other amazing songs like "Knots" but they just didn't take off; i love them them the same though. I'm just glad we have her :)
Forgot how much I loved this song years ago. Gives me chills listening to it acoustic version. What ever happened to her???
This video is almost 13 years ago but it never loses its spark and charm. this song are one of those songs that helps me a lot to keep going and to keep hanging in there and to seize my life here on earth.. Anna, if you only knew how much u inspire me... im so thankful for your words :)

Im mostly a rock music guy but this song and performance is amazing!

WOW chick is awesome!!And drop dead gorgeous to boot.....
I love it! Beautiful voice and beautiful song!
A near magical song, guy or girl haven't most of us been through the raw frustration and beauty of real love so tense, fragile and yet somehow wonderful.
Totally impressed with this singer. There is a strength within the vulnerability of the song and singer that is easily recognizable. Happy blending of the two. Kudos!
