I started bawling when Lionel said, “You have been trying to get people to like you and accept you you’re whole life. God gave you a gift. (Amen🙏) I want America, and especially the people back in the Netherlands to finally know who you are.” ❤
We already know who he is.. He's a lying crazy guy.. He didn't raise himself.. He's not likeable because he's a drama queen.. You can see American TV is all about show!

I love how Ziggy does have a big personality and big presence, but didn't overpower us in the performance. It was so delicate and the powerful moments felt earned. Dynamic and beautiful.
It was a bit overpowered I have to say. I think it also was his story who leaded to the decision.

Im from the netherlands and I know how much people hate him, its like the whole country hates him. I didnt know he raised himself. He always said he didnt care about the haters, but I see hes very hurt and im sorry ziggy❤ ik wens je nog veel geluk ziggy!
No he is not. Most people don’t even know him. Opinion on social media is not an opinion of a whole country. He is a nice kid, very talented, but also very different. Unfortunately being different will create a lot of hate on social media. Everywhere, not only Netherlands.

@@melissa.033 ik was zijn oude oppas. Vond het heel leuk om op zijn broer en hem te passen. Zijn vader (inmiddels overleden) was een echte rocker. Ziggy kon alleen slapen met harde muziek. Ziggy had t niet makkelijk in Zutphen/Ned. Maar er zijn gelukkig meer mensen die wel om hem geven. Jouw berichtje is ook lief!
He has a great singing voice, big personality, & I love how he just keeps pushing through. We love you Ziggy.

Idols (the Dutch version), the voice of Holland, your own music that you have released and you name it! ! I know how hard it is for you here in the Netherlands because of all the hate that is shared about you. I've seen this fellow on some tv shows here in the Netherlands. Don't know him apart from that. I don't know if the Netherlands is too small or if people hate him here. But I've never seen him deliver such a great performance like this on national tv here. Best of luck to the guy!

When he was on the Idols most people actually liked him and supported him.
He wasn't only on the Idols. He also was on The Voice and other singing shows and then made some trash tv.

He wants to be loved and tries to provoke to gain attention. This is the wrong way. I think, he is really sweet and just wants to be loved.

Lol I'm Dutch and I've never heard or seen him. Got directed to this vid because of a news article. I'm about to watch it.
Never seen or heard from this dude in my life. I just read a (quite cocky) interview of him in a news article.
I barely watch any Dutch TV, but I bet he's been a part of the RTL/Videoland entertainment programs. I think I've seen him here and there in trailers/commercials for the shows. That doesn't mean I knew his name, or who he was at that time. But it's true what he said, it's Ziggy and you won't forget that name. Just because you guys didn't know him, doesn't mean he hasn't been on tv. Fame is something that cannot truly be measured, it also has different categories. How do you see Fame? I mean he might not have the reach as Ilse de Lange, or Paul de Leeuw, or another example might be that some might not know who Joost Klein was before he entered the Eurovision contest. While others (me included) already loved listening to his music, and he was certainly (already) famous. Though, agreeably the way he said "I am" felt a bit cringe, however, if you had said something in the sense of "I am an influencer, and have done Idols, and done some tv shows" it sounds not very positive and very insecure. You do not want to portray that energy in an audition or interview, you want to sell yourself. Give this guy a bit of slack, he probably was just as famous as Dutch 'famous' tiktokkers or TH-camrs (Nikki Plas comes to mind) that I would say are famous (though I don't follow them).
