Livingstone College is my undergraduate institution. Livingstone prepared me to become a physician and plastic surgeon. Many thanks to Livingstone College for a solid education and the A.M.E. Zion Church. Also, because of Livingstone College I got to attend Harvard Medical School and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Medical Schools.

Great video. I did not know that JCSU and Livingston played the first HBCU football game. I also did not know that at the time of the founding of the regions HBCU's that Charlotte had the nation's highest number of Black Presbyterians. Great Video.

A carefully planned tour of black high schools and communities by the actors/artists from the 1990s show "A Different World" has in a lot of ways turned the statistics of black colleges not having enough students drastically. This Fall 2024 school year is seeing the campuses of many of these schools filling up and growing.
