    The intro to Beat it was made by Denny Jeager on the Synclavier II demo vinyl disk that came with the original synth. Denny was never credited for it. They just transposed it -2.

    • @Snandra66
      @Snandra66 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They did interpolate it (if i recall correctly transposed a semitone down and 2 bpm faster or vice versa) but Denny Jaeger is credited as playing on both Smooth Criminal and Dirty Diana from the Bad album, so I assume that was to make up for nicking that phrase.

    I can't believe it!!! I worked on the Synclavier II back in the late 80s, early 90's. The studio was called Creative Audio and it was mostly a jingle house. We worked on albums as well. We ran analog 24 multi-track tape synced with the Synclavier. It was a dual recording process since digital recording was in it's infancy back then. Thank you Doctor Mix for bringing this out to the media!!

      Near. 😉
      Not the LM-1 but the Linndrum. Very similar but more widely. And all the "Beat it" track are with Linndrum layered with real drum. The accent on snare is record by MJ himself beating one of Jeff Porcaro drum cases. Yes drum cases. 😄
