The bill may be beneficial for the rest of india. But it's a different story here in Northeast. Yes, citizenship is good but not at the cost of the minorities. You know why ST & SC r given special rights? Because we r minorities. Our population is very low in our own state. Most of us live in huts and do farming for survival. Now what will happen if the bill becomes a law? Nothing will happen to mainland india but alot will happen to northeast. We r already suffering from identity crisis because of large number of Bangladeshi that settled here illegally after 1970. NRC was never implemented here. Narendra Modi fooled you and all of us. Now Bangladeshi immigrants no matter whatever bullshit religion they belong to will migrate to the northeast in large numbers & they will be given a land for their home & jobs by government. You know where those lands came from? The lands were reserved for the future of ST & SC by our king & the jobs will be taken away from us. In a few years, there won't be any minorities because all of them would starve to death because of no land, no job & discrimination from bangladeshis. The bill is a different story for Northeast. Please don't stay blind.

How sad!During the time of UPA government,everyone were talking about day to day problems like development,subsidy,roads,water, agriculture,scandals.But after BJP government,India is talking only religion,ram mandir,babri masjid,Hindu,Muslim,etc.How peacefully people were living before.Now all are scared to live in their own mother land.No one is strictly protesting against low GDP , demonetisation, economic crisis,price hike in all sectors,gst, unemployment.What happened to India?Amit shah and Modi claimed India to be a superpower in 2020 but now it seems like India is going to be a Super Flop by 2020.These two men destroyed India like anything.Even AB Vajpayee,L K Advani were better than these two .
@THE HUMANIST I was in bharuch district of Gujarat for last 10 years.But I belong to Kerala.I can see the roads in Kerala are far better than Gujarat which is the native state of Modi where Modi ruled for many years and still BJP is continuing.And yeah there may be long term benefits,but only limited to specific areas.We don't want development in few places.we want whole India to be developed.In Gujarat there is development only in places like Ahmedabad,gandhinagar,surat,etc all big cities.I haven't seen a single change in bharuch.It is the same like before 10 years.The only change is price hike and some new shops and nothing else.Do you want this kind of development?India can never be like China.Because 3/4 th of the money for development goes to pockets of ministers.

This bill(now act) is only for those persecuted minorities who came to India BEFORE 31 December,2014. It doesn't encourage people to migrate to India. Only those who came before the above date would be given citizenship, and they are still on their respective jobs as they were before.

Not this time. A nation was already created for Muslims. If they dare to try to bring out the division once again then it will lead to a lot of bloodshed in India. And this time most casualties will be from Muslim side as you can already see extreme Hindu nationalism among the youths of country. I am a chartered accountant and used to take lectures of CA course. And trust me during off the topic conversation with students I could really feel the extreme wave of Hindu nationalism, the same which was fuelled by savarkar. It is to be noted that the students I would talk to were aspiring CA's who generally don't care about anything except studies. If such students are affected by this ideology you can only imagine the other youths. Also you can track this by drastic increase in number of volunteers of Rss and Hindu parishad. So it will be better for Muslims to let this wave pass and let the things calm.

The people of NE are opposing CAB not on the basis of religion but rather they don't want their states to be full of immigrants irrespective of religion . The people don't have grudge against the Muslim people but unfortunately most of the immigrants are from Muslim community. So stop using religion as an excuse. These states are already lagging behind in economy b'cuz of immigrants. If u really want to support them then, why don't u welcome them to your states. India is a democratic country, so when people are not happy with the decision the govt must look into it rather than expecting everyone to follow their non sensible decisions.
