I believe his first incident when he got saved by an angel that it's more likely that indeed that was an angel, but I have questions with the authenticity of the search angel.
Thes. 4:16 is pretty clear on state of dead & that you don't directly go to your reward upon death but dead in Christ rise with those that are alive in Christ at the same time when Christ comes back for his own
I like mostly every thing he has said but to say that when one dies one does not ascend to heaven or descend to hell is not scriptural. The bible clearly talks that when one dies they go to one of either two places heaven or hell. The sleeping reference that the bible makes that many wrongly take to mean that our spirits don't go to these above mentioned destinations and that it just awaits the resurrection is because of how death appears to the living. When one dies to the living the dead person appears at least on the surface to be asleep. Hence we say at times when confronted with the passing of a loved one, it looks like they are sleeping like they are going to wake up at any moment. But the soul and spirit of that person continues on living in the next world and is concious and aware.

Then who does Jesus come to resurrect in the second coming if everyone has already ascended?
All through scripture the Bible refers to death as sleep. No where does it say we go to heaven right away.
