@@bigpapi5626 well I have been playing Scarlet trying to shiny hunt my first shiny and so far it was actually rather easy. The "let's go" mechanic really helps on finding shinies, sure it sucks to not have an effect, sound or sparkle in the overworld but since your Pokémon won't kill shinies, it helps specifically with Pokémon with small models. Also massive outbreaks in this game are done faster with "let's go" as they can go up to 120 Mons at maximum. So it helps that your Pokémon won't autokill a shiny. Quick tip for mass outbreak shiny hunting: You can go to a mass outbreak place -> setup picnic -> Close picnic and all the pokemon will respawn. Redo this until you find the shiny. This will save you a ton of time instead of auto battling.
The fact that "let's go" blocks the pkmn from attacking shinys, last night i was afraid to use that in case i saw a new pkmn and didn't know it was a shiny but now I'm gonna be using it most of the time! Also in the cutscene where Nemona teaches you to catch i thought the new spider pkmn was a shiny lechonk 🤣😂😂😂
For anyone using the mass outbreak + date+time skipping method, there are a few tips you should know: Firstly, if you are looking for a specific pokemon, try going to a place where you know they spawn and opening up your map. If you see the pokemon you're looking for on your map, drop a save and use an encounter power 2 of that mon's type, stay there while you date skip around. if not, move enough away to try again while staying in it's spawning location. (repeat until the icon is on the map) From what I hear, this boosts the odds of finding an outbreak of that pokemon. Also, you may wish to skip two days backward then forward alternating repeatedly in settings rather than picking a new day every time because I don't believe those outbreaks are necessarily tethered to the date, but rather it just rerolls when the game detects a change in it's 24 hour window. (Just in case Nintendo wants to get on your case about having a pokemon caught 2 or three months into the future lol)
I can confirm the save in front of shinies being like PLA was in a Discord call and we used a shiny psyduck we found (full odds) to test the spawn rates, that water duck confirmed to us it is like PLA. Just no sparkle sounds of course. -Doodlez

i know this is a month old but you don't need salty herba you just need 2 of any herba meaning you can pair a bitter with a sweet or a spicy with a sour.
For the outbreaks, can you save before battling everything and then reload if you don’t get a shiny? Would that change your chances and give you actually a chance to get a shiny? Or will it be always the same and still not get one? Does it makes sense to reset or is it useless and better to move on?
In outbreaks/battles in general, do the odds increase the more times you defeat the Pokemon you want to hunt (like in SWSH) or does the amount of times you defeated the Pokemon not affect the odds? The Pokédex doesn’t track the count anymore that’s why I’m wondering about this.
AFAIK, outbreaks increase the odds of catching shinies after 30 pókes have been defeated, and even more after 60 are defeated, stacking with food and shiny charm buffs
@@shakzass Thanks. Yeah, that's what I heard in other videos too, with all of them in play being able to go down as far as 1/512'ish so basically Masuda Method odds but for encounters instead of eggs and if you don't like your daily outbreaks just skip a day ahead on your Switch and you'll get new ones without having to wait for them to reset manually at midnight.

egg power level 2 at the desert where you deal with the ground titan would produce an egg every 2-3 minutes roughly possibly every minute. my husband had ended up with 5 eggs in less than ten minutes.
Had games since launch. Only ever encountered one shiny pokémon and that was oinkologe randomly that is pretty stage in between one of my gyms. I have yet to see catch or hatch one although I don't have the shiny charm because I'm missing Scarlet trades which I tried for but that's another story
When do mass outbreaks become available? Like can you do them right out the gate do you have to complete some campaign missions? I want to kind of start shiny hunting for a wooper right out the gate because it’s one of my fav Pokémon’s and I want to have a shiny wooper as a replacement starter for me so knowing if I can do a mass wooper outbreak out of the gate would be helpful.
That was already my first plan to do other than the 3 stories, is full the pokedex Edit: I’m only interested in paldea shiny because next year I can transfer my Pokémon home shinies 👍🏼

Guess I shouldn't be surprised in a Shiny Hunt video there would be Pokemon that we have never seen and have not been officially released by The Pokemon Company, but I'm still disappointed that it was spoiled on me. My bad...
I really wish the kept the shiny sound. As someone who is color blind a lot of the shinies do not look very different and it is impossible for me to tell the difference in the overworld
Idk if they changed the whole only way to know if it’s shiny is to battle it cause i was battling a lot of chanceys for xp and saw a shiny Chancey in the backround
when i first started the game, literally i dont even think i had a full party yet, and I found a shiny skidoo. just randomly walking and i see a skidoo that looks a bit sus
Wish I knew that pokemon didn't auto battle shiny pokemon...I've had this issue with a couple pokemon just trying to grind XP with low effort ended up just walking away from em and wiping other groups

Nooooo not sick of shiny murkrow 😢 that was my first shiny ever!
It’s always my only shiny
My first shiny was a Deerling in a completely different outbreak of pokemon lol
Thanks for the vid. Which pathway is the best one to start on if we want to get shinies early?
Pro tip
There are recipies where you DO NOT NEED a salty herba mystica
Especially for ghost.
Got me a shiny Marill and Dunsparce just running around.
i know this is a month old but you don't need salty herba you just need 2 of any herba meaning you can pair a bitter with a sweet or a spicy with a sour.
For the outbreaks, can you save before battling everything and then reload if you don’t get a shiny? Would that change your chances and give you actually a chance to get a shiny? Or will it be always the same and still not get one? Does it makes sense to reset or is it useless and better to move on?
You seem to be able to reset for a shiny in an outbreak as long as you do it out of viewing distance
Start a picnic. It will despawn and reset to new spawns rerolling for shiny
I caught a shiny Dondozo
In outbreaks/battles in general, do the odds increase the more times you defeat the Pokemon you want to hunt (like in SWSH) or does the amount of times you defeated the Pokemon not affect the odds? The Pokédex doesn’t track the count anymore that’s why I’m wondering about this.
AFAIK, outbreaks increase the odds of catching shinies after 30 pókes have been defeated, and even more after 60 are defeated, stacking with food and shiny charm buffs
@@shakzass Thanks. Yeah, that's what I heard in other videos too, with all of them in play being able to go down as far as 1/512'ish so basically Masuda Method odds but for encounters instead of eggs and if you don't like your daily outbreaks just skip a day ahead on your Switch and you'll get new ones without having to wait for them to reset manually at midnight.
out of all the pokémon games i've played, i have yet to find a wild shiny pokémon
My third day having the game was getting bumped around by wild pokemon couldn't get away... Got frustrated finally bolted in opposite direction straight into a shiny Rockruff 😅 lol needless to say I wasnt frustrated anymore
I found a shiny espeon and shiny mudbray so far with no shiny charm just going through the story and exploring
2 Shiny Psyducks, and 1 defeated Shiny Meditite.
Maybe it’s just me but the physics of the game feel a little clunky, like it’s a beta version of legends Arceaus
egg power level 2 at the desert where you deal with the ground titan would produce an egg every 2-3 minutes roughly possibly every minute. my husband had ended up with 5 eggs in less than ten minutes.
Mass outbreaks start as soon as you get your ride pokemon
That was already my first plan to do other than the 3 stories, is full the pokedex
Edit: I’m only interested in paldea shiny because next year I can transfer my Pokémon home shinies 👍🏼
Went early game grinding once
Found mass outbreak of tarountula
Kept reseting the spawns and auto battling for like 2 hours or something
Came out defeated
Can't wait for 12 am
See you then!
My first and only shiny at full odd for this game was Iron Bundle
scatterbug, in the start of the game to which is surprising
Just started the game this morning like couldn't buy it before and I got a shiny toxell just by walking and going a sort of glitch to get into an area I couldn't like first shiny in the first 30 min of game play full odds I cant even make sandwiches yet
Guess I shouldn't be surprised in a Shiny Hunt video there would be Pokemon that we have never seen and have not been officially released by The Pokemon Company, but I'm still disappointed that it was spoiled on me. My bad...
The game came out yesterday my guy. Watching media post launch is your bad.
I really wish the kept the shiny sound. As someone who is color blind a lot of the shinies do not look very different and it is impossible for me to tell the difference in the overworld
Got a shinx before my 1st gym🙂
I got a shiny charcadet from a mass outbreak then i evolved it into shiny armarouge!
I have 5, tyrogue, lechonk, go-goat, mimikyu, and hoppip
Idk if they changed the whole only way to know if it’s shiny is to battle it cause i was battling a lot of chanceys for xp and saw a shiny Chancey in the backround
when i first started the game, literally i dont even think i had a full party yet, and I found a shiny skidoo. just randomly walking and i see a skidoo that looks a bit sus
Wish I knew that pokemon didn't auto battle shiny pokemon...I've had this issue with a couple pokemon just trying to grind XP with low effort ended up just walking away from em and wiping other groups
Can I set up a picnic table to reset all the spawns with the travel method?
It's kind of funny that they make dragons favorite ingredient avocados because most reptiles would die if they eat an avocado
Shiny Swablu in violet just randomly spawned. First ever
I have a shiny drifloon I got from legends arceus I brought it to violet for my dex
i had a shiny Tantoula appear right after the catching tutorial i was like why is this spiders ball red when the others were white
