I need some of these for my purple candy n chrome edition
I just got a set of the chrome rims, and they look so sweet. You said it would be a good idea to glue the whitewall inserts onto the tires, do you also have to glue the tires to the rims. The tires, and wheels seam to fit together pretty snug already, and if I can get away with not having to glue them, that would be great. I'm not that great at tire gluing, and would hate to get glue spots, and splotches all over the front of the rims, and ruin them.
I think no one glued their 5.20 tires inc. myself. Like you said they sit snug already. I used Traxxas RC tire glue to mount the white walls after I degreased the white wall and groove on the tire thoroughly. I put some of the glue on a scrap piece of plastic and run some glue inside the groove using a toothpick. Than I placed the white wall on, flipped the tire over and gently pressed it on my workbench. Let dry for at least an hour before popping it on the wheel.
@@jevries That's nice to hear. I know with high speed racing RC vehicles you have to glue the tires to the rims, as the force of the wheels spinning at high RPMs will cause the tires to dismount, tear, and possibly fly off if they're not glued, but since this is a lowrider, and is meant to be driven low, and slow, and primarily show off, I wouldn't think that would be an issue.

Hi Don, Yes. I did the basic design for the Redcat RC Lowrider and they created the mass produced product. We ship just as fast and TAX free to most US states.

Hi, yes I only sell complete sets: TRUE 13 wheels, knock offs, 5.20 tires and 2X HEX 12 adapters for the front wheels.
When will the prices drop on the red at 64. I really want to get one but it’s way over my budget. Even for my friends and my friend’s grandpa it’s too much money. If it were a little bit more cheaper, I think the car would sell more than it already does
Hi, I don't work at Redcat but I do know that a price drop will not happen because the cost of materials and shipping has gone up like crazy. Right now I pay 10X as much for shipping as I did a year and half ago.
if anything the prices will go up more, so if you want one buy it now. they have had no problem selling out of all their previous colors. even the used ones are still selling for $600+ with mods.

Who is doing the gold and chrome plating for your plastic wheels?!
I had a contact in Poland butit's really difficult to find a company that does small parts/ order plating.
I just emailed you hope you or anyone sees this. i just got my wheels today opened them up and my Cross Laxed knock off is stuck and wont come out so I can put them on the car can someone help me out on how to get the knock off out the rim. I already broke a wing on the knock off tryin to take it out!
The only ones i find of these wheels are $300-$450……thats crazy price for 4 wheels & tires.
