- In this episode we load up Tortuga, the vintage VW T2 bus from 1976, and decide to head off for a road trip through Mexico. But it seems like the bumps are far from over and we suddenly find ourselves stuck in the middle of nowhere...
The plan is to leave Mexico City behind, drive through Oaxaca and then continue the trip to Puerto Escondido, La Punta. Van life in Mexico can be a lot of fun and truly beautiful but sometimes things go wrong. Despite that road trip in Mexico is a great experience.. as long as you are prepared for what can happen..

Earlier this year we spent 2,5 months in Mexico City in La Condesa area together and then headed to Puerto Escondido (La Punta) and Mazunte for a couple of great weeks. We then headed back to Denmark spending 4 months renovating our new tiny cabin and enjoying time with friends and family. But now we are back in Mexico, ready for more adventures, road trips and new beautiful memories.

I love this van guys. A big bucket list of mine is outfitting a van and Traveling across the US. Love that you guys are doing it in a different country. Y'all are covering quite a bit of area in Mexico. Well done. Have you hooked up with the Outlawes channel? They did a Turtle nesting documentary recently. I think there's was in Nicaragua but, they were helping with the conservation movement. Love what you guys are doing.
Thanks! That’s also one of my wishes (and something Kris and I have been talking about) but also all the way through Europe is a big wish of mine 🤞🏽 Yeah I did. They are in a different part of Mexico right now but seemed like they wanted to head to the Oaxaca coast soon too 🤙🏼☀️ And very nice with the turtle nesting. It’s great to see how people are trying to help🙏🏽
