Vince Neil can't remember lyrics, loses breath mid-show, and falls off stage with the greatest of ease... And then we have Geoff! Two years older, in great health, and nailing original material!! True talent beyond this world! Keep on rocking Geoff!!
Geoff's pretty damned fat. He sings far better than Vince Neil, but of course - he always did. Tate was one of the very best singers in the history of rock music.
@@Incomudro1963 you call that fat? Compared to Vince Neil? Take a look at the America population. And consider that this is the first tour for Geoff in a few years.
"nailing" is being a bit generous. He's trying to hit the higher registers and it's not happening over and over again. It's just not there and most likely never coming back. He's constantly hitting a wall on a flat note. This impossible to recover from without disrupting the flow. That said, the mid and low registers are dead on. I, many moons ago, could match Geoff note for note so I know what he's feeling in his throat when all this happens. His voice lasted far longer than mine though. He just needs to give up on the highs and make adjustments for lower keys. He can do it if his ego doesn't get in the way.
I saw Motley Crue during the Monsters of Rock tour. They had the bass and drum volume so high so as to drown out Vince's tired, out of breath, and weak voice. Keep Mars and ditch Vince.
He's an artist - uncompromising, devoted to his craft and audience - whether it's 100 people there or 10,000, Geoff gives it his all. The older I get, hell I'm 53 now, the more I understand and appreciate his art. The mistake I made over the years was to pigeon hole, categorize or worse .. expect the same thing twice from Geoff. He's true to himself and inner compass ... haven't always agreed with the decisions he's made career wise; but I respect his devotion to his art. Thank you for sharing this amazing performance, your generosity is inspiring. Experiencing this music when it came out is truly special because unlike listening to another generation's music you have an emotional connection to the songs.

Wow they sounded great 👍 the mix is perfect. Some of those songs are over 35yrs old at his prime Tate did amazing he's got most of his highs and his lows are back. Queesryche music is more relevant now they were so ahead of the curve.
You should have seen the concert in Ramona, CA a couple of nights after this. Sold-out and standing room only crowd that was really into the music and show. What I really appreciated were the younger bandmates who brought a ton of energy. This took me back in time and the sound was great!

Everybody knows that Geoff add trouble with his voice and attitude at one time. A lot went sour in Queensryche. Todd is not bad, but more aggressive and push really really hard to obtain Geoff's notes. I saw both of them live and nothing compares to Geoff's unique voice, it's smooth, clear, all around so nice to listen too. I'm really happy he as found himself a new way to deliver is incredible songs. He's such an good artist and good frontman. And what a showman. I really love Geoff.
Did you seen Queensryche back on the early tours? The Warning, Rage, Mindcrime, Empire and even Promised Land tours were epic. The Rage tour was at the height of Tate's vocals. And I would say Building Empires tour was the bands best. They made you believe the Mindcrime story. I saw all of these tours and nothing later came close. Todd is great, but it just doesn't compare to back then. Anyway, didn't mean to ramble, but it was a special time.
@@FreeMTrider Yes I did, I saw them as an opener for Iron Maiden with the Rage for Order tour, and 6 months later, they came back for the LiveCrime tour. Unfortunately for me, they never came back in my town. I would have realy enjoy the see the Empire tour. How I loved those shows.
@@FreeMTrider It was one of the best shows for me. I enjoy discovering new bands. The start of Seventh Son tour with the end of Rage tour. I discovered QR at that show. I was so glad they start the LiveCrime tour a couple of months later. I did not wait to buy that Ticket.
He clearly puts a lot of work into his craft and aims to put on a great show. Amazing longevity vocally. It may not be exactly the same pitch, but if it ain’t, it ain’t off by enough to matter.
This is great to see. I saw Geoff in North Wales at a tiny venue back in 2018 touring for Mindcrime in full with his daughter playing Mary. It was incredible, so close and personal. Stayed later to meet him as he left and he was really humble and poses for a few photos. The guitarist with the Mohawk was with him then (I think he was dating his daughter) so it's good to see him still with his band as they work well together. Go Geoff!
I could say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of Mr. Tate's vocals but that would not adequately convey how I felt watching this video. It was joy. I'd stopped listening to his material when he put out solo stuff that I had no interest in. I, frankly, had thought he'd lost it, whatever "it" was, I suppose it's what makes him, IMHO, the GOAT of my generation. Very little loss here!! Thank you Geoff Tate.
Rhythm of hope,Anybody Listening, Someone Else, Damage.. and that's just the beginning of my list 😊 I know every single song by heart 30+ years of it. And there are so many good ones to take a look at closely! Hope this helps
Honestly, I didn't realize there was a part one to this video. BRAVO! to See Tate and the band performing my favorite Album! OMG! Christmas came early. I'm literally singing along \m/ Thank you for this! Immensely!
Great performance! Geoff sounds truly excellent here. I was fortunate to see them a few months ago in Ft. Lauderdale and it was great too. This video sounds very good and is well done. I was trying hard to disregard the dork in the middle talking to his buddy the whole show instead of watching this stellar performance.
It's cool to see a drummer go with the electronic kit, sounds great. I love acoustic kits but I think electronic kits are so much easier to set up and tour with. Less hassle and you can go direct to PA system without mics. great show, Geoff still has it.
Gotta give it to Tate.. when he’s on.. he’s the best… When he’s off, you get Getting it started, I’m American, or Mindcrime @ The Moore, but this performance is damn good
Bro thanks SO much for posting this video. Every time I listen to Rage for Order I listen to it from beginning to end. Every. Single. Time. This was a superb performance. I always wondered how this album would be if performed in its entirety and somehow that became a reality. Nothing short of amazing. Thanks, again.
Yeah man. It’s one thing to have a band that plays it by the numbers. It’s a whole other thing to have a band this young that believes in what they are performing. And this is a theatrical performance
Who is the drummer here? All members absolutely killed it...but this drummer...this drummer was the glue. Wonderful performance ...and on an electric set no doubt.
When I first heard Geoff wasn't gonna be with Queensryche anymore, I was skeptical of rehearing any of the tunes performed again without the whole original band lineup, or at least Geoff, and what remaining original band members would carry on, BUT..after hearing more and more of stuff like this, I can see Geoff and the guys in the band that we see here, well..they are getting closer and closer to that more original Queensryche sound, though knowing the past isn't easily reduplicated perfectly. I've always been a Queensryche fan, always will be, though I stand to proudly admit that it has always been Geoff that has had the highest influence on me vocally, and with stage presence as well. Geoff is one of those "will not be another like him" ones, as with Chris Cornell, and Layne..speaking in the Seattle sound and life Rockingly. 🤘🏻👽

Wow they sounded great 👍 the mix is perfect. Some of those songs are over 35yrs old at his prime Tate did amazing he's got most of his highs and his lows are back. Queesryche music is more relevant now they were so ahead of the curve.
The sound guy did a great job at this show!
You should have seen the concert in Ramona, CA a couple of nights after this. Sold-out and standing room only crowd that was really into the music and show. What I really appreciated were the younger bandmates who brought a ton of energy. This took me back in time and the sound was great!
In Montclair at the Canyon they packed the front with tables and forced everyone to buy dinner! You couldn't even stand up it was so packed
Absolutely. I may be more impressed with the band than even Geoff's singing, and that's saying a lot!
I can't believe he would even attempt Neue Regal. I'm impressed.
Tough one to sing!
It's easier to sing than London or screaming in digital
Damn son!!!! Tate's voice is getting better and better...In top form.. Rage for Order and Empire my favorite Queensryche albums..
Thank you for the footage...
Saw Queensryche several times back in the day. Still listen to Geoff and/or Queensryche...every day!!!! I saw Operation Mindcrime...live, theatrical version...unbelievable...I watch the videos...can't get enough....he was here last Oct, but I couldn't make it.....I never watch that Q cover band.
This guy still sings as great as he did almost 40 years ago! Amazing!
@@danielskeene That's awesome! A bill with both QR and Maiden had to be a great show.
Go Geoff!
Geoff sounds amazing. The band is tight. What a great show!
Don't miss my other ones! Empire is on my channel too
H e’s so awesome! Saw him sing 10/10/21 at the Coach House. Awesome voice! Will go again!
He was outstanding!
Wow! I still remember hearing this album from a college roommate. I've been a fan ever since!
The man can still sang!!!!!
Couldn't agree more!
This album has a lot of digital drum effects as well.
Tate has pipes. Seriously, he makes the chunnel blush.
Geoff Sounds amazing and it makes me so so happy to hear this. This band sounds f'ing great! I want to go to one of his shows now!
Amazing sound
Saw them in UK as a support act in '86. Did not appreciate how good they were at the time to be honest. But still love them now.
The band is killer. Tate is doing great, and I have to hand it to the band - they are handling this material like consumate professionals. Dope.
Another great performance!
fucking brilliant. i dream these songs, and each time is like hearing them for the first time. way to go Geoff and crew..
I’ve seen Geoff n Q several times in smaller venues in NJ n let me tell you - there’s nothing like seeing your fav singers in a small venue!
HELL YAH! SEE YOU WICHITA, KS NEXT WEEKEND!!!!
WOW... great pipes still.... very impressed!
Gotta give it to Tate.. when he’s on.. he’s the best… When he’s off, you get Getting it started, I’m American, or Mindcrime @ The Moore, but this performance is damn good
I had seen Queensryche October 3 1986 on the Rage for Order tour in Biloxi. Great memories.
Holy crap!!! Chemical Youth literally brought me to tears, it was so epic!!!! Surgical Strike too. Hell, it was all the best
Seriously, I saw there in total awe
Yeah man. It’s one thing to have a band that plays it by the numbers. It’s a whole other thing to have a band this young that believes in what they are performing. And this is a theatrical performance
THANK YOU MR. SCOTT PERRY JUST LOVE THIS BEYOND WHAT WORDS CAN SAY!
Geoff has stepped his game up. Doesn't sound weak or tired anymore.
It's on purpose so the the audio doesn't get distorted
This sounds fucking awesome. thanks for uploading
🤘🏻👽
Only one Geoff Tate Chris!
