    Pretty sure I saw you fishing in Kure Beach yesterday. I’m a lifeguard and recognized the new kayak and white cooler bag. After you moved along some big schools of bait moved in and I saw a good bit of fish blowing up on the schools. Looked like some decent size kings.

    I have been using the pink Vudu Shrimps for steelhead fishing in Lake Erie and its tributaries with good success... The great lakes do have fresh water shrimp in them so I thought, why not?

    Hey Elias I landed a couple nice hybrid bass at my local lake this past weekend using the mini mac. Bottom bouncing in the main river channel and using pro cure gizzard shad. The biggest was 11 lbs!! I guess they'll catch more than flatties! Great video man wish I was back down there and not 200 miles away from the salt

    You're not kidding it will be a good year for catching Flounder, based on what's been biting your hooks for quite a bit of time now (4 videos now, is it?). There are some around MA waters but because of the unreasonable numbers of Robins and Dogfish the food for them is limited and so are they (unfortunately).

    Dude you video quality is superior. Did you get a new camera/go pro recently? Also I think it is stacked because they are out of season and not being yanked out of the ocean at insane rates but those were really nice fish regardless

    Love the vudu shrimp when there is more current. I like the chasebait prawn, but they aren't made for current. What was that wake bait you used? I have a few live target, but haven't had much luck with them.

    When flounder season opens and you start keeping them do you have a vacuum sealer keep your fish a lot fresher in the freezer and you can write the dates on them

      Thomas Jarosz I haven’t used it out front yet, but the weight is far more manageable than a lot of the newer kayaks out there and that’s important for beach launching to me. I’ve been using the Hobie drive for a higher speed. Cruises same as outback speed so no complaints out of me

    How does the Lightning compare to the Old Town (especially in the ocean)? Please let me know after you bring it out there as I can wait for an honest assessment. How does the Lightning drive compare to the Old Town drive? Speed wise, quality wise. Launching and landing in the surf comparison. Thank you.

    Elias, are you having any water build up issues with the Strike? Specifically from around the drive hold.
    Curious to see after you take it out in the ocean. What are your thoughts?

      Yes, the hatch has water and the the drive area doesn't drain very efficiently. We'll see what the other developments are on it.

      Yup even the guy that helped develop this kayak uses a Hobie drive on his too lol. They come with the V1 Mirage drive.

    Am I the only one on here who believes that summer flounder and southern flounder are the exact same fish but they just have different markings due to the area that they live in? And that over time, (genetically) the fish from both areas just happened to have more or less spots due to the area that they're in?

      Fluke Killer not a whole lot behavior wise. Southern flounder do not have oscillated spots like fluke do. Southern flounder are also way more tolerant of freshwater.

    I throw a cast net from time to time how stable are these Lightning’s? Mine currently is a lot shorter so i am fairly sure it would work.

      Sponsorship doesn’t concern me. Having a fishing platform I’m comfortable and confident in it’s reliability is my priority.
