- When a giant opossum got unexpectedly loose inside a Brooklyn bar, one fearless woman sprang right into action by hoisting the critter by its fur and carrying it back outside bare-handed.
According to onlookers, the woman, later identified as Sara Fulton, approached the opossum ‘without flinching’ and even said, ‘Hold my phone, I’m from Alaska.’ 😂

@@KumaBean The point is that it is HIGHLY unlikely, to nearly impossible, that the opossum would even have rabies.

Good call. You could tell the woman was handling it.
People are so afraid of this animal and , even though it might bite and must be handled with care, I was told they are the least to get rabies compared to other wild mammals and that big mouth is only that...most of the time. I removed one from the road once , it was hit by a car and nobody stopped to pick him up and away from the road, bit when I stopped to avoid others to run over him, two other people also stopped and helped, even a lady took him with her and told me she will take him to a sanctuary ❤️

Shes so badass and im so happy she did that. Opossums are mega scardy cats and the put up all that to scare others; thats basically their defense mechanism!
I raised a baby possum when I was a teenager and she was no more than 2mo old when my Mom and I found her. Her name was "Toka" she had all her shots & exams. She was litter box trained, slept with our cats and played with all the kids. I was always terrified of possums and thought they were vicious and gross, but when you raise them as babies to adults, something changed my perspective of them and everyone else that met her.
