Oh my gosh! I was so stressed a couple of times with those close calls! Eish! People should not be in such a crowded line up if they don't know how to do it properly. I think it's time you do another video reminding people of crowded line up rules. I always love when you share cool nature stuff like the 🐢 this time or 🐬 others. So far my coolest thing was when a pelican was feeding super close by & kept diving into the water from the the sky above.

I hope this doesn’t sound like a dumb question, but what is the best way to get out of the way when you are trying to paddle out and and someone is surfing towards you? Duck dive? Loved the POV. Help so much with my surf dreaming. Peace.
Not a dumb question at all. It can be difficult. As he mentioned, if you pick a line and keep paddling in that direction the person on the wave, if they are in control, can avoid you. What I hate is when people just sit there staring at me as I'm coming toward them without trying to get out of the way in at least some direction. Ideally you want to try to paddle behind the surfer into the breaking part of the wave. If that's not possible, dig as hard as you can to get up and over or duck dive at a point that's predictable. Sometimes it simply doesn't work out and the timing is messed up for both people. I think most people understand that. In that case I usually try to find the person in the line up and apologize.

It’s the scariest shit bro. I have been surfing for a little while now I have like 3 boards and ride a 5’5 fish and am learning snap and floatter but I surf crowded spots. I love surfing but I paddle out a bit farther in to the channel then paddle to the line up to not directly into it. That might help you

I am sure it looks worse on camera v.s. real life but it literally looked like your slicing feet on the way down the line. Aside from that, I appreciate this type of content cause it shows the different sections of the waves and how you are able to make transitions with wraps, cutties, and hacks. Inspiring to watch nonetheless. Yew!
As crowded may be even less than Siargao in Phillipines. But this Australian point break is way better (longer amd no chops) and people dont bail there board on guy riding it or push buy surf guides ... :-)

I loved that first full wave and when that longboarder was clearly going to drop in and you was just laughing away and it didn’t bother you so you just gave him a huge bucket spray and kept laughing , we can all learn so much from your fun relax attitude in the water making everything fun and happy just been so stoked on life .
