    OMG 😲. I just purchased my first longarm machine and in the process of putting the frame together. Can I really do THIS? Not sure, but have subscribed to your channel and I HAVE to have your book! Can’t wait to get started!

      How exciting! Which machine did you get? Hopefully you received a little training with the purchase of your machine. Either way just load some fabric and start playing (practicing). With a little practice and guidance you will be well on your way to getting some quilt tops finished and having some fun in the process.

      I purchased a Handi Quilter Avante. I’m actually getting most of my “training” via TH-cam videos! I also have a friend who has one which helps a lot.

      TH-cam can be a great resource but just beware. Not all information shared is reliable or accurate. Look into taking some actual classes from an experienced teacher, where you can ask question and get personal feedback. Also be easy on yourself. Learning to longarm is not an overnight thing, it's a journey. Celebrate each accomplishment as you learn this new skill.

    Beautiful work and very helpful instructions on starting a plan. I looked but couldn’t find the feather border on your website.

      Are you referring to the feather stencil? This is not one that I created. You should be able to find it at Quilting Creations . com and the code on it is SP71 Triangular design - 14'' Feather curl

    Beautiful, and I love following your logic. Which of the QP rulers do you find most useful?

      @ForeverQuilting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have all of them because I never know which one I will need until I start working on the project. But if I had to guess I would say I use the 12" & 20" the most.

    There is but NO way I would ever be able to do this. Expecting my book "Making Connections" tomorrow via local importer and I will surely study this...... almost convinced I just don't have all the brain matter to accomplish!. Love watching you however.

      Oh I know you can do it! The book is set up like a workbook. Working you through the basics of connecting designs then applying these techniques to different blocks. Getting more and more complex as you work to the end of the book. Once you see how this method is broken down, seeing what I'm doing in these videos will make a lot of sense. I would love to hear how you like the book.

    What color thread are you using?

    • @ForeverQuilting
      @ForeverQuilting  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I try to list that at the end of the video or in the description. Looks like it was SoFine 512, which is a light gold color.

    As beautifult as it is, i am a traditionalist. I dont like the denisty (as much)of these quilts done on a long arm. I like the softness of how my grandmothers did them by hand.
