Trevor, I like you but your 1st reason for pause is that Jimbo didn't go out 1st thing and get Bobby P. So WHAT. He might not have been his first choice.........SO WHAT!!!!! Get over it. Now let's get to the culture issue you seem to have. If you referring to how he interacts with players ect ok I don't know much about that and maybe you have a point, but Bama's NS may have the same issues but winning cures everything. You seem to think that most people were pissed off. Again you may know more than me but I graduated class of '73 and have season football tickets. Sent both of my children to A&M, I know a lot of Aggies. I know of no one PISSED OFF. I might not have been jumping up and down that we got Bobby P but I am excited the more I think about the hire and certainly positive that we have an OC that is really going to be an OC. Jimbo and A8M needs it. If our offense makes a 180 degree turnaround then it will prove to be a good hire. We have everything we need at A&M to win the CFP. We are close and this hire just might do it.

Trevor Knoght it's bot about culture in college football anymore its about winning. No one bashes Alabama about these horrible second chance coaches they have. Petrino is high to give us more points on the board and yards on field. That's it he is not a head coach but a OC. I am a AGGIE fan and wonder why you always bash the Aggies rarely do you talk about OU. If this hire was about honesty and loyalty would would still have Sumlin as our head coach. You had one of the worse OC' s during your time at A&M so you should know that his Mind for this offense is gonna take this team to ridiculous heights.
I disagree with you. I've seen Trevor pop up a lot with Aggie media because he's invited there. He comes off as a real fan and follower of the program. He may not be a diehard, as he also holds some allegiance to OU. I can honestly say that I only seen him talk about OU one time, but I'm sure he's talked more about them. I haven't seen Trevor talk negative about Aggie football until this interview. To be fair, he said he was coming around on the move, but he still had negative things to say because of the optics. I have to say that it appears that Jimbo not only was told to hire an OC, it looks like he procrastinated in looking for an OC and may have been forced to go with Patrino because he did not look for anyone.
All the other previous hires he's made were made within a week or two, or with a given timeline, and it was deliberate. This move was not that. Or maybe the pocketbook was not opened up for the people he wanted. 2mil for the Grub couldn't be beaten? Elko was paid 2.4, and Durkin is making more than 2 mil.
@@juanramirezjr5298 I understand what you are saying but the truth of the matter is it is a lot of behind the scene in football. Texas A&m pursued all the top OC in football just I think no one wants to deal with Jimbo or Texas A&M .
