I would love to have Harvey on my school bus. The kindergartners sit right up front in the seats closest to me, and they have the most interesting things to say. Harvey would really keep me entertained. Great job Sutton Family!
Thanks for the update..like someone else said ..at first I felt that you were crazy taking a four year old on the trail. By the third or fourth video I was wishing I was with you. You are fortunate that you could do this while you were young enough. You will have years of memories instead of years of regret for not going for it. Harvey has already learned a valuable lesson of setting a goal and seeing it thru. Harvey will do well. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your first week back. I can't imagine how different it was for you, probably kind of a culture shock to be back home. Loved that you chose the beach to debrief. You will forever be connected to the hiker community, those are friends for life that you will continue to connect with over they years. It was great to see Sugar Man show up as well!

Nice wrap up of what you've been doing since your hike. Noted the dinosaur dress Cassie was wearing. Only the mother of a 5 or 6 year old would wear that, LOL. I thought it was cute. Harvey's classmates probably won't have a clue about what he's accomplished. His teachers may though. I'm sure he had no clue what lay in front of him when he passed through that arch at Springer Mountain. Seven months later here he is. An accomplished thru hiker. With all the time you spend with him I'm sure he'll be reading in no time. He certainly has the desire and ability to take things a day at a time and knows that continued day to day progress is what achieves the goal. He's learned valuable life's lessons on his hike. Have fun and enjoy the "rest" (LOL !).
Little man is still full of energy. The only person I’ve seen yet run up to top of mount katahdin , and they were worried he couldn’t make it.🤣😂🤣👍🏻Great job.

I had a beard for better than 25 years, and shaved if off while my son was away at boarding school (10th grade). He came home one weekend and spent the entire time staring at a face he'd never seen. It was too funny. He didn't even recognize me when I went to pick him up.

Sorry, Fat fingers. A few years ago a man lost his wife to cancer. He waited for a year and sold his house and decided to go for a walkabout on the AT. He came up with a fantastic statement while hiking. '' If you can't carry it in your heart or on your back you probably don't need it. "" This statement is so true. We tend to become inslaved to so much stuff. I love my hiking equipment/clothes and the woods. But, On days like we have been having, 90°s and humid, I do enjoy our air-conditioning. LOL. Glad that Little Man/Energizer Bunny is enjoying his school. I pray for you two and what changes you might be making for jobs and your future. May God continue to guide you and bless your family. Looking forward to seeing more videos.
