I made a Pokémon game with Misty as the main character!

- Could Misty have become the Kanto Champion? Let’s find out with a Hardcore Nuzlocke.
Misty was the OG travelling companion in Pokémon. For two whole regions, and the orange islands, she was the voice of reason to Ash Ketchum. As the more mature character, she should have been the main character. To prove it, and follow Misty's journey, I created a MOD of Pokémon Fire Red as Misty, and beat it as a Hardcore Nuzlocke.

Ash didn't lie, Misty did get her bike back. He never said anything about the condition.
She did get it back, but I'm pretty sure Ash wasn't responsible for it.
1-Misty did indeed get her bike back at the end of the Johto generation as she,ash and Brock split ways
2-Goldeen has access to peck since it is done by a horn or a beck
Azurill broke out of all those Net Balls because it's technically a Normal type and Net Balls are meant for Water and Bug types
That's true, but it was so weak I thought it would be good enough. I didn't have to buy any balls during the whole run!
Baby pokemon also tend to have lower catch rates too.
I think its catch rate is 150 so its roughly average

Nuzlocke Joe used one of the fishing rods on an area of water to catch Water Pokemon.
Azurill is caught by a fishing rod meant for water Pokemon. It looks like a water Pokemon but isn't one, which makes no sense to me.
What I am confused on is how can it look like a water type but isn't one and is captured by a fishing rod meant to capture said water type Pokemon?
I have no idea what the designers were thinking when adding the type to Pokemon. I think they should have just made Azurill a Water type (Since it looks like a Water pokemon) to avoid any confusion someone might have.

Fun fact, the Pacific was named after the word Pacify or some derivation of that. This was due to when they first sailed across it the ocean was very calm.
And now everytime I give my kid his pacifier, I'll think of the pacific ocean.
Pacific is the direct translation of the Spanish name Pacífico, which could be interpreted as pacific or peaceful.
So yeah, after turning around between south of continental future Argentina and the Maldives/Falklands, the first sight was an extremely peaceful ocean

In Swedish it is known as Stilla Havet (translates to Still Ocean).
You only had 4 Deaths and that's it. And sure, it does sucks that Misty's Togetic never returned in the anime as a Togekiss...
But, on the other hand, you really nailed it on making a rom hack, where Misty's the protagonist! 🙂 I would like to play this rom hack someday... ^__^

My thought exactly! I never cared for Starmie growing up, but since using one in my second ever nuzlocke video, I jump at the chance to use one.
@@NuzlockeJoe 100 base Special attack is great in-game when it can learn a variety of Special moves like Thunderbolt, Ice beam, Surf and Psychic.

Well, I dont really think that Pokémon is quite the place for politics, but from what I’ve seen, the polls slightly favor Trump over Harris. Either way Biden now out of the race, she is the most likely democratic candidate.

Could try a May run in the future? Add some extra padding by doing contests, and maybe try to make things a little harder by only giving each Pokemon moves of a specific contest category (Cute/Cool/Beauty/etc). Maybe do it in Ruby or Sapphire so you're actually traveling to the contest halls instead of Emerald where they're all done in Lilycove?

I mean Misty did defeat the world champion (Ash) in literally the very next battle he (Ash) had after becoming the world champion.
There's a funny glitch right at the start - if you keep talking to "Mom", she keeps giving you Staryu, Good Rods, and Net Balls infinitely.
Misty really doesn't get enough respect as a trainer.
Play as teem rocket : all enemy are ASH, win EXP each time you lose to pikatchu^^

Growing up we had neighbors who let us vacation in their beach house, I will never forget being there and finally coming across corsola! my family was watching jeepers creepers. So i always for some reason put corsola & the creeper together 😂

Ye starmie is very good only one problem is power of starmie=tm if ypu get easy acces in game to stuff like ice beam , thunderbolt , dazling gleam. Starmie is beast especial later generation with stuff Like cosmic power , power gem . Still satrmie is my favorite Waters pokemon for this reason how much this pokemon Bring support on team .

Spectacular and funny as always! If I had to suggest a playthrough aside from one with Brock, a fire red run with Ash as an addendum run to parallel Gary's like you've done with Paul/Ash in Platinum would be nice too, and maybe the sevii islands being some sort of archipelago+ journey's could add more Pokémon into the run
I did a Pokémon yellow run as ash some time ago, so I’m not sure if I’ll redo it in fire red. But maybe?

In Takashi Shudo's anime novelization, Misty was fishing for a sea monster (Garydos) when she met Ash.

Good water types were really good in the early gens. But its nice you gave yourself a couple of challenges. Very good idea. I loved watching it.

Well that’s two suggestions for Brock. I 100% will do dawn, but I don’t know when. Editing gen 3 is easier than gen 4 imo.

I think Giovanni would gladly start a journey to beat any strong trainers around, to make Team Rocket rule the world and to punish some of his incompetent's employees. He also could meet the professor of the Orange Islands or Dr Fuji giving him pokemon. He could also beat Lance for a gyarados.
Starmie seriously deserves an evolution, mega evolution and an alolan or a hisuian form!

Crystal is a possibility, but I have almost no experience with gen 2 editing, and it's quite a bit different than gen 3. If She does a johto run, it would likely be in HGSS
19:08 The reason the Net Balls didn't work is because Azuril is not a water type. It gains that type when it evolves into Marill.
I mean, i guess thats true, but he's still a weak azuril, I didn't think it really mattered!

I would've made the second Gym battle against Ash to replicate their battle in the Anime. Although, if we're accurate, he wouldn't be able to use Pikachu, so I guess it's not as challenging as I initially thought it'd be.

I've never been a huge lobster/crab fan, but my wife's family is from the east coast and they love to buy boxes of crabs for family events and parties.

The problem is you were using net balls azurill isn’t actually a water type I’ve done the trick house quiz enough times in emerald to learn that it’s pure normal when it evolves into marill it becomes pure water and later after gen 6 it gets a fairy typing but in gen 3 before to physical special split azurill id pure normal marill and azumarill pure water

Absolutely brilliant as always. I've watched all your videos and love them but have to ask, why no sword/shield runs?
Couple reasons. It’s easier/faster for me to play though gen 3 and 4 because I know them so well. And it’s a lot easier on my pc.
Also, I’ve never actually played sword and shield, so I’m not sure what type of nuzlocke I should do for it.
@@NuzlockeJoe Well your scarlet/violet runs are good too, I'm sure those were a learning curve. And I hear you, I'm dying to get hold of the later gens but my pc can't handle it and a switch is really expensive in my country so I also stick to the classics lol. Looking forward to the next video
@@sairalittle8852 yeah those did take a bit of a learning curve curve, but I put in so much effort because they had just come out and I was trying to catch the wave. I will do sword and shield at some point, but at the moment I’m focusing on anime themed runs so I can’t say when it’ll be.

@@NuzlockeJoe at least ash got his phanpy as his "baby" pokemon later on, Togepi fit misty (ash can't baby a Pokemon) Brock got his happiny too (nurse pokemon)
