Draw the Story: Sample Bethesda Lesson | Compassion, Lesson 7

Jill Miller teaches a sample Bethesda lesson from the "Compassion" manual. Drawing the story will allow the students to experience the story and can take up to 15 minutes.
To reinforce the primary reading of the passage, choose two of the four options below:
1. Role play the story.
2. Draw out the scene as you teach. (As seen in this video here.)
3. Watch a video of the story online.
4. Use puppets to act out the story.

"Compassion", the first study in Jill Miller’s Bethesda series for individuals affected by disability, features 19 flexible lessons focused on how Jesus demonstrates compassion to people. Each lesson centers on one passage of scripture, bringing it to life through reading, drawing, and role play. Students discover Jesus as a person and learn from him how to see people and show compassion toward them.
