Readers of the books know that there is NO winner. As a supporter of Team Black I’m sated with Rhaenyra’s line continuing the throne, technically making her faction the winner, BUT the cost was so great that it truly nullified anything. From here the Targaryen reign descends into a spiral of madness and chaos. The dragons die out. Their power withers. And the other Great Houses descend upon them to pick at their bones for whatever claim in blood they might gain for future furthering. I mourn for *almost* everyone. Book speaking though; the greens got what they deserved. The show had done so much more with feathering their story to be more emotionally appealing

It's always rhaenyra vs alicent or rhaenyra vs aegon. At the end of the day the one constant is always rhaenyra. Other characters will rightfully get their time to shine but the shows made it clear that rhaenyra will always be the center of it all.

Great breakdown I’m team green because the fandom of team black annoys me to no end of how they worship Rhaenyra n daemon. Also it does help the fact the greens have more interesting characters n they know how to rule unlike the blacks.

5:14 she wasn't innocent. She caused this. If she hadn't been telling her sons about how their nephews are the enemy all the damn time, this would not have happened. Aemond most likely wouldn't be so arrogant or even have the ammo to rile his nephews up with the bastardry talk. And by extension, wouldn't rile up Rhaenyra. Alicent acts like the victim when all of this is a culmination of her own teachings.

Biased show.
I disagree because I feel like Alicent was sympathized a lot more as a character in the show and she is easier to side with and understand in the show than in the book. Plus, they show a lot of the flaws and unlikeable traits of team black too like Daemon being abusive or Rhaenyra being a brat a lot of times and being quite awful to Alicent who was a child victim and basically forced into marriage. I think the reason fans side with the blacks mostly is because of episode 8 where Viserys uses all his strength to defend/support Rhaenyra and Lucerys’ claim while being physically weak and sick. It made fans emotional and want to sympathize with Rhaenyra more. But the show did so many other things that the books didn’t do to have you sympathize with the greens. Like Alicent getting confused about Viserys’ mentioning of Aegon on his deathbed which makes her motives seem a lot more innocent… to fulfill her late husbands’ wishes. And also, the killing of Lucerys by Aemond being an accident and not murder like alluded to in the book. So I think they make it fairer than the books honestly and not so one-sided. I’m not sure if that’s what you were even talking about when you said “biased” but I thought I’d cover all bases anyway lol. This will be embarrassing if that’s not what you were implying cuz I would have written a lot for absolutely nothing. 😂

Truth be told the girls hit him first. Tho he did start smack talking to them when they were grieving and down. Nobody likes a loser who beat people up while they're down.

Most likely Aemond would have been the one usurping the Throne. If all the Green children would have swore to Rhaenyra probably they would have kept their titles and get positions in court. Nyra hass a line in the book about forgiving her half siblings.

The Blacks cheat, kill and lie their way to power too with all that nonsense about pushing Rhaenyra's bastards on the succession to the throne and Driftmark among other things, it's just supposedly all fine just because the biased old king turned a blind eye and favoured them. The Blacks have an easy time pretending to be righteous with how much the game was rigged in their favour and how they are getting all the spoils. But if they don't have to play by the rules, why should anyone else?
