"I am what I am" ....i love what she said ...She live by her own self definition ...She cannot be boxed ...I love the mystery of this woman ...very very unique and in a class of her own ...love it
Shes so classy and humble.. she finds its hard to except she is special, which makes her even more special .. so beautiful , so well spoken , so honest , so talented , so down to earth .. what more can you say about this woman.... she is an inspiration for man and women Love u Sade x
Right from the start it was pretty clear that she had an immense one off talent besides her magnetic presence. Musically what she is doing maybe not be extraordinary but she always knew how to approach the music she had in her mind and how to pull those delicate musical strings. In other words, she already sounded established and fully formed in many ways.
'I've always presented myself as I am ' 'I am what I am' truer words have never been said she has maintained the same image the same demeanor the same style. She is very true to herself. Her interviews are conducted with the same personality even in 2020. Her commentary on love is also the same. The only change is she had a jazzier style back then and she evolved into a kind of pop infused jazz or sophisti pop as they call it. She also displayed more vocal range. She has since displayed less range and she is almost a throw back to the monotone era of nat king Cole. In doing so she completely separated herself from almost all other female singers in pop who thrive on range and note variations. She is one in a lifetime truly an enigma. I don't know if I will ever see one like her ever again. Madonna has a clone in lady gaga, Whitney Houston has many clones for example Mariah Carey. Sade seems almost impossible to duplicate.
Thank you for sharing this and other videos of Sade... I'm enchanted... by her sincerity and loveliness. Just love listening to her powerful singing and have missed listening to her for so many years after 1990s❤
She is so pretty beautiful and cute at the same time classic and exotic beauty and diverse beauty as well with looks if European, Latina and middle eastern combined she has very cool style she's classy sultry smooth and voice like smoke and velvet.
@Mark Simmons umm African Where lol!? Nothing on this woman says African non of her features ...now lupito is african and looks every bit of african lol Sade look strictly like an Eastern white European woman mixed with Latina/Columbian middle eastern lol no one knew sade ethnicity until she mention it not even blacks nor whites I know this growing up during her era and the question was ..."what's her ethnicity? Which even Mexicans and Spaniards thought that she was mexican or Spanish and still do today.. which she has been often compared to Selena who is obviously a pale skin mexican woman... sooo that means if she looked so african why is she compared to an mexican woman lol ? She was even compared from the lady from the honey mooners show which the woman is white in looks... soo if she was so African looking how do she get compared to a white woman ? I never seen an african that look like her with sleek hair pale like skin pointy nose and small framed face and as far as lips that goes for anyone even Asians have lips ....sorry bud no African features there ....and to top it off she looks exactly like her white mother,if you seen a pic she took strictly her mother's features eyes, nose ,head and mouth .... sooo if she looks like her white mother just with tan like skin that means she still looks african? And does that mean african gene is dominate lol? But yet she looks like her mother who is white lol..make that make sense...just saying you can't argue it is what it is...she don't look African...sorry
Interviewer:"OK Sade that's enough for me", Sade Adu : " and me,"; such a rude closing from the interviewer, " Thank you " would have been more respectful. Television nitwits !
he says "right okay sade that's enough waffle from me!" and she replies "and me!", not rude at all, i suppose maybe you're not british and/or misheard? perfectly amicable conversation! we british are pretty weird like that, we banter in a kind of tongue-in-cheek way that's not at all rude in everyday conversation. it's cheeky, i guess would be the word for it! his tone was perfectly polite with how he said it.
They were politely ending the interview so they could play .it's always us Americans who thinks everything is rude but yet we treat each other like s__t 🤨

Taking a page out of her book, for sure!
She is one of our worlds finest vocal artists ever. Her style and vocals are unique and precise. A truly talented woman.

@Mark Simmons Yes she is, look at her with her parents it's a rare photo.
Why Mr wrong didn't make it in diamond life?
They probably thought it wasn't good enough and needed more development.

It did on the British version of the album.
