Genuinely talented both of you x
A truly exceptionally talented and beautiful band - I'm 76 so I know !!!!!!!!!!!
Tracy Thorn is one of the most powerful angels to ever have landed on Earth. 🧸🧸🧸
Absolutely agree with you.
I came here from listening to her autobiography Bedsit Disco Queen. It’s well worth the money!
yes sir d man-g
Amen!!❤️❤️
THE BEST BREAK UP SONG EVER
Tracey's voice is like buttered honey.
not in our year
One of my favorite versions of Missing. Nice and chill.
How good is she ??? That’s called singing, no computers and all the tech, just talent.
True but u sound like an old head lol
@@stavisince9595 unfortunately - a very old head , with a body to match , trying to convince myself otherwise . Cheers .
Her voice is one of the most gorgeous female voice ever. And it is at it's peak around these times. I love also the double bass, it combines miraculously with the electronica. This must be Danny Thompson, there is only one man on earth who plays like this.
This is so utterly beautiful and tasteful done
Tracey thorn..... what an underrated artist..... great record..... those were the days.
Amen.
England has produced so many legendary artists - I still keep discovering new ones every now and then!
Yes, it's true
no idea how many times I heard that song, but I still get goosebumps every time I hear it
Same. And I dont get that feeling for the garbage music we have this days.
Is my mantra.
There's something so cool and groovy about the synths and the acoustic upright bass playing with each other. I wish the studio recording had that, but at least we have these live versions.
ah the 90s, where you can wear jeans and a hoodie. and your voice and talent does the job..
So true
thats true; however i think is better if u are an artist to wear something better. They looked like if were buying at supermarket...
@@jaimeozxo5884 I hear you, but she had in the past difficulties with the "men" in the music business being condescending. She also has said she never like performing live. Let the music speak for itself.
wtf are you talking about. this thinly veiled excuse to shit on modern music is hysterical. One, they have fucking flashy dancers in the video. It's also a fucking night club lol. Two, you're very, very wrong. Image, fashion and music go a long way. I bet you also like Roxy Music, T. Rex, Brian Eno and David Bowie, too, right?
@@adnanomeragic9597 "They" don't have flashy dancers. That's not part of the band. They are the house dancers on the White Room set. They are in all performances on that show. What are you on about.
Danny Thompson on bass..................beautiful touch!!!
The whole scene of this performance captures a very dream like ethereal quality... its just perfection
Sublime: The unforced melancholic modest delivery beautifully articulates and conjures imagery over waves of pulsating moody beat music: Intelligent disturbing unassuming profound. At the furthest limits of popular song or modern reaches of poetry: Sublime.
"Missing" still sounds nowadays in a lot of places here in Valencia (Spain), I'm 40 and I have one brother and one sister older than me who listened to it so much in the 90's. Unforgettable song.
One of my greatest regrets is that EBTG had to cancel their show in Ft Lauderdale / Pompano back in 96 or 97. I’ve been a fan since the very first time I heard “Driving” and later I fell deeply in love with “Amplified Heart” which quickly & literally became the soundtrack to my life in 94/95. I played & still play that album so many times that it’s part of my DNA and my life forever! Reading Tracey’s autobiography has catapulted me back to that era and my love affair with EBGT. Since 94 I’ve purchased all their back catalogue and kept up with all their new releases! I know the show was suddenly canceled due to Ben’s health and I am just grateful that he is doing well and still making beautiful music. Love you forever! ❤️❤️ MaryLiz from Ft Lauderdale ❤️❤️
They are one of the most epic bands of all times, totally feel u! 🖤
Beautiful performance
We need a fresh new album. A deep house like Temperamental. Tracey and Ben, you can do it.
They've done that. Who says that more than 20 years later, even if they ever did a new record, that's where their heads would be at?
AND I MISS THEM (EBTG) LIKE THE DESSERT MISS THE RAIN.
Prayer answered. See: Nothing Left To Lose. 2023.
@@davelafave6678 That's great news! I'm listening "Nothing left to lose" now 🙂
Ask you you shall receive. It was released a couple of weeks ago.
Run a red light listen to that
Genuine drum & bass
How to talk and still be considered talented. You can see how excited the crowd is!
One of the greatest voices in my opinion..so glad I know about their jams...ebtg
Cant believe this is 23 years ago ffs 😥
yes, you believe
25, now...
I actually love the girls here. Adds a surreal slow-motion/time warp thing
the way she sings her influence is still out there
beautiful base on this.
They sound extremely good live here
My God! That bass is such a great addition to Missing. Fabulous.
Before Today is too good it’s held up with Time I played it for some friends recently and they couldn’t believe that it was from the 90’s
Synth pop never get old
Wow, wonderful to see these tracks live. The bass player is Danny Thompson, a real virtuoso bass player. Incredible performance.
One of the best albums ever. 'Walking Wounded'
"Could you be dead? You always were two steps ahead." What a line.
Probably one of the best songs and arrangements to hit our ears. I still cry when I hear it. Beautiful
A very good song ....from Tracey Thorn ( Everything but the girl). SUPERB SONG !
Love this duo, this is just beautiful music.
One of the best bands from this era.
I greatly love her amazing singing and songs !!!
her voice is so beautiful....even live!? luv EBTG!
Loved them both since
I found them in Eden 😉
AND I MISS THEM (EBTG) LIKE THE DESSERT MISS THE RAIN.
The best to ever do it
At least the dancing girls are on a different stage!
Yes it’s kinda strange as the ladies in red don’t really fit with the band vibes?
Una gran voz una gran banda ❤❤❤ tracy
EBTG are still awesome...top of their game....what beautiful music....just got better and better...saw them live at Metro in Melbourne...blew me away
that kind of video One gives the Thumbs Up even before watching. may we be lucky enough to see these Two going on Tour once again! ! !
Tracey and Ben, please do another album. Just always amazing!
Your wish is granted
2023 04 28 still ❤️
Belleza !!!
This is what exquisite class is all about They’re just superb
Unique vocal and composition! 90s
greate voice very underated
Two beautiful songs!
Magic💯🎶💖
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just sublime!
Go go go !
I have this on VHS somewhere… There drummer is just dope! I think I almost the VHS tape out watching I gazillion times!
These women standing in the front row not only NOT GROOVING to this music, but standing there with their arms folded. It's like you're watching musical brilliance literally 4-6 feet from you (being played live, no less) and all you can do is stand there? What TF is wrong with this audience?
Yes, I saw that too
Missing is still missing 😞…. Missing you ETBG
😍❤️
The dancers are ......... Energetic.
My Fav from walking wounded, great lyrics, the moodiness of ir and Tracey is in my top 5 female vocalists!
I don't want excuses
I don't want your smiles
I don't want to feel like we're apart a thousand miles
I don't want your attitude
I don't want your things
I don't want a phone that never rings
I want your love, and I want it now
I want your love, and I want it now
I don't want your history
I don't want that stuff
I want you to shut your mouth
That would be enough
I don't care if you've been here before
You don't understand
Tonight, I feel above the law, I'm coming in to land
I want your love, and I want it now
I want your love, and I want it now
My heart is that much harder now
That's what I thought before today
My heart is that much harder now
And I thought that it would stay that way, before today
Before today
I don't want a phone that never rings
I want your love, and I want it now
I want your love, and I want it now
I want your love
I want your love
I want your love
I want your love
I want your love
I want your love
I want your love
My first cd album bought when when I was 15 years old was from ebtg and I still play it.
Danny Thompson on double bass!
everything but the dancers
Listening in 2021 as it was 1996! Remebering my London time! XOXO from Brazil.
That is definitely the good song since 96 and it was a fantastic Lovely song best believe that
Till now ain't no one who does it like them!
Amazing Song, back to the youth
Brilliant
they were always a little different, an these versions confirm this. I personally like them more now than when they at their height. They maybe they were to far ahead of their time. But they are great, lovely songs.
Techno with heart and soul.
I got the opportunity to go to Ben's concert in the TROUBADOUR, so talented , hard to believe that i start listened EBTG in the early 90s
Oh my how I miss the 90s
Awesomely chilled
Sólo tú y tus marcas en el alma
So so beautiful of years gone
these girls dancing... please! but EBTG is always great!
But they tryin.
the stockings got me........
I don't want a phone that never rings. I want your love...💔

Always beautiful to watch listen to this ❤❤
Wish I was there, wow💗. Te amo Tracey
Wow thank you to whomever uploaded this, I used to have this on videotape until I lost it when moving, so nice to hear and see this performance again :-)
90's beautiful
This is hrad to play live! kudos to the drummer who can play non stop staying at the same tempo
Одна из лучших песен конца 90х
Miss this sound😔
Simply the best ❤
I still love this
I was looking for a different band, I ended up buying one of these guys albums as a mistake. Was not mad after hearing haha
And I miss you like the deserts miss the rain (always)
Missing you like nothing else, like deserts miss the rain, like the emptiness of the black hole of the pain'd heart..
Amo esta canción ♥️
Yo igual, es mi mantra. Es un poema de canción. Se extraña esta calidad.
Los amo
Thank you!
Musical genious!
I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
Past your door
But you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
Now you've disappeared somewhere
Like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Could you be dead?
You always were two steps ahead of everyone
We'd walk behind while you would run
I look up at your house
And I can almost hear you shout down to me
Where I always used to be
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Back on the train, I ask why did I come again?
Can I confess, I've been hanging round your old address?
The years have proved
To offer nothing since you've moved
You're long gone, but I can't move on
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain (yeah I miss you)
I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
Past your door
I guess you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
And now you've disappeared somewhere
Like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you, yeah
Like the deserts miss the rain (I miss you)
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you, yeah
Like the deserts miss the rain (like the deserts miss the rain)
like the desets miss the rain
(Like the deserts miss the rain) and I miss you, yeah
(Like the deserts miss the rain) oh, how I miss you
(Like the deserts miss the rain)
Tod Terry is a genius
