Nice précis. Helpful to me as a serving ADF Medical Officer. Would love to hear your ideas about resilience and preventative measure to prepare our servicemen snd women for trauma..

Very good information. As a person who's life has become a day by day moment by moment "battle" to stay alive do to trauma. I have a suggestion. Republish the video without the sound effects. I experience them as very distracting and triggering. Your information is excellent and spot on. Thank you.

I came here to comment the same thing. It is very unfortunate that they included the intrusive sounds. I almost had to stop watching.

Great content as always. One suggestion is that the audio effect was more distracting and unhelpful than it intended to be. Please keep making informative videos and improving! 👍

What if the person can't remember a specific trauma event ?

This clip is about single incident trauma memories in adults. These bubble up and are remembered (albeit in fragments). Avoided memories will often inform the themes of nightmares.
Trauma of childhood is often repressed which is part of their complexity. Childhood trauma needs a different approach. I’d not go digging without a experienced therapist to guide you.

Maybe use modality that utilizes bilateral stimulation. Might be able to unlock blocked memories.
