I really like the unit-turning-into-attachment idea of the War Surgeon. It certainly reminds me of MtG or other card games and it feels great to see this mix of mechanics on a wargame. Well done Corvus Belli.
I think I’ll play Northern Tribes until the Wood Elves faction comes out. Also excited they’re doing an Army app. Corvus Belli is my fav gaming company. Great customer service.

Cool set of rules. Has a lot of potential, so I'm excited about the balancing. The new system stands or falls on that. But all the special dice are a bit confusing at first.
I think this game would work just as well on a 2x2 mat with around 8-12 figures a side as the around 20 figures a side on a 3x3 mat. You could use a 2x2 mat for larger figure count if you utilize a reinforcement concept. I'm new to CB, but this game seems to have been in development for @ 2 years. Hopefully that results in a more balanced game than GW can put out. That elusive unicorn that GW can never quite reach. Though GW's Spearhead with a model count from less to more than Warcrow on an even smaller game mat . I think the crunchy level is a smidge high, but I appreciate the flexibility of effects which is desirable in a more narrative driven game. I've always though that 1D8 or 2D6 would work better than a single D6. Special D8 dice allows for yet another level of possible effects both martial and magical. I'm sold, I'm all in.

Does the card mention the # of models in a given unit? I get the availability component of bringing duplicates... but not sure where it shows the # of models in the unit? Mostly just curious if there is some icon or icons I'm not able to really appreciate from the screen shot!
Will CB sell the cards separate at a certain point? How do we get the cards if we don't buy the big box? (in the future, I expect you'll have Action Packs instead of 2 armies, that's why I ask)

I just love Hoopoe's energy, the unit profiles look great and they all feel very different. Not just rank a file stat lines.

I like how even the regular foot soldiers have their own individuality in the sculpts and I also like how we have cards now, too.
I like the variance in each unit so they all feel quite unique.
It would be great if they could show a booster pack for the Orcs, and the Hegemony.
They need to promote the launch box first. But yes, I want to see the other units, troups, etc.

Very nice miniatures. A bit to classical for now, but I'm sure CorvusBelli's sculptors will bring there own stile soon.
I think I would prefer separate cards for unit vs support attachment, but I get how it can be more convenient for players and CB.
