- Euro NCAP Frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the Full Width test, 100% of the width of the car impacts a rigid barrier at 50 Km/h. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 32 km/h into a rigid pole.

I don't understand why the sled is a passenger car and not an SUV and why is there not a 20% overlap crash test as well like the insurance Institute for Highway safety IIHS

Hoss Cartwright it's a very cheap car to begin with. The fact it's available and is so good should be applauded. However, will soon be mandatory for every car to have it.
That A pillar crumpling does not bode well. It means the structure is at its limit. Against a heavier or faster car, or if the Picanto was travelling faster (as most people do) the Picanto would suffer far more than a comparable car.
Still safer than motorcycles :v

Nick De Groot because NCAP test all premium security devices in all cars. Including pedestrian sensors, pedestrian hits, automatic breaks, etc
3 stars is not bad for a budget car
RaptorWolf81 for the same money ford fiest has 5 but on the cheaper versions. Also hyudai has 4 but its a test since 2014
@@metalehead95 if ford fiesta has all the security devices then it deserved it but if don't have the pedestrian sensor and all those things it's not possible me to have 5 stars.

That Picanto is Mostly sold in the European Countries, the 0 started version is made in the Latin American countries
