Love all your videos. In semester 3 of the LVN to RN Bridging program. We are given soo much information in class it’s hard to know what’s most important for the field and NCLEX. Halo traction for cervical fractures because after a cervical fracture youll soon be wearing a halo
At any point in time are you to unscrew the vest on the halo vest to clean underneath to prevent infection?

If a patient on traction has the weights on the floor, are we supposed to notify the HCP or are we supposed to fix that ourselves?
Notify the provider and ask them how they would like to proceed…. And make sure document instructions and next steps very clearly in the patient’s medical record. 👍
