I took 8 years off from 16-24, rode for several months and kept getting arm pump. Saw AJ's and Ryan Hughes' videos about keeping the hips separate from the upper body and it got rid of 90% of my armpump! I think the remaining is just from squeezing the grips too tight but hip position made a huge difference!

OMGOSH!!! I had this bike in 2004 the YZ125 and it was by far my favorite! We have a 1/2 mile long straightaway that we would drag race on, I beat everything I raced against with this bike, except the 350 Banshee slowly walked past me in 6th gear when I was pinned out, but he’s literally the only one,
And that bike would go from 1st to 6th just as fast as you could shift it, this just brought back so many memories! My mother actually bought her it for me on a deal I wouldn’t leave the state for college but after I got it we signed me up for UNO College in Ohio, when I got back I got my girl pregnant and sold the bike to buy our first apartment and that was the last I rode
😭 but now in 2022 our son is 12 next week he races now like I always wanted to, and his first year last season he got 3rd and 4th in the point Championship in 2 States, we’re very proud of him so we bought him his new 2022 KX85 for this season, he just did 2 weeks of Jammin Jimmy Weinerts Moto school and he is pumped for this season to start any day now! TEAM GREEN!

That guys story is alot like mine. I took about a 10 year hiatus off my bike. My hiatus was due to having a couple kids though.
I still had my 04 CRF 450 that I bought new in 04. I bought a 2020 kx85 that was set up like a kx100. Rode that around trying to be fundamentally sound on the machine.
I got my 04 back up and running and have rode about as much as I have time for. I tried to ride fundamentally sound and fast as I was learning on the 85.
I ended up having a blast. I lined up on a starting gate last year for the very first time in my life at 45 years old.
Id love to have AJ pick my riding apart. Corners are my biggest weakness. I can go fast and I can jump but the corners make me slow.
