Always thought that this piece should have been covered by somebody in the jazz world long before this. The Aristocats came out in the 70s and no one thought to cover this piece until Roy and Disney did it some 30 plus years later? How did the greats who were still alive at the time let this one slip through their fingers?
spainguit Dang man, don't mislead the cat, at least tell him the right key, Dmin is the key as is evidenced by the open strings on the bass. But yeah Emeranux, there's no way to get to the swing being lazy.
nice piece and sounds very nice! But I'm afraid it's too much off the original everybody wants to be a cat. With your arrangement, I would have prefered it being more close to the original chords in certain characteristic harmonies. Anyway nice track! Very smooth and great sounding solos too :)
I've been listening to it for years and am finally commenting. Jazz seems like a really good genre❤❤
Roy was the ultimate cat! A generational influence like no other.
Cats are graceful and fun to watch. I'm a Japanese girl and I make videos of stray cats. All the cats are robust and graceful.
Heard this on Sirius the other day + I was floored. Awesome!!!!!
Love this one...takes me back to the happy days of 50s jazz.
All cats in this band… no question. All I ever wanted was to be a swingin’ Cat.
Me too brother. Me too.
Reminds me of Cosmo, the coolest cat ever to walk the streets of Syracuse.
Miss you, Cossy.
gets better the more you listen to it
I remember the movie and boy do I wish that track sounded this hot .I wanna be a cat now! This is hot

Too bad that this song can't be jammed out about a half hour.
Oh, but it can. The busking would be glorious
It sounds like Miles Davis
Sound like Roy Hargrove to me.. maybe more like Lee Morgan but I get your drift.
Nono more like blue mitchell
Knowing Roy was like knowing Miles and Charlie Parker all in one.
@@PierreVeniot Clifford Brown birthed Lee Morgan...Lee Morgan birthed Roy Hargrove..

You're afraid that a jazz cover of a tune uses reharm?
Skulduggery
I'm not afraid of anything man I just gave my opinion about the tune ;)
