For people who are confused, this video says the library annex has 8 collection chests, but in the game there are 9. Also, this video says the Astronomy Wing has 6 chests, while in the game there are 5. So, the 5th chest from the Astronomy Wing (at the Potions classroom) is actually part of the collection chests from the Library Annex. Got me confused for a while. Other than that great video!

I literally had one chest left in the castle and this helped so much. I could see where the chest was but not how to get to it. 30:26 is a life saver for that info

@@tychowehry3315 every animal symbol is a specific number. It's zero to nine, and you just add them together to make the proper combination to open the door.

For people that don't know how to work the door problems, each symbol counts as a number starting from the left and it starts at 0 then add the 2 pictures together and solve for the answer
There's a bug some players are getting opening some chests that appear empty. I found the one behind the closed door near the potion classroom a while ago but following this guide I've just noticed that I didn't get the anything from that one. And that's a specific one I wanted to decorate my room of requirements hahaha I guess no sofas for me Still thank you so much for the guide, your videos have been saving me!

@alittlesshortforastormtrooper:plus it’s hard to get the depluso blocks just right to climb up to get out of there like give us stairs we have to put the blocks up to to reach the top
Older Harry Potter games had collectibles which were more interesting beans, cards, and others. Way better than unlocking gloves with red or green arrow.
My chest at 24:50 doesn't register as having been opened. It's still marked on the map and the unlocked item doesn't appear at the top right corner. My map says 34/35 chests unlocked. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
@Robert Tvarusko I actually still got the platinum trophy. It didn't matter that I was missing one chest. I went to the room of requirement, went into the four beastiaries and got the three chests in each and the trophy popped. Do that.

@@zanderthegreen2385the game is most likely half bugged and alot of the chests also don’t count towards 100% completion since alot of the chests are gear or coin chests which don’t count towards collection chest completion. The chest count for collection chests is most likely off/bugged

Mine is completely different!! I’m at the same spot as you, but mine was a cauldron that was very easy to spot however it transforms into a different piece than the one your vase does, and putting it in the spot you did does not work. Anyone else have this? I’m so confused!!!!

There’s 35 hogwarts chests,14 butterfly chests,12 vivarium chests(3 in each of the 4 vivariums),there’s a chest outside by the beast classroom, Chests where mr moon hangs out and sleeps, chests in the headmasters office, there’s chests outside of hogwarts and hogsmeade aka chests in feldcroft-Brocburrow, chests in quest areas,there’s also chests in secret passage ways

Missing 4 Wand Handles (38/42), 89/91 Appearances ( but i think 89 is needed) , 129/140 Conjurations. I can get 2 more apperances from challenges. I can open only 6 more chest in Hogwarts. I'm missing in total 4+11 collectibles = 15? How to get them if i have only 6 more chests? (i have opened already 12 in vivariums). I already bought all scrolls. Edit: After some research first suggestion is to check all butterflies Edit2: I got trophy after collecting 138/140 Conjurations. I was missing some butterflies and btw map will show that u collected all chests even if missing any from butterfly. I though 140 is needed.
@bitteroz:not you just have to mainly find all the collection chests since certain chests don’t count towards the 100% completion for the collection chests

I so hate the fact that the items those chests contain are randomized for every playthrough...I'm currently working on a second one with Slytherin after finishing one with Ravenclaw and those F****IN' chests just won't give me the house wall banners for my Slytherin-themed Room of Requirement. I got them super quickly for the Ravenclaw one, but I've spent ages trying to find them for my Slytherin one...to no avail 😤😡😤😡

I checked every chest in Astronomy wing. Each one is opened, but still showing 4/5 and it's driving me crazy
