i agree...the first attempt is a miss. i think the yellow tie ruins it. but to be honest, a vest is hard to pull off...even on Parker. I think the vest and pants have to match. Maybe that's what makes the first outfit seem off.
I just started watching The Mentalist and this look is very Patrick Jane (the main character) He wears a lot of 3-piece suits, but there's a lot of times he's wearing the outfit without the jacket, just the waistcoat shirt and trousers.
Really love the second!!! IMHO if not wearing a blazer it looks better when vest and trousers belong to the same palette. Anyway, all your outfits are always amazing
I really love a good waistcoat look but I think it needs some interest in the sleeves to really work. Puffed sleeves and embroidered sleeves are my favourite, but something like nice cufflinks can also work
I love how waistcoats are styled on Eliot from the Magicians. Character's costumes overall are very well done. Yet the waistcoats deserve a special highlight
Every time I see a waistcoat I just picture Simon Barker as Patrick Jane on The Mentalist because yes he has a suit jacket but he's wearing just a waistcoat 90% of the time. And he looks stunning.
I sometimes wear waistcoats, but I prefer ones with a revers. One is red leather, one is dark grey subtly checkered and one is black wool. Usually put natural coloured linen shirts under for a hint of historical flair
Those both look so good! For my personal style Im a fan of a sweater vest with no jacket, Ive beem buying ties to pair with it but Ill wear a necklace instead if I want a more androgynous look
Certainly would be cooler in temperature than a suit jacket. And your styling of it is great. Reminds me, 78 yr old grandmother, of embroidered silk vests/waistcoat of 1700s, they even used light pink or blue - - i have long thought that these would be useful to manly men for certain events or atmospheres--might-could use over fresh & clean t-shirt, or over cotton white dress shirt, with sleeves rolled up somewhat up the forearm.
Oh I can add one to this! I recently bought a new three-piece suit and it's this cool cross-hatch grey. The back of the waitcoat is a golden-brown and the outfit exactly as a would wear it in full suit mode (pink, white or lilac dress shirt, funky tie with a strong navy background colour, and then my cufflinks/tie pin etc.) but just without the jacket on looks sssoo good I feel amazing in it, definitely recommend people try it out!
I like vests and waitstcoats more than jackets personally, it's easier to move, and my go to is a shiny blue and black paisley patterned shirt with a black leather vest (unfortunately faux, I'm looking for a real leather one in thrift stores though), or a black fabric vest that I altered to fit me better myself
This gave me ideas on how to style my waistcoat, I bought a Reitmans one on impulse and it’s so so nice I will try contrasting colors or matching them with pants, thanks so much for the tips!!!
Other than the fact that you have the world's greatest hair, I was trying to figure out why clothes look so darn good on you. It's the legs. Dude man you have legs for days!😊
If you're willing to branch out, vests look absolutely gorgeous with blouses. Big puff sleeves, laxe accents, interesting collars folded over the top of the vest... Give it a go.
Suit vests and three-pieces just really appeal to me for some reason. That and jacquard suits that lean more towards the subtle side of design. Any person who wears them, I have to look twice.
I actually prefer vest with no jacket! Though it does heavily depend on the vest. Mine has an awesome snake pattern on the back that I love showing off :)
The first option has a Mad Hatter vibe to it. The second option has a Speak Easy vibe to it, which is better. This is why a 3-piece suit will always be necessary. The right 3-piece suit will provide the greatest flexibility. Either a Solid, Tweed or Glen Plaid pattern would work. All can work with or without a tie. I’m not sure why the waistcoat and jeans is called “hipster” when this look was around way before the term “hipster “ was created. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but this look was around during the mid to late 19 th Century well into the early twentieth century. Great video, though. Thanks for sharing.
I didn't get to see a good look at the back of the burgundy vest, but if it is unlined (i.e., the back is the same fabric as the front), it is much better suited as a standalone/separate vest. The blue vest, with the lined back, screams "broken-up suit".
I'm kinda new to you and your outfits and you can pull this off. Any fella who knows his own style can. Like my favorite fictional character of all time: Prince Lestat! Long before he was a Prince (in our modern times, in cannon), he wore this near identical outfit the the funeral of a human lady "Aunt Queen" that he loved to death after only knowing her for a very short time). You COULD technically say that this outfit is "vamped!" 😀👍
The first one was giving Bilbo Baggins in the best way possible
NO FR
@@Sleepy-Pile-of-Ashe are you saying no or fr
Yes! I was trying to think of what it reminded me of and this is it!
The second one is SO GOOD
Oh he does look at his comments, nice.
The second one really works.
Agreed!!
❤ The latter.
First one looks dorkey, second is fresh af
i agree...the first attempt is a miss. i think the yellow tie ruins it. but to be honest, a vest is hard to pull off...even on Parker. I think the vest and pants have to match. Maybe that's what makes the first outfit seem off.
The first one makes him look like a corrupt mayor
I think the tie is too wide on the first one, something thinner and less reflective would instantly fix the first one imo
In my personal opinion the neckline of the vest is what makes it look so bad
What I'm saying
The burgundy one is fantastic
First one is just my animal crossing character on an average day accompanied by gold round glasses 💀
Yes and also I love it
Fr looking like zaddy blathers
@@governmentname4088 is that a compliment to me or parker 💀
@@imcasualjimm yes
Absolutely stylin'. That blue waistcoat with all the golds and browns just pops so beautifully.
I really like this human. He’s witty, but he’s laidback. I like it.
I’m so glad Astarion found something so positive and helpful to do with his time
Oh. Oh! I hadn't seen it before but now I can't unsee it!
lool
AH THIS EXPLAINS SO MUCH
Tbh, I like both! The first feels very turn-of-the-century, state-fair fun while the second is mature/classy.
I just started watching The Mentalist and this look is very Patrick Jane (the main character) He wears a lot of 3-piece suits, but there's a lot of times he's wearing the outfit without the jacket, just the waistcoat shirt and trousers.
Its an awesome show. You're gonna love it.
Omg I was obsessed w the mentalist when I was younger.
Red John is Rigsby.
I had the exact same thought 😂
So happy someone immediately thought of Partick Jane!
@@sra8033 SPOLLLIER ALLLLLEEERT 😂😂😂
2nd one is best .Would love to see the first with a different tie .😊😊
I don't think I would have thought it had you not said anything before, but the first one definitely hits that old timey bartender
The second look definitely works!
The burgundy is really good. First one is like Carlton Banks vibes.
The second one definitely works, easier on the eye
Both lush, but the second one, executed perfectly!
Definitely the second choice. Looks more put together and classy 🙂
Have to say your jewelry is always on point. Love that black ring.
I’m a female but I love watching you style clothes. You look very dapper in today’s looks
That styling is kind of my go-to. since I'm a sweaty boy and apparently I also dress like an early 2000s hipster a lot. 😂
That is literally the formal wear I put my sims in 😂
If anyone likes skirts, a loose skirt also looks amazing with a dress shirt and vest! That’s my go to look for most formal events actually
A kilt will always work with dress shirt and sport coat.
My husband was wearing one w/o a jacket the first time I met him.... WOW! He looked sooooo good! Classic!
1st one looked like a Disneyland tour guide
Really love the second!!! IMHO if not wearing a blazer it looks better when vest and trousers belong to the same palette. Anyway, all your outfits are always amazing
That second outfit killed it!!! Both great but that one just hit!!! Love the videos ❤
So cute!!! I watch your videos with my 5- and 8-year olds, we love your style!!!
The first one is fantastic!
A snug waistcoat looks so good ❤ The second outfit is definitely my fave.
GORGEOUS BOTH, SECOND MY FAVE! Cried a little... :')
I appreciate a man who dresses. ❤❤❤❤
I really love a good waistcoat look but I think it needs some interest in the sleeves to really work. Puffed sleeves and embroidered sleeves are my favourite, but something like nice cufflinks can also work
Love the "early 2000s hipster" look!! You can still see this look in Portland OR. You look pretty smashing in your waist coats too.
Me too!! I just commented this. I need to relocate to the nw I guess.
I love the early 2000 hipster look. 😂
Look like a Disney theme park performer. The second one is better than the first. Love the burgundy
I love how waistcoats are styled on Eliot from the Magicians. Character's costumes overall are very well done. Yet the waistcoats deserve a special highlight
Second one gives the vibes of a pirate on their day off, lol. Amazing outfit.
About time Gabriel Agreste gave fashion tips. Looking real good !!
Every time I see a waistcoat I just picture Simon Barker as Patrick Jane on The Mentalist because yes he has a suit jacket but he's wearing just a waistcoat 90% of the time. And he looks stunning.
Hah I literally just commented something like this too, I just started re-watching the show last week
I love option 2!
I like the warm tone but both look great
I sometimes wear waistcoats, but I prefer ones with a revers. One is red leather, one is dark grey subtly checkered and one is black wool. Usually put natural coloured linen shirts under for a hint of historical flair
I love both of them! Great for warmer weather
Both looks great. Wearing brown, tan, yellow and blue looks smart and sharp.
The second one was far superior!
Those both look so good! For my personal style Im a fan of a sweater vest with no jacket, Ive beem buying ties to pair with it but Ill wear a necklace instead if I want a more androgynous look
I like the second one best, as the blue vest was a little to busy with the slacks
YES YES YES and did I say YES loving both styles. Only you can carry off this look! 👀 ❤❤❤❤❤
Great styles! Gorgeous!
The burgundy, last one, looks fabulous ❤
The second one is a little vampiric, but not too heavy handed. That’s a good thing.
YES! 🧛♂️
I love both, and what a great idea. I definitely will suggest my husband tries this for the upcoming wedding we're attending.
This solidifies my theory that you could perfectly recreate this man in the sims 4.
Bro is so majestic that he looks outstanding in whatever he wears !
You my friend have completely changed my mindset around clothing and style! I love it. Thank you 🙏🙏👏👏
Certainly would be cooler in temperature than a suit jacket. And your styling of it is great. Love both looks. That feather ring is so handsome.
Definitely the second one. Crisp, clean and stylish
You are like a real life, Ken doll you make everything look so good
Great job!💯 For both outfits!
The first one is giving me major doctor who vibes and I adore it for that !!
The extendo leg kick lingering mid air to show off the shoe makes me laugh every time.
Oh I can add one to this! I recently bought a new three-piece suit and it's this cool cross-hatch grey.

Second one looks reeealy nice 🥰😍😍😍
These 2 looks make you look like Peter Capaldi. Love your looks!
First outfit looks like a Ravenclaw student, on a sunday morning and i'm here for it ! 😄
This gave me ideas on how to style my waistcoat, I bought a Reitmans one on impulse and it’s so so nice
I will try contrasting colors or matching them with pants, thanks so much for the tips!!!
Second is soooo much better, first kinda reminded me of a tailor shop
This is one of those things that comes and goes every decade, but is timeless if you do it jusssssst right.
Other than the fact that you have the world's greatest hair, I was trying to figure out why clothes look so darn good on you.
It's the legs. Dude man you have legs for days!😊
😊 Both look great because they accentuate your slim waist.😊
The 2nd look is fabulous
If you're willing to branch out, vests look absolutely gorgeous with blouses. Big puff sleeves, laxe accents, interesting collars folded over the top of the vest...
Give it a go.
This is literally my favorite outfit to bust out.
That second outfit is phenomenal
Digging the second look, nice job 😎
The first set makes you look like magic teacher. Totally awesome.
The second definitely has the McLovin vibe
Hey I love this! I’m a big fan of vests like this and I’m trying to incorporate them more into my outfits, any more tips you’d be willing to share?
Berry tones make you glow
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All the suits combinations look great stylish and classy❤
The shape of the second suit vest is much better than the first one. Makes all the difference
Ooooh, the second one looks so good!
The background song got me at first 😂
Your sartorial experience is refreshing sir
I like the second one, very nice and classy while showing how you're different than the norm

Your hair looks amazing
You make mens' fashion look so easy, yet elegant, even if just wearing sweats and hoodie.
I like the pop of color on the first one. Second one looks good too
I didn't get to see a good look at the back of the burgundy vest, but if it is unlined (i.e., the back is the same fabric as the front), it is much better suited as a standalone/separate vest. The blue vest, with the lined back, screams "broken-up suit".
i love these! ive been looking to improve my style recently and these are super helpful! keep em coming!
I'm kinda new to you and your outfits and you can pull this off. Any fella who knows his own style can. Like my favorite fictional character of all time: Prince Lestat! You COULD technically say that this outfit is "vamped!"
😀👍
He looks like he'd be a charcter in The Greatest Showman 😂 shnazy tho
The burgundy is so much better, really pops!
First outfit is literally the one I give almost every male Sim in the Sims 4 😂👌
The "Nya! Ichi ni san nya arigato!" took all my concentration 😂
