Music has been watered down through the decades . Furthermore, taking music appreciation out of the schools deprived future generations of talented musicians & singers even if they were one hit wonders . You couldn't just go into a studio & suck on stage . When America had variety shows people yes even kids were exposed to the best of the best of the different genres ! When these shows disappeared it left a void in entertainment ! 😓

100%, when a hit song came out back then, it was a hit for people across every demographic. Whatever race, age group, gender, it didn't matter, everybody loved it. You'd hear music from all genres on the same radio station.

My mom used to watch him “Ridge” from the Bold and the Beautiful and as an adult I watched this video a few years ago and I was like “what?!?? That’s Ridge!” I had no idea way back in ‘ 88 he used to be in this group. Classic.

I LOVE this song, ever since I was 8 I first heard this song all over the radio in the 70s. It was THE HIT, still is a FIRE song man. Love it. I'm impressed it still rings an impression with the younger generations, that's a classic song right there. Did you know that the Player band member/vocalist/guitarist in the orange outfit (Ronn Moss) went on to play Ridge Forrester in the soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful?
