Can anyone confirmed reports I've been hearing of stickdrift out of the box? I heard calibrating with the app fixes it but still stickdrift out of the box when the sticks are hall effect are keeping me from pulling the trigger.
Been through two v2s, and buying 2 or even 3 controllers until you get acceptable stick drift is a fact. Still better than the elite, but still not great if you are giving it as a gift.
I currently own the Wolverine V2 and I'm torn between getting this or the Scuf Envision Pro. Alot of people don't like the Envision because of iCue but all my peripherals/ram/cpu cooler and fans are all Corsair and all controlled by iCue so it already runs all the time in the background so I'm very familiar with it and frankly it doesn't give me any problems vs what I've seen from people and I've been using iCue for years. I'm stickly on PC as well no consoles and I mainly use mouse and kb for my games, only a few games I play with a controller so stick drift isn't really an issue for me. The v3's hall effect sticks are pretty sweet but having the ability to make actual full blown macros on the Envision pulls me more towards it.
I have the envision and the software sucks a lot. I have to turn icue off when I’m playing with it. It will reset my button lay out and I get an input lag on the back paddles which doesn’t happen with icue off. I have to hardware map the buttons and leave icue off just to use it and that intern disables some of the features of the controller like setting macros, so basically I paid $200 for a controller, but only getting $100 of it to work. The controller does have a nice shape, but the back paddles are garbage. Instant triggers are nice though. I just bought the tournament edition of this controller because I’m over the envision bs.
I just bought the Envision today and I am returning it first thing tomorrow morning. Worst controller I've ever used, felt extremely sluggish, awkward button placement, and had drift right out of the box. I've had several generations of Xbox controllers, the Victrix Gambit, Gamesir Kaleid, and Vader 4 Pro. The Scuf Envision Pro is definitely the worst one I have ever used.
What's the point of the USB? Is it always necessary? For example some times I like to run emulated games on my phone. would this controller be useless for this?

Both the Fusion 4 pro and Razer v3 have very similar features and using K-Silver JH16. The power a being the far cheaper option. For that HE sticks. You are better off just getting a Gamesir kaleid or wait for the g7 pro. Both these controllers have very little resistance to interference. So pressing the Trigger will still affect the sensors, and the fact that when you press the trigger it will try and correct it self after a second. This affect microadjustments while playing. This includes the RT as well not just LT. Which is odd. They both have to use build in deadzones. To trick the readings. If you remove them. The veil opens up. Sure it's using HE. But they ARE NOT drift resistant. Recenter in the same spot is also mechanical impossible. They have a worse recenter mechanism than ALPS joysticks. And you get reads of 0.02-0.05+ without deadzones. If you use a dead zone it's feels off. And this includes the fact that jh16 don't last for competitive gamers. More for a casual player. I'd rather just installed Custom HE on existing console gamepads. Or wait for a gamepad with the new JH20 or TMR.
How do you know they are using the K Silvers? I’ve been holding off on getting this controller because that module kinda sucks and wasn’t sure what they’re using here
Chinese were the first to introduce the hall effect and they did it with a decent price . i can afford this controller , but this price is silly , way too much
Big reason for me buying past razer controllers is the mute button for the mic, is it on this one? The past ones i’ve had had the feature. But what is the circle button in the middle?
Since this controller is getting so much praise do you see them doing a version for the PS5? Their V2 Pro for the PS5 could use a similar refresh and it would be an instant buy, as I dont like the ps5 controller shape.
Im thinking of setting aside some money for the v3 since i use the moga XP ultra and after updating its just been freaking out and the bumper simply wore out
I was apprehensive about the price as well but the wired one is only like $100 which is totally reasonable in my opinion. After using it, I am completely sold on dumping the $200 for a wireless one. The wired one is good to but having wireless in more convenient imo. This controller is insanely good and love that I can remap buttons to the paddles without needing that requirement in game to do it. I can just remap which buttons are more convenient to the paddles as needed.
there are literally $18 controllers that have HE sticks that won't have stick drift. You are definitely overpaying by a lot and not realizing it. You can get a controller with the same features for under $60.
I like this I might try to pick one up sooner rather than later. I probably will go wired just for the use of PC gaming as it’s $ 100 cheaper well that’s $100 I get to save❤ The back button fixes are great. Hall Fx sticks too!! I wonder if they’re really all that. Honestly I’d skip on the rubberized grips
Shame you still can't rebind the back paddles to keyboard keys, even with ReWASD which does work with the Elite controllers. I just want to be able to bind the back paddles to push-to-talk on Discord but apparently that's a high hurdle for gamepads to clear.
Didn't mention that the polling rate is double that of a standard xbox controller. Its 250 Hz wireless (standard Xbox wireless controller is 125hz) and wired is 1000hz. And in the hall of fame in Gamepadia for low latency of 4ms!
Sad there's no gyro since it's for Xbox. But as far as 4 paddle controllers go, it's my favorite. There's no compromises. I've been loving mine for games like Destiny, where they just keep adding so many new mechanics it's hard to cram it onto a controller these days. I make use of all 6 of the extra buttons and it's been so so nice 💖
Not having full rebind freedom akin to something like ReWASD or DSX is really unfortunate. Only being able to bind gamepad buttons, not being able to bind several buttons presses to one button, and not being able to bind any button to any other button is really REALLY unfortunate. This gamepad is simultaneously the best and worst gamepad. I like its feel and design so much but it just loses so much accessibility and QoL by having such dated and limited binding options.
I thought "Pro controller" gave me hope for Nintendo. They don't have any good competitive pro controllers that don't drift after a few months, nor have hd rumble. Playing competitive smash and being very rigorous in taking care of my controllers, the execution still breaks down controllers. Even when I never throw them, drop them, etc.
@@itssomeoneelse Those cheaper competitors 99% don't meet all my requirements of wireless, hd rumble, and anti drift. I did my research and went through 10 3rd party controllers wired and wireless. Don't pretend as if they don't always slack off on something for the price. The vader 4 pro is the next thing I have my eyes on but that doesn't guarentee quality for nintendo. There's controllers that are for PC's that when they play on switch there is input delay which ruins the most important part of competitive fighting games related to controllers. Execution.
Sadly it will probably have quality control issues because razer can’t figure out their qc to save them selves in the controller dep. I’m on the v2 chroma and I get it at game stop because of their warranty other wise I wouldn’t buy it. I’m on my 7th one in the span of 1-2yrs under warranty almost all had issues in either stick drift or back buttons failing since on the chroma the back ones aren’t mouse clicks idk why but they aren’t. Hall effect seems nice but for the money I’ll see if game stop will start carrying the tournament one and I’ll get it since it will be much cheaper. Over all if razer could figure out their qc they will have a really good product but as of rn I can’t recommend their controllers at all (before the chroma I was on the ultimate that had the chrome design also had terrible issues around stick drift and for some reason the shoulder buttons went through 5 of the under warranty before giving up and trying other controllers from other brands). After the chroma I have runs out of warranty I will look else where for a remote 😢
Seems like every other controller, trigger locks, remappable buttons, grip etc what makes this controller special? What justifies the price. Literally every controller comes with these features now
Got mine a few days ago. Only thing I don't like about the controller are that the sticks aren't swappable, and because of this I find it hard to be accurate doing a flick with the concave joystick, where I've always used the dome for aiming because it is faster.
@@420beffjezos but isn't that the thing? Xbox won't let anyone use their proprietary signal so everyone either has to use a 2.4ghz dongle or wired at least.

Same, save your money because they're the same thing and the 10ft cable is long enough for most gaming setups. The Pro isn't Bluetooth wireless, just the connects to the dongle. Plus, both need to be wired to use the 1000hz polling rate. I guess you miss out on the small LED croma, but that and wireless ain't worth an extra $100.
I've been interested in the Wolverine V2 for PS5, if they could make the V3 for that console I'd very much consider picking one up.
only issue is having dead zones set to 0 its not centered. i set it to 1 and its fine. hopefully there is a firmware update or something cause everything else is great
There is a firmware update, but you currently need to use a PC to install it into the controller. It is due on the Xbox app.
@@1nickybe nice. I use it on pc just haven’t looked to see if there’s was one yet. Thank you for letting me know

Love the video! I plan on getting the wired version of this controller. I play at a deck wired already so why not save 100 dollars and get the wired one
For fighting games, how's that dpad ?
I used the tournament v2 for splitgate back in the day and there was no controller that wanted to use as the 6 extra pads allowed me to make some nice portal cancel plays
Does this controller have a turbo function for auto clicks? Also, you need chapters/time stamps in your videos
Thanks for the time you put in. I am so so disappointed with my elite controler. Just trash, in my opinion. Got 2 of them and both just full of problems and cheap components. Anyway, I'm seriously shopping for something well made and still more or less basic or classic in design. I think you sold me on this one. The only one I haven't watched a review on is the turtle beach model. But from what I've seen, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with this one. The only thing I didn't catch in your vid was warranty info. But great video. Love the energy and clear-cut explanation with details and the addition of pros cons and personal playstyle. Thanks again.
Is the dpad less smooshy and are buttons still smaller than the console controller?
@@minifix Hall effect sticks are worse for fps games though, I’d rather get stick drift than ever play on HE sticks again after trying them lol
What's the point of the USB? Is it always necessary? For example some times I like to run emulated games on my phone. would this controller be useless for this?
How is the D-Pad for Street Fighter VI? Specifically, is Gief and his 360/720 inputs viable in ranked or is the D-Pad a liability?
Hello can you also swap the sticks to southpaw or can you only customize the buttons?
Just got it and it's amazing.
Have you got any problems with it?
@mxrs2blessed none at all.

After having the Xbox Elite Series 1 and 2, TB Stealth Ultra Pro and Scuf Envision Pro, I can say that this Razer Wolverine V3 Pro is the best one I ever had!! Just perfect!! Let's see if it holds in the long term, but for now I just love it!!
This is exactly the feedback I was looking for because I am an elite series 2 user and I am trying to decide between either this or the envision pro. Do you find the paddles to be as comfortable as they are on the elite series 2?
@@tylerfrench4996yes!!! It’s basically the same position as the Elite!! For me it’s just perfect!! And the triggers with the mouse click are AWESOME!!!
What is your selling points
over the elite series 2? Thanks
@@CBarron-nu9vqI need to know this as well as an elite 2 user
@@CBarron-nu9vq It's just better overall... the mouse click buttons feel awesome, and the anti drift analogs are great too! I had too much problems with all 3 Elites I had.
I have the v2 and use all 6 paddles with Fortnite and finds it’s perfect positioning, previously had the v1 which is similar to v3 and the button placements got sore after a while
i have the V2 chroma wired. I really don't know how is possible for Razer to create an even better pad than the V2 chroma wired and V2 chroma wireless pads.
V3 is better. sticks are awesome. no deadzones is a gamechanger.
Grabbed a TE version and it's the best the 1000 hz mode for p.c. is so responsive and all the buttons as well well worth $100
I’ve been holding off on getting this controller because that module kinda sucks and wasn’t sure what they’re using here
Chinese were the first to introduce the hall effect and they did it with a decent price . i can afford this controller , but this price is silly , way too much
The wired one is half the price
You pay 100$ more for wireless
Can we make it wired since i dont want reduced latency. Wireless is always slower, also thought the sticks were hall effects why is there drift
When my controller is charging, the RGB light only lights up for three seconds. Is it same with you?
Big reason for me buying past razer controllers is the mute button for the mic, is it on this one? The past ones i’ve had had the feature. But what is the circle button in the middle?
that's one of my favorite features
Since this controller is getting so much praise do you see them doing a version for the PS5? Their V2 Pro for the PS5 could use a similar refresh and it would be an instant buy, as I dont like the ps5 controller shape.
Why does the razer controller look bigger than a regular xbox controller?
The triggers are the same in the 2 version?
Im thinking of setting aside some money for the v3 since i use the moga XP ultra and after updating its just been freaking out and the bumper simply wore out
What is the app you use for deadzones
Would this work on ps5 and switch as well?
Wish they'd have kept the back button layout from the v2. The butterfly back buttons are always in the way to me.
what about the apex pro digi 4 ? is better? or same same
I own this and it’s amazing. People complain about the price but just the fact that there won’t be stock drift. That a sale for me.
I probably will go wired just for the use of PC gaming as it’s $ 100 cheaper well that’s $100 I get to save❤
The back button fixes are great.
Hall Fx sticks too!! I wonder if they’re really all that. Honestly I’d skip on the rubberized grips
How were you able to download the software to play on Xbox x
can you recommend any headsets that will work with this controller? my xbox headset doesn't work with it.
Does it have gyro?
Shame you still can't rebind the back paddles to keyboard keys, even with ReWASD which does work with the Elite controllers. I just want to be able to bind the back paddles to push-to-talk on Discord but apparently that's a high hurdle for gamepads to clear.
Bruh that's what I'm looking for. Have you found any controller that does it yet?
How is this controller for racing games.. like Forza?
Do control freaks fit?
Yes
Crazy u can’t change profiles on the fly… gotta go into app to do so
Can the Xbox do the 1000 hrtz or whatever being wired on the pro?
I think it dose 250 since xbox doesn’t allow any faster
What is the pull rate for this controller on Xbox. Is it capped or can I overclock to 500-1000?
it's capped at 250 on xbox. wired or wireless.
So is i5 better to get the razaer v3 pro or xbox elite series 2 ?
I have the elite series and am looking to replace it. It is nice, but not as good as the Razer.
Didn't mention that the polling rate is double that of a standard xbox controller. Its 250 Hz wireless (standard Xbox wireless controller is 125hz) and wired is 1000hz. And in the hall of fame in Gamepadia for low latency of 4ms!
Hall effect sticks are worse for fps games though, I’d rather get stick drift than ever play on HE sticks again after trying them lol
@TechPanther7 chill out on the repeat hall effect comment lol.
@TechPanther7 so you can't calibrate the controller?
@@Mirror371 you can, have to use the Razer controller setup app in the Microsoft store or use an Xbox etc
250Hz wireless is still quite a shame considering the price point, much cheaper controllers can do much higher when wireless these days.
DO NOT BUY. They’re getting so many returns based on bad remotes. Wait a few weeks to see if they fix the issues

Hows with Pollinrate on Xbox? Same as for PC Mode 1000 Pollingrate?

Waiting for the Big Big Won Blitz 2 to ship out. Mechanical switches/triggers, TMR thumbsticks, and 2000hz polling rate.

Very useful video
Vibration motors?
You can choose the intensity of the vibration
Sad there's no gyro since it's for Xbox. But as far as 4 paddle controllers go, it's my favorite. There's no compromises. I've been loving mine for games like Destiny, where they just keep adding so many new mechanics it's hard to cram it onto a controller these days. I make use of all 6 of the extra buttons and it's been so so nice 💖
Gyro is a stupid gimmick

I super wanna get the tournament edition :) $100 for a controller like that sounds like it would be (and I mean this literally) game changing
Do you have a promo code?
bro the stray hairs on the initial shot???
Is it coming for PS5?
It should be. By the way, I saw a video of it working on ps5. However it doesn’t work for ps5 exclusive games.
Cool controller!
When will this be available for Ps5
It won’t don’t u see the huge Xbox logo😂😂😂
What a sales man.
looks like a good controller
I thought "Pro controller" gave me hope for Nintendo. They don't have any good competitive pro controllers that don't drift after a few months, nor have hd rumble.
Playing competitive smash and being very rigorous in taking care of my controllers, the execution still breaks down controllers. Even when I never throw them, drop them, etc.
Coiorvis, Flydigi, Nyxi, iine, Hori... There are tons of better and cheaper competitors.
That d pad is as gross as it gets…yet still not anywhere as gross as the price point. Foh Razer, y’all have lost ur mf mind.
I'm gonna buy it😊
Seems like every other controller, trigger locks, remappable buttons, grip etc what makes this controller special? What justifies the price. Literally every controller comes with these features now
The main thing it has over the elite 2 is hall effect sticks and mechanical buttons
Hall effect sticks are worse for fps games though, I’d rather get stick drift than ever play on HE sticks again after trying them lol
Got mine a few days ago. Only thing I don't like about the controller are that the sticks aren't swappable, and because of this I find it hard to be accurate doing a flick with the concave joystick, where I've always used the dome for aiming because it is faster.
They are swappable and come with 2 options
Does it work on Xbox 1s
if not what controller should I go with
Stick drift is still at 1.3%......for a $200+ that is unacceptable......
Razer, wooooo! 😎

$200 though? There's no reason to go with something else at that point.
