Guess what just happened to me lol. I specifically showed her a picture, and she even said that thats no problem and easy to do.
After she was done, it didn't even look close to what I showed her. The thing is that I already have a low self esteem and worries about my looks and wanted to boost it with a nice haircut. She completely fucked it up and I was so frustrated, that I refused to pay. And all of a sudden Im the dick who doesn't know what he wants.

My normal barber wasn’t at work that day soooo some new guy cut my hair btw the hair I have and how I want it cut is at 2:23 and when he cut the hair going down he cut it right up to a quarter to the top of my head and not only that but he did that wrong as well there still bits of hair going down to the back and I noticed he was cutting way to much hair of the sides as well witch wasn’t normal.
My barber just took like 6 inches of my hair when i asked for 2 off. She literally faced me away from the mirror

So relatable! I haven’t had a haircut in a couple months because I’m trying to grow my hair out after a barber totally made my hair uneven. I tried for an undercut, and One side was longer than the other, The sides were average but when my hair wasn’t formed back everything just wasn’t even, I’d have to have product in my hair 24/7 just to look good!!
I’m really angry because I like my hair to be pretty long and shaggy on the top but pretty short on the sides. I told this to my barber (never had her before as I only walked in) and she just sheered off all my hair that was on the top and later claimed that I said two inches off the top which I never said! I almost felt like just walking out without paying but I decided I wouldn’t cause too much drama. I can’t wait to find a new barber.

I met my stylist at a different shop, several years ago. One day, I went in for an appointment and found out she had moved across town.
So I went to the new place, got back on the books, and got a call later that she was was able to squeeze me in that day due to a no-show. Love her.

I asked for a crew cut right (kinda short) and the dude he just cut he gave a perfect crew cut which made me feel like "ok he's not bad" so I asked him for a crew cut, and after 1 minute he shaved nearly EVERYTHING and he just left me with a semi bald. Now I'm here

This has happened to me many times, I've gone through about 10 barbers in the past 3 years. I finally found a good barber Hector Martinez at Hanks barber shop in Camarillo CA. Very happy with his work. Great video by the way

Great video. All you points are spot on. I've been at my barbershop for almost three years. My barber always asks what I want to do. Sometimes a change up my style and cut. She always gets it right because we communicate well. I go to the Boardwalk barbershop in Riverside California. My barber is Danie. A great woman barber. Great place and people. You can have a beer while your wait.

I had a thick head of hair, and sweet sideburns. I said to even out the sideburns, square out the back, and bring down the top. I end up with no sideburns, no back, and a weird fring on the top. I couldn't tell what they were doing because I didn't have my glasses on. So now I'm in a nightmare.

I'll give a shout out to Debbie at Headshop in Ewell, Surrey here in the U.K. Have been a customer there for a year now - I book an appointment every 4 weeks, and she does a consistently great job with my hair 10/10 :-)
I came in and I started explaining that I was growing my hair, but he was like "I'm an expert I know I know". HE MADE ME LOOK LIKE A FREAKING DOUCHEBAG. I am a Marketing Manager and I was going to a formal meeting, so my aim was to cut of the dead ends, that's it. Now, I can't even look into the mirror.

Find out what guard size he/she used. 90% sure that is the miscommunication. Just one or two numbers is probably all you have to remember.
My girlfriend's sister's best friend Lyssa does my hair. She bring her stuff right to my place and does everything right in the comfort of my own home and takes the time to make sure everything is exactly right. For $15 a pop, can't beat it.

Pedro from Wilson's Classic Barber Shop in Redlands, CA is the best barber I've had. Been going back to him for almost two years now, and he always gives me a great haircut. Even when I can't show him a picture, he gets the job done right.

I have two, each in different cities. One is Q at The Chop Shop, who I have gotten haircuts from since the middle of my high school days, and the other is James at 5 Star Salon, who first cut my hair when i got a new style.
Fortunately i started losing hair, now i shave it weekly! Barber days are long gone!

Sir, I am a girl and today I asked for bangs and the lady started cutting them and wouldn’t stop. I was trying not to cry cause it was so bad. I gave her a reference picture but now it looks like a got a bowl cut. Asked for a bald fade. Apparently english isnt his first language and made me bald
The problem is finding a REAL barber who knows how to cut hair, most of the barbers or shall I call them hair cutters only know how to put tips on electric clippers and then say, " so what you're saying is that you want a seven on top and a two on the sides", if the barber can't cut your hair with a comb and a pair of scissors then you're getting your hair cut by an untrained hair cutter. You should be able to go up to a barber with a photo of yourself or someone else and say I want it to look like this, a real barber should be able to produce something close to it.
I went to my hairdressers today and showed her a picture. I basically wanted a trim and it’s a haircut I go for all the time. It’s curtains with slightly shaved at the back. The top bit to about my eyebrows. I showed her a picture and told her that and stuff but she cut one side way shorter than the other and it looks stupid on me. I don’t have the face for such a short hairstyle and it makes me look almost bald. Not to mention that I have low self esteem as it it. I’m stressing big time. I would love to just wear a hat but my school don’t allow hats so they will tell me to take it off no matter what I do. I’m frustrated and now my self esteem has gotten worse.
I know bro they pretty much cut most of my hair on top 😒 last time I'm going to great clips. I told them one inch off the top and she cut more 2/3's of my hair off. I can keep on going on about it but not going too lol. Overall I told them I didn't like it and that is not what I asked for at all

for first time in my life, i got a haircut bad enough where i clearly realize it's dog shit and am actually embarrassed. normally i don't care cuz my hair grows so fast but holy fuck. i just started going to this shop and lady i normally get cut from last few times left. they tell me they have one opening in a few hours before they close for 515, they close at 6. walk in at 515 and told to wait he'll be done soon. after waiting what was probably 20 mins maybe longer i should've just left.

Man this video couldn't have came at a better time. I just got a bad hair cut. I pomp my hair(pompadour) .... and this new guy didnt know exactly how to cut it.. so I gave him the step by step. And he still couldn't do it right .. couldn't really do anything I was in a rush, had to go to work. Luckily slicking my hair back did the job...
