I admire your attitudes about facing the end of your favorite shows. It’s nearly my first time to watch your video while I was following your account on Twitter. But after watching this, I do admire your mindset better - thus explaning the teaser of the fan project in the end of the video. We can keep seeking for what we can do in the future, preparing the future in a more constructive way. I have learned what fanfics and fanarts can potentially do for years - do what canon couldn't afford for reasons - and it’s good to see you seemingly are aware of it. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for your future projects, as much as your channel ;)
What Would Molly Do? I wanna do some good and spread some joy! I’m working with Bill and Bob and a bunch of other fans of the show to put together a massive charity stream! As for Haunted Mansion, I actually have been planning this basically since Season 2 came out, and I’m SO EXCITED.
@@jakebrinks2978 yeah. Or they could say S3 takes place before the ending aka a Midquel. Or remake S2’s ending to reflect anything that happens in S3/make the full ending they wanted.
I could only imagine something like Scratch becoming somewhat of a sleep Wraith cause he was too long one, butt Todd still can not remember his Ghost live, but scratch does.
I love how quick Molly is to tell Scratch/Todd to go back to living and take the risk of forgetting his afterlife and her forever. All it takes is seeing him regret wasting his life to convince her he can't stay as her ghost friend and has to go live his life. SCRATCH had to be the one to be convinced. And it's clear it hurts her. It's clear she's going to miss him forever. The animation and voice acting do a phenomenal job getting that across. But, like she said, risks are what make life worth living. And if convincing her best friend to live his life again means sacrificing her friendship with him, so be it.
""I don't want to be angry or bitter that the show has been sadly cut short, I want to celebrate the show that we got." As much as I am saddened at the waste of Andrea's character, I'm also on the same boat.
You know what detail I noticed about Ollie’s wraith form. It’s the exact color you get if you combine Molly and June’s wraith form colors. Which shows how Ollie has the high amount of joy like Molly but also has a more laidback and relaxed personality like June.
Despite the fact that The Ghost And Molly McGee didn’t get a 3rd season, but I’m happy that the show still managed to finish it’s story and have a happy ending like Ducktales 2017 and The Owl House instead of ending on a cliffhanger like Wonder Over Yonder.
This show impacted me in SO many ways. It helped me feel valid as a mixed white/hispanic kid, as I hadn't felt "hispanic" enough. It helped me realize my naivety wasn't a thing to be ashamed of. Most importantly, it helped me cope with having moved around so much in my life that I could barely bring myself to connect with people in new places. Because of this show, I've let myself make so many good friends, and it really changed my outlook on life. However, I wouldn't have even watched this show if I hadn't stumbled upon your channel. Thank you, Sunnyland!!
Ive been a Molly McGee fan for YEARS. And this finale BROKE ME. I didn’t even cry but this finale hit the hardest out of all of them. It will always be a fun rewatch. This show has done so much for me, the finale broke my heart. I really wish that the show got a season 3. It deserved it, it was an amazing show and probably the best one I’ve ever watched. I loved it more than The Owl House, Amphibia, It had its funny moments, its genuine moments, and moments where it was hard to believe it was a children show. This show has done SO MUCH, and that’s an under exaggeration. Hopefully another show will swoop in and hit as hard as this one, but none of the shows will be like this one. It’s so creative, genuine, and funny. I’m still in my “denial” phase, I hope the show will get a movie or something but this IS truly the end. Thank you, the ghost and Molly McGee.
I really wished the show utilized Ollie and Molly’s relationship more and by that I mean the fact that they’re dating now There’s so much stories taht could be done with the “two teens trying to date but are lowkey clueless” kinda idea like what they did with Lumity in owl house
I adored this finale, and yet, I can’t help but get emotional. I mean, for corn’s sake, the CREDITS TUNE playing in Live a Little managed to break me. And this is the first time a piece of media has gotten me to that point in a VERY long time. Like, the last anything that got me to even tear up, let alone cry, was Toy Story 3. And my gosh, this ending really hit me hard. In my own little mind, I like to think Scratch got to keep his memories of being a ghost- he just pretended not to so he wouldn’t get cold feet from leaving all his new friends and family, as that feels very Scratch; refusing to admit to those he’s closest to that he cares. I also like to picture Scratch (and Adia) returning to Brighton for things like Christmas and future milestones like Molly graduating or getting married, and eventually settling back down after their adventures are over. If nothing else, I like to believe that Molly and Scratch would reunite EVENTUALLY. Whether it be when Scratch is still living his returned human life or if it was after he finally passes for real, they’re the dream team for all eternity. It may go counter to the message of what inspired the ending, but the ending here is left ambiguous enough I think we can all take the ending to mean whatever we want it to mean. And regardless of if my little headcanon is accurate or not, it doesn’t change the ending is absolutely a beautiful one for a show that snuck up on me as an all time favorite. Like, when I first heard about the show and saw the first episode, I was greatly entertained. I ADORE Dana Snyder as a voice actor, so his involvement alone was enough to hook me. And over these past couple years, I’ve loved every single episode- not a single one I would say was outright bad. It’s bittersweet it ended, but it brought me so much enhappification watching everything. Plenty of times I’ll just be looking for something to watch while eating dinner or the like and get the urge to put on an episode of The Ghost and Molly McGee. There’s also the fact I discovered your channel through this show, the Defense of Ollie Chen video. And I can’t help but feel like this is one of my favorite TH-cam channels I’ve ever found in terms of media reviewing, if not my absolute favorite. You always bring a smile to my face and any time I leave a comment, I feel heard and like my opinion is respected, even if we may not 100 percent agree on something. Just like I thank and adore the crew for all their hard work on this show, I want to thank you for all the content you put out. You do amazing work and I will stick by no matter what you cover. Who knows, maybe I’ll discover a new show to love through your content- I’d absolutely love to take another ride like this one. I have a lot of thoughts on varying levels of relevance and speculative vs definitive thoughts, if that wasn’t obvious. And while it’s sad The Ghost and Molly McGee is over, there’s still other shows I’m watching and enjoying that I can give as much love to as I have given Molly and Scratch. The End may have actually been the end, but it doesn’t change the fact the journey was an incredible one, and I’m more than happy with where this journey ended and other ones I follow will keep going to. Also, one last note for this extremely long and rambley comment- I had some tacos for lunch with this video. It just felt right.
Thank you for all the kind words! I feel like Scratch remembers things on a subconscious level but has no idea where it comes from, they’re just little quirks. I feel like it would be too hard for him to truly act like he doesn’t know them. And I literally start crying every time I watch the episode or even think about it.
@@SunnylandProds Absolutely a fair interpretation- if what I’m thinking isn’t “canon”, that’s what I think is the case. He remembers subconsciously, and it’s all in the mind, as it were. And yeah, I was feeling emotional just writing my comment, lol. You’re not alone there, dude.
Maybe Next Time really hit me where it hurts...growing up in a family that HATES the idea of taking even the smallest risk, I scarcely imagine all the missed opportunities my parents had to REALLY live. Of course to them, working on our farm in their golden years enough "excitement" they can handle. (On a different note; while it IS sad that Molly's time with Scratch has ended, this doesn't mean she's lost her connection with ghosts for good. Let's remember that GEOFF is still here and so are all the other Ghost Friends the McGees have made. In THAT regard, Molly McGee's finale went so much better than Star's)
This show has really helped me. Sometime in late 2021, I realized I wanted to have a stronger relationship with my siblings. Like Molly, I was afraid of us drifting apart as we got older. I especially wanted to be closer with my older brother, who loves Disney Channel cartoons and I thought a good connection point would be through that. I already had a couple DTVA shows in my backlog and when I asked him which I should watch next, he recommended, "The Ghost and Molly McGee". Nothing could have been more thematically perfect for me wanting to improve my relationship with him. Honestly, it took a while for me to get hooked on the show, but when it did, boy was I hooked. "Scratch the Surface / Friend-Off" was when it happened, that's when I realized this was great. Then immediately followed by "Festival of Lights", the best episode in the whole series. At the end of one pretty sad day, my brother came into my room to check on me. I told him that deep down I was scared about the uncertainty of the future. After cheering me up, he offered that the next day, we could watch "The Ghost and Molly McGee" together. And we did, after lunch the next day, spent a couple hours sharing our favorite episodes with each other. (His being "Scratch the Surface, and mine, at the time, "The Unhaunting of Brighton Video".) I asked him if we could watch the finale together, which we did and had a blast. It didn't hit me until the next day, when it sank in that "The End" was the end. I came close to crying during the finale, (unfortunately) so I spent that day letting my emotions out. I asked my brother if we could talk, where I let him know about watching the show to get closer with him and how crushed I felt when it ended. It really did feel like I was leaving friends behind. But most of all, I didn't want to leave each other behind. After airing my emotions, he said he appreciated having me as a brother. With that, I can confidently say, this show has changed me for the better and will always be special to me. Thanks to my brother for recommending it to me, the crew for bringing it to life and to you, Chandler, for deepening my love for this show with your videos. Keep enhappifying! 👻 💜
I love this show so much it means the world to me and despite me being sad that the series is officially over, I’m grateful that I got to experience this amazing show and I’ll never forget this show when I have kids I’ll tell em about it and put it on for them to watch and I’ll carry on the show’s legacy by enhappifying my friends family neighbors and everyone else around me and heck I’ve already added the words “sweet baby corn” and “enhappify” to my vocabulary
I am still very frustrated that we didn't get more of the show, but maybe you're right we shouldn't complain about what we don't have but be happy for what we had. Also I really loved the final message of living live at its fullness, I kinda think I needed it. Finally the live a little song it so cute, especially the one singed by scratch and molly
Even though I don’t really have faith in the show coming back, I still think the fandom should try. What they needed was a larger audience, so I think increasing viewership on Disney plus exponentially to the point where Disney HAS to notice is the only way. It’s hard and might not work at all but I still think it’s worth a shot
It’s hard with a fandom this small, and if we weren’t able to grow the show’s audience enough while the show’s airing, it’s a much, much steeper hill to climb. So instead of just launching another “my favorite show got cancelled and the network needs to bring it back” movement, we’re gonna do everything we can to keep the spirit of the show alive through spreading positivity, joy, and doing as much good as possible. I want to make people think: “wow, what about this goofy little show inspired these people to do *all of this*?”
@@SunnylandProds I’m not against that. I agree, I just think the fans should still at least try. I just think the show is too good to just end like this. It ended on a good note but there’s too much wasted potential.
I think The End solidifies my view that Season 2 is in no way a bad season despite what certain people said. I still stand that I like Season 1 more than Season 2 cause while I love Season 2, I do have several problems with it. But in the end, I'm glad that this show was a part of my life. And yeah I am still crying everytime I rewatch the finale or just think about it. Though the fact that Scratch called Molly "Moll" before he left in the bus does imply that he does remember her in some way. I'm gonna miss Molly, Scratch, Libby, Andrea, Darryl, Pete, Sharron, Geoff and Jeff. Even Ollie, even though I do have complaints about his character, I'm gonna miss him too. But I will not forget these characters or the show for that matter. While it has been confirmed that Molly, Scratch, Libby and the rest of the cast will return in the forms of the shorts like Broken Karaoke and Chibiverse, etc. I do wish we gotten more of the show but I understand it's impossible at least for now. Hopefully, that changes in the future. As for right now, I'm still goona watch the show again for the rest of my life just like I did with Phineas and Ferb, Kim Possible and Amphibia when they ended. (...okay Phineas and Ferb is coming back but you get my point.) I will also do what I can to spread joy and enhappify everyone I care about like my family and friends. It's what Molly would do. ^_^
Character design was not an issue for me when it comes to Ollie. My issue was that he was bland and uninteresting when season 2 started. He got better Frightmares on Main Street and beyond but it was still an issue I had with the character.
I miss this show and I really wish we got to see what they had planned for season 3, heck I'm currently making a short comic based on the Ollie being chairman arc they planned on doing using what they've said to help accept that I'll never officially see it, but as far as I'm concerned even if the show was unfairly cut short, I'm glad we still got it to begin with
Every time one of the shows I enjoy end, I'm usually sad for a while, but videos like these help me get over it faster because they always manage to highlight the amazing parts of the show and the positive impact it has on many people. Thank you for this video, it helps to know that fans really put love and care into supporting this show too :)
It's such a shame that the ghost and Molly McGee series is officially over. It ended too soon and I was really hoping that the season 2 finale wasn't the series finale. While the series finale was a heartfelt episode that was a great and sad way to end the series, it was open-ended enough that Molly would continue with her adventures, even without Scratch. How Scratch became a wraith is sad yet relatable, and seeing him return to his life as Todd and saying goodbye to Molly was such a sad yet heartfelt moment that will never be forgotten. While the ghost and Molly McGee series ended on a high note, there were still some problems with the series that I feel will never get a chance to be fixed, such as Andrea not being in season 2 as much as I would have liked, and the Chairman being essentially a wasted character that wasn't properly explained. The series even ended without telling us who would be the next Chairman. Ultimately, the ghost and Molly McGee was a good series worth watching, and I will miss it.
As a small content creator, I write and create piano tutorials for The Ghost and Molly McGee. But something that I can't help but brush off is that my channel is the only one that is making any piano tutorials that is NOT of the theme song. As I write this, there are no tutorials on TH-cam for songs that are actually from the show... The series legitimately brought me, and many others, out of a dark place. Disney still has their magic! I just wish Disney would get their act together, even when they have a fantastic series, they sabotage it with poor marketing. (we have seen this already with Elemental) I hope that I can bring awareness of the fantastic music Rob Cantor wrote for TGAMM through my tutorials :)
Oh, I LOVE that! Like I alluded to at the end of the video, we’re working on putting together a big charity stream with Bill and Bob and a whole bunch of other people to celebrate the show! Would you be interested in contributing?
I was talking with a friend about how many fan projects I’ve joined through this show and expressing a little bit of anxiety hoping that I don’t overwhelm myself by working on a map and 2 fan episodes while I also have to deal with school and probably a job or internship in the summer but she said “It also really seems to be lighting your fire :3” and that had me tearing up. Because that’s it that’s what this show has done for me. It’s lit a fire in me in a time where I’ve been wondering if anything I even do is worth it. It reminds me of the importance of community in a time where all off my friends are moving on to other things and I’m having trouble making new ones, those friendships where always important and they always will be. It reminded me that risks are what make life worth living and I will be forever grateful for that.
I am going to miss this show, but I am glad the crew were able to finish it off in a way and make it emotional, easily in my top 10 favorite shows of all time
I enjoyed these two episodes. I thought it was a bit of a cop out that Geoff scaring Ruben was an accident. And while I was a bit iffy on making Scratch a wraith, I think the show made it work.
18:21 I'm now not so sure about that anymore. Because reruns have left both the Disney Channel AND DisneyXD schedules indefinitely. I mean we'll probably reruns during holiday marathons with selective episodes like other programs. But as of now the ONLY way to watch the show now is on Disney + and with the recent purge on Paramount+, I'm afraid Disney could do a whole "follow the leader" kind of thing and do something FAR WORSE with this show. (And to be clear Disney HAS done purging on their streaming service before back in June 2023). I just hope it's still doing well on Disney +.
I am 98% satisfied by the finale. There is only one thing I am slightly bothered by. Everyone got a happy ending except for Andrea. The last time we saw her the Davenport store went bankrupt. Her fate is left ambiguous. I wish we got to see what her life was like after the store closed. Is she poor now, did her parents find new jobs, did they try to open a new store? I wish we got more closure on that.
Sammie said that her parents partnered with another business. Honestly, I’ll probably do a video before too long on what kind of stuff they could do if the series ever was able to get something else.
I'm gonna be honest, I did not think we'd ever actually find out who Scratch was, so I made up a partly satire theory that he was the ghost of Grunkle Stan from Gravity Falls and I'm mildly disappointed we got a canon answer instead, but it does check out. Also, we gotta figure out how to start protesting against Disney if it gets much worse, I'd say storm Disney World with pitchforks but it's not worth risking the safety of the kids in those parks. (Mainly joking here)
I thought about Chili’s quote when reading some comments about the finale on YT and I 100% agree with it. I loved the show and it taught me and everyone who watched it so much (hopefully)! Btw can’t wait for the neurodivergent representation vid :D
I will never forgive Disney for sabotaging the show. They got truly something special and they did absolutely nothing for it. I wish I could’ve done more for the show because it absolutely deserves all the praise it gets. All the friends I made along the way. I would like to thank everyone for made the show possible. I am going to miss this show a lot. And it’s going to be a long journey to recovery
Disney Channel barely renews any other show for another season or advertises them properly like they have with Bunk'd or Big City Greens or Raven's Home. At least, the latter two have better quality control all the way through. And they cancelled Bunk'd while its' writing has been getting better since season 4 as diehard fans claim but still, they broke their ridiculous decade long four season rule to keep the show going. And I can't help but think of all the shows they could've done this for: Good Luck Charlie, Andi Mack, Sydney to the Max, Stuck in the Middle. Funny thing is the latter three shows all ended when the main characters are still in middle school! And it made it bittersweet to see at least Booker grow from middle school to graduating high school because everyone else except Raven, obviously, left the show.
They tweeted that they had some really interesting ideas for a third season. Maybe they'll go the Amphibia route and make a movie with those ideas! I definitely need to see more of Molly, there's still a lot about her that never got explained!
This was a show that I am so thankful to exist. It enhappified my life in ways I can't explain. And even when I do cry at the show, it's a good kind of crying because I'm happy with what I'm watching. Thank you for making this video, Chandler. This is what I needed to say goodbye to the show even if this video made me cry myself. I'm super excited about your future Molly McGee videos and projects.
Your apparently right! We need to ask ourselves W.W.M.D? She would celebrate the time that we did have and the fact this amazing enhappifying show even existes is a win in my book! I’ll miss the show deeply. It has inspired me to become my own preson thanks to Andrea and not follow the crowds wants, it’s has inspired me to speak my voice and try thanks to a Libby, it’s inspired me to be empathetic to others and be okay not to be prefect because you don’t need to be to engoodify the world thanks to Ollie. And of course to enhappify everyone and everything around me thanks to Molly and Scratch. This show changed me and is now on the list of favorites among Gravity Falls, Amphibia and the Owl House. With is amazing worlds, settings, animation, art style, lovable characters, voice actors and all the way to writing is prefect. It’s a story about finding a way to do some good in the world and living. If you keep playing it safe you’ll miss the good things in life and your purpose. But when you take the leap and try and then live you can find friends, community, and your purpose! Yes life is going to throw things at you, keep living. When the voices say lies to you, trust God and keep living. When you are scared, take the risk and keep living. Keep living and change the world. It doesn’t have to be big but start small. Find what your passionate about. If you love to volunteer, helping a friend move in, help at your local church, making a video to raise money or spread disability awareness. Anything really and the possibilities are endless. Just ask yourself: What is God wanting to us me with my gifts to enhappify the world? You won’t understand right away and that’s okay. Again just do what make you happy and you’ll find that soon enough. Like a McGee go above and beyond and keep going. Just remember all you need to do is step out that door and live alittle. 😁 Thank you Bill and Bob for enhappifying us with this fantastic show when the world need it the most! Thank you. And thank you Chandler for the amazing videos you make. Your journey as a TH-camr has gone so far! I’m excited to see where this take you next. Thanks and have a great day! 😁😊
I started watching the show when I saw a TH-cam video talking about the Chairman, I thought he had a really cool design and I loved what little lore I knew about him. I watched the entirety of season one on Disney plus to try to learn more about him. While I was disappointed with the amount of lore we got for him I did have a new found appreciation for the show. I liked that they didn't focus to much on the lore. It was just a fun, enhappifying show that brighten up my day when ever I watched it. The Chairman will always be one of my favorite characters for bring me on to the show.
This is a great video dude, I completely understand why a lot of fans are upset the show is over; and believe me, ive only been a TGAMM fan for 7 months and i feel like the show is just beginning!! I feel like this show has taught me a lot of different things; and it really enhappifies a lot of people who watch it! We should appreciate this show exists, and how far its come since first premiering back in 2021. Not to mention how amazing your videos are, they have helped me understand a lot about different shows; and you were actually the person that made me interested into watching TGAMM in the first place, so i thank you a lot for that! ❤😁
great video as always!! on the inside i still feel really sad that we were not able to get a season 3-- and while that its such a shame im extremely thankful for the ending we got. Everything was wrapped together perfectly and I couldn't agree more that this show came out in a time that we really needed. (due to covid, etc) this video actually had me crying and hit me in the feels, but in the best way possible. When you were talking about how those young girls recognized your tgamm shirt that genuinely made me so happy.. its just so sweet to know that some younger audiences know this show and it brings them comfort and well-being. And when you had started talking about 'The End' ; there was no background music and that ending scene hits hard. Molly will always be my favorite protagonist, she knows how to keep her head up and looks out for her friends, family, and community. Everyone really. i am just so thankful of everything with this show. Thank you for making this video, I feel like that this is important to see :)
I do think that scratch haven’t really forgotten his afterlife because he did possess his body before he returned to the living. Also Molly didn’t forgot her memory when she turned into a ghost and back. I’d like to see the show to have a movie where scratch goes around the world with Adia but have flashbacks of his time as a ghost. When he comes back to Brighton he sees Molly; unpossess his body and hugs Molly as a ghost. The movie could be called “The Human and Molly McGee.”
The ghost and Molly McGee really changed me and even though the series is over we shouldn’t stop loving we should appreciate that we have something like this and this show is what we all needed but the ending is so sad I watched the episode and I was so heartbroken broken that scratch had to leave Molly because has lost many friends she went through heartbreak after heartbreak but remained super positive and happy and then she met a ghost who cursed her by accident turned into something beautiful and try we’re like bffs for life I really thought the show would never end but it did and Molly ended up losing another friend she cared about but she still remained positive and strong and I think we should all be like her and don’t kid this series is going to get revived or not but all we can hope is that Disney changes their mind but even if they don’t I’m still happy I got to experience this and this made so unbelievably happy and I’m happy it at least got a chance unlike other shows
this show was amazing I only watched it because disney plus recommended it to me and glad I did. This show needs more attention and the best way they could do it is Kingdom Hearts.
I'm heartbroken over this show never getting a third season after all. I wanted to see more of June in action. The show ended before it's entire destiny was ever fulfilled. Just because marketing didn't go well. That's not a reason to end something. Clearly the pukes at Disney don't care about what fans want. They only care about money. I've had it with that company. I'm officially done with Disney for pulling the plug. It's one thing that Amphibia ended on a high yet emotional note, but this is unacceptable. NO SERIOUSLY!!!! If you can't give fans what they want, DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This show will forever be with me… The day it was premiered on my birthday was the most remarkable moment of my life. I’ll forever love Bob Roth and Bill Motz and the crew for making this series to enhappified people like me. 🩵🥹
Ya know what woulda made the finale even greater imo? If they had a timeskip of like 70 years and showed Molly dying and joining back with scratch in the afterlife. That woulda wrapped the show up in a nice little bow imo
Honestly I got burned out by time skip endings thanks to Amphibia and The Owl House. I'm glad they left the fate of the characters open ended. It feels more satisfying IMO. Also I agree with Chandler. The time skip ending feels unnecessary.
@@knarrow0222 Well I feel like timeskip endings give the creators time to tie things up that normally would’ve been left unanswered. Yeah I know not EVERYTHING needs one but it’s still nice to see it
Fantastic video Chandler (but also how dare you nearly make me cry with those clips and that Wicked reference, lol). Wishing you all the best of luck on your Haunted Mansion special! ^v^ I'm also looking forward to more TGAMM vids (maybe a song ranking/tier list, a look at all the scrapped s3 eps - would've loved to see that one about the Jeoffs starting a BnB - or a vid about all the couples in TGAMM) I also wanted to say: the one complaint I had about JvsTHW (besides it being pretty rushed admittedly) was the Geoff reveal. I don't mind that it was him, but given that Geoff is canonically a talented scarer + the whole mandatory scares thing, I felt it was a bit lame for it to be just a misunderstanding. I feel like a better alternative would be Geoff admitting that he had to scare Ruben to avoid being put in the Flow, but then still taking responsibility and apologizing - and that genuine and kind nature being what starts to make Ruben question just how 'evil' ghosts are. As is though, I do like Geoff being friends with all the Chens now, he and Jeff absolutely become Ollie and June's ghost uncles/godfathers. ALSO also, given the Enhappify drop and him calling her "Moll", I feel like the show was heavily hinting at Scratch subconsciously remembering Molly, it just won't fully hit him until a) he gets a massive memory trigger like he did with the strawberry pop or b) he dies for real. Either way, I fully believe that these two are at the very least going to see each other again in the afterlife (since there doesn't seem to be a heaven/purgatory/reincarnation system in place that stops people from becoming ghosts) and they're either going to both remember everything or have the rest of eternity get to know each other/become BFFs all over again.
I just finished the Ghost and Molly McGee, and it really hit me. Thank you for making this video to help me sort out my thoughts after watching this amazing show
I really hope they can bring the show back. There were so many interesting ideas for season 3 and I’m upset. still a bit miffed that the ‘todd is scratch’ theory is true
This show can still get renewed for a Season 3. Scratch and Molly are no longer together; however, season 3 can be Geoff or a new ghost as the title of the show is "THE GHOST and Molly McGee" and not "SCRATCH and Molly McGee".
Sunnyland Productions, 18:21 well if it does help there is going to be a new Chibiverse episode titled " The Chibi Couple Game" that is expected to be released on February 14th. And they usually tend to include characters from shows that have ended. A good example of this is the Chibiverse episode "The Chibi Quiz Challenge" (which was released on 9/23/2023) feature Marcy Wu (Amphibia) in a prominent speaking role in spite of the fact the the show she was in having ended well over a year ago at that point. So... in terms of seeing TGAMM characters, that MIGHT be possible we'll just have to wait and see.
This show was amazing all around and honestly had no right to be this good... but darn it, I laughed, I cried... and in the end gave an emotional hug goodbye, through a smile of love. They hit this show out of the park, and gave it a meaningful ending that was so heartfelt and endearing... couldn't help but smile. Fun fact... the original Scooby-Doo only had 2 seasons as well... and look where we are now.
I love this show it is kind of telling us don’t give up on your dreams and goals because they can happen which is why I love this show and makes me hope my dreams and goal will come dream but the problem is that blunt people hold me back
Hmm, you know maybe like way before your special comes out, you could talk about the latest Haunted Mansion movie. Honestly, even though many people talked poorly of it, I actually saw the good in a sort of troubled story. Sure, the characters aren’t the best, but it’s the way they deal with grief and heartache, as well as use the Haunted Mansion references in the film with the different manors, and the massively underrated Hatbox ghost. I know you’re not a “ghost video channel” but since I’ve enjoyed your videos a lot on TGAMMG, I’d love to hear your opinion.
when dear old Bob I. Started his layoff rampage some part of each division that include personnel Manger, VP, ultra-rarely seen SVP, some annoying position of TVA () and good old (Interfering) branding was whittling away to few piece..
Ok, wut at 6:35, They use a specific rendition of the series main theme that they have used before. But it is also used in the S1 finale when molly destroys the flow of failed phantoms and destroys the chairman. So why did they use when molly escapes the cage??!! Like, disney, the chairman, the main villain of S1 being defeated is way more fitting for this track!
Sunnyland Productions, (please read until the end) since it's been a little over a month since TGAMM ended, I have an important question. In your honest opinion do you think TGAMM would stand the test of time? Like sure right now we’re still talking about it but how do you think this show would last in people’s minds a few years down the road? Do you think it would be like Gravity Falls where everyone still talks and remembers about it like it was just yesterday or would it fall into obscurity along the likes of many Disney shows which came before it (eg. The Replacements, Fish Hooks, Penn Zero)? The reason I asked this because the show no longer reruns airing on the main Disney Channel or even on Disney XD. Not to mention it hasn't been so much as referenced or mentioned on ANY official Disney social media platforms since its initial ending.
Oh, this show will absolutely stand the test of time. It’s gonna go down in history as one of the all-time greats. I’m gonna do everything I can to help make sure of that.
AFTER THE FREAKING ENDING I AM CRAPPING SCREAMING CRYING ROLLING ON THE DAM FLOOR FLOPPING LIKE A FISH OR A WORM BECAUSE OF THE ENDINGS FROM THEE THE BITTER SWEET ERA (ghost and molly McGee, amphibia, and owl house) I WILL SCREAM AT DISNEY FOR MAKING MOLLY MCGEE CANCELED AND ENDING THE SERIES EARLY
Sunnyland Productions, Now that you mentioned that, ( 1:55 - 2:03 ) there is something you probably might not have known. Allow me to give you some... pretty interesting trivia. You see, back in October 15th 2021, it was announced that TGAMM was going to have a book adaptation of Season 1's "First Day Frights!" There would have been both a physical paperback version (which would have included a collectible poster) and a digital version to purchase online. It was supposed to be released on July 5, 2022. Sadly however, that never came to be as on June 19th 2022, it was announced that the book was CANCELED ( the physical version at least as the digital version is still available for purchase on stores like Barnes and Noble or Amazon). At the time, the reasons of the cancelation of the book were unknown but considering the information you just provided at ( 1:55 - 2:03 ) that probably MIGHT have been the reason. In hindsight, we probably should have seen that book's cancelation as a red flag.
I watched this show after watching your nuerodivergent representation video, so you are succeeding in your goal of bringing people into the fandom. I finished the last episode and man that hit hard
13:21 On the contrary, he doesn't remember anything yet. If you noticed the last words he said to Molly before he left you would have realized that the life he had as a ghost is starting to surface as he lives as a human again. He is starting to remember. It is slow, it will take some time but Scratch will remember eventually. It is only a matter of time. How else did he know the words Sweet Baby Corn, Enhappifying, and Molls? He will be back. But we may not see it.
@@SunnylandProdsWell I want to tell you something. You didn't failed. You tried. You did your best. And that is what anyone could have ever asked you to do. As far as anyone, even me is concerned, you didn't failed. You did this on your terms. Therefore you won. Don't forget that.
I am interested to know how you feel about final episodes of every show and who ended the best also how would you have added to or continued the shows that have ended? I thought of some season 3s 1. Molly caries the show Solo 2. add new ghost friend 3. Find a way to have Scratch return 4. Scratch dies 5. Tood has a child named Molly 6, Time skip and catch up with every one Haunted mansion story fits. The chibis did use it every now and then Also for this, for Owl House, For Amphibia, for Duck Tales and Dark Wing I feel like all the old shows can come back. If you consider Kim Possible, Duck Tales, Adventure Time, Ghostbusters , She-Ra, He-Man, Avatar TLA, MLP, etc things come back. in one way or an other. we could see these again. a video on what a reboot might be like could be fun too.
The Ghost and Molly McGee was never my favorite Disney TV show, it's in the top 4 just not my favorite, and it would have been nice if it had gotten a third season (especially since some characters didn't get enough screen time in my opinion). But I loved the ending, it gave a message that needs to be known, that just because everything doesn't work out the best for everyone, it still can be a good thing. I'll miss this show and definitely be checking out any fan projects/stories
I have hope that shows like The Owl House, Amphibia and The Ghost & Molly McGee will come back someday. It’s this former executive named Gary Marsh who is responsible for getting The Owl House and The Ghost & Molly McGee cancelled.
@@SunnylandProds he’s not an executive anymore. He’s replaced by Ayo Davis. She supports LGBT content. I’m going to be honest, I’m very worried about the future of Disney Animation since these three popular shows are now over.
8:00 I ship them. And it looked like it was confirmed at the end that Darryl has a small crush on June which I found super cute Also maybe I'll make a TGAMM AMV on my channel with "What the world needs now." I've started posting AMVs on my channel recently, they're so much fun to make. I've made one about the owl house, arcane, and my most recent one, Amphibia Edit: Okay I just listened to the song and…yeah I don’t know, I think maybe I’ll try to find another one
I had a feeling the show was randomly cancelled -.-" Andrea deserved more 10:11 It felt like a red herring tbh lol, esp since I don't recall the whole Wraith Memory LossTM being a thing, so it's like, "No that's DEconfirmation, Scratch would recognize himself" without that Something you didn't seemta mention is that Scratch was hiding his memories so that he could leave and go live life for a bit without having a sappy goodbye or something, suggested by the fact that he says "Moll" which is not just Molly's name, but the nickname that he specifically gave to her. That or he only partially remembers and it's a Grunkle Stan situation.
So the second thing I said? Definitely makes sense since I don't actually have a concrete answer to why he'd hide it, though it's weird how chipper he was with "strangers" lol@@SunnylandProds
This show was beautiful! Admittedly I only found this shis because the voice of Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.voices Scratch! 😂😂😂 this show is beautifully underrated!
Sucks how Andrea never found out about Scratch. Seriously, they had Ollie and June find out (which they're Ghost Hunters/former Ghost Hunters), but Andrea? They could've at least had her find out during the fight with Jinx. Sure, that would've been way too late in the game, but still.
I honestly don’t know why everyone is so obsessed with Andrea finding out about Scratch. I think Molly needs at least one friend who doesn’t know about Scratch.
The Ghost and Molly McGee will be another of my favorite Disney animated shows alongside Phineas and Ferb and Big City Green. I enjoyed the wholesome moments between Molly, Scratch and others such as Libby, Andrea, Ollie and Geoff. It was a blast to watch. Ghost and Molly McGee is kinda like Phineas and Ferb and Big City Greens to some extent because all three involved an episodic storyline overall and all three are popular in some ways except sadly, Ghost and Molly McGee was shafted due to lack of marketing and scheduling structure. Therefore, Ghost and Molly McGee is basically Phineas and Ferb and Big City Greens but gone wrong due to being shafted by Disney.
@@SunnylandProds is this to bring back the show cause if it is count me in
It’s CLEAR the show ended early. I mean just look at poor Andria. She never even learned about scratch…
Imagine if they make a season 3 and just retcon the ending like phineas and ferb
@@jakebrinks2978 yeah. Or they could say S3 takes place before the ending aka a Midquel. Or remake S2’s ending to reflect anything that happens in S3/make the full ending they wanted.
@RYANMENARD-lu8qq I feel like she’d respect Scratch’s privacy once it was explained.
@RYANMENARD-lu8qq
He's a ghost so she couldn't record him anyway.
""I don't want to be angry or bitter that the show has been sadly cut short, I want to celebrate the show that we got."
As much as I am saddened at the waste of Andrea's character, I'm also on the same boat.
Same I did feel similar but for the sake of Molly. I don't want to.
You know what detail I noticed about Ollie’s wraith form.
It’s the exact color you get if you combine Molly and June’s wraith form colors.
Which shows how Ollie has the high amount of joy like Molly but also has a more laidback and relaxed personality like June.
I love that so much now that you brought it up
@@DiamondDrizzle I’m just noticing all these little details well you’re welcome.
Despite the fact that The Ghost And Molly McGee didn’t get a 3rd season, but I’m happy that the show still managed to finish it’s story and have a happy ending like Ducktales 2017 and The Owl House instead of ending on a cliffhanger like Wonder Over Yonder.
In the immortal of Dr. Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
I felt the same as a half German, half Puerto Rican. That episode was one of my favorites.
I really wished the show utilized Ollie and Molly’s relationship more
and by that I mean the fact that they’re dating now
There’s so much stories taht could be done with the “two teens trying to date but are lowkey clueless” kinda idea like what they did with Lumity in owl house
Yea, I love to see them ship continues
Same here. I wanted to see them go on a date.
It is possible that disney already considering bringing the show seeing how the fan base for the show grew after the series finale.
Honestly like the creators said im glad that the show had two seasons. It even wrapped a few plot threads. Im gonna miss this show.
@@SunnylandProds I really love this idea btw. If a fandom's gonna live on, we might as well do something with it instead of just spinning our wheels
@@SunnylandProds I’m not against that. I agree, I just think the fans should still at least try. I just think the show is too good to just end like this. It ended on a good note but there’s too much wasted potential.
True. At least this show wrapped up with a proper ending, unlike shows that ended in a cliffhanger like tron uprising and rc9gn.
@@andrewsung3965 what's Rc9gn?
Don’t worry, it clearly ended early. But that’s why we have fanfics 😊
(...okay Phineas and Ferb is coming back but you get my point.)
I will also do what I can to spread joy and enhappify everyone I care about like my family and friends. It's what Molly would do. ^_^
i had problems with ollie too, a lot of him was bad, but his design was good in human form, but as a ghost, he looked terrible
Character design was not an issue for me when it comes to Ollie.
My issue was that he was bland and uninteresting when season 2 started. He got better Frightmares on Main Street and beyond but it was still an issue I had with the character.
It might be a stretch, but maybe his memories will come back after he dies for real.
(we have seen this already with Elemental)
I hope that I can bring awareness of the fantastic music Rob Cantor wrote for TGAMM through my tutorials :)
Oh, I LOVE that!
Like I alluded to at the end of the video, we’re working on putting together a big charity stream with Bill and Bob and a whole bunch of other people to celebrate the show! Would you be interested in contributing?
@@SunnylandProds I would love to! (assuming availability permits)
Scratch in Home is where the Haunt is: I'm not going anywhere 🤗
The season 2 finale: Imma ruin this ghost's whole career!
Fair point.
Theme song: “We’re never gonna be apart”
Fanbase: “YOU LIED”
I am going to miss this show, but I am glad the crew were able to finish it off in a way and make it emotional, easily in my top 10 favorite shows of all time
he was alive all along feels like a real cop out.
I enjoyed these two episodes.
I thought it was a bit of a cop out that Geoff scaring Ruben was an accident.
And while I was a bit iffy on making Scratch a wraith, I think the show made it work.
This show man! This show will forever exist in my heart.
I love how these shows end but still make us think there more that could be done, and I know it’s sad but what you think could happen next is awesome
You are right we need to keep on loveing the ghost and molly McGee no matter what!!
a show may end but fanart is forever.
I'm so glad I got to experience this show and this channel :)
Thank you!
They tweeted that they had some really interesting ideas for a third season. Maybe they'll go the Amphibia route and make a movie with those ideas! I definitely need to see more of Molly, there's still a lot about her that never got explained!
Is an Amphibia movie actually happening?
@SunnylandProds Oh...no, sorry. I thought it was, but apparently that was just a prank.
16:27 mentioning how the show was sabetoged by scatterbrain schedules, that is what disney is now since the start of 2010 or 2015.
Thank you Bill and Bob for enhappifying us with this fantastic show when the world need it the most!
(due to covid, etc)
this video actually had me crying and hit me in the feels, but in the best way possible.
Gahhh I'm so frustrated this show it over but I'm so happy with what we got!! Awesome video Chandler💙💙
See I told you they didn’t get to have the ending they wanted! But at least they managed to give a good ending with the single episode they had….
They did get to have the ending they wanted, but they wanted to do a whole third season.
No you're wrong. They did tell the ending they wanted. Bil and Bob confirmed this. It's a third season that they never got.
Really? His tweet said explicitly they couldn’t give the show the ending they wanted. Maybe what we got was a condensed version of it or something?
@@awesomeocelot7475 No Bill did say that The End was how they wanted to end the show.
@@knarrow0222 then why is there 2 conflicting messages from creators then?
I do think that scratch haven’t really forgotten his afterlife because he did possess his body before he returned to the living. Also Molly didn’t forgot her memory when she turned into a ghost and back. I’d like to see the show to have a movie where scratch goes around the world with Adia but have flashbacks of his time as a ghost. When he comes back to Brighton he sees Molly; unpossess his body and hugs Molly as a ghost. The movie could be called “The Human and Molly McGee.”
I support this. Who else?
This episode hit me so personal I was not expecting this. Thank you for making Molly McGee videos I would have never watched it with out them.
This show will forever be with me… The day it was premiered on my birthday was the most remarkable moment of my life. I’ll forever love Bob Roth and Bill Motz and the crew for making this series to enhappified people like me. 🩵🥹
It’s crazy how shows like this get cancelled and shows like SpongeBob get to continue.
Ya know what woulda made the finale even greater imo? If they had a timeskip of like 70 years and showed Molly dying and joining back with scratch in the afterlife. That woulda wrapped the show up in a nice little bow imo
I don’t know if that would’ve been necessary…
@@SunnylandProds It probably wouldn’t have been. But it would’ve been nice to see imo
^v^ I'm also looking forward to more TGAMM vids (maybe a song ranking/tier list, a look at all the scrapped s3 eps - would've loved to see that one about the Jeoffs starting a BnB - or a vid about all the couples in TGAMM)
I also wanted to say: the one complaint I had about JvsTHW (besides it being pretty rushed admittedly) was the Geoff reveal.
Thank you for making this video to help me sort out my thoughts after watching this amazing show
17:14 And keep in mind, Chilli says this profound thing while holding up Bluey’s half asleep sister while she’s doing a wee 😌
I KNOW. God, Bluey is perfect.
It’s sad how the show ended early as there’s so many things and relationships they’ve explored…like Jeff is in only like 5 episodes total in the show…
And we saw basically nothing of the Bizmart CEO, despite his menacing intro.
@@kevinlee7678 yeah!
My goal in life is _already_ to make as much of a positive change as possible. Honoring TGAMM is the icing on the cake!
Exactly! I mean, a massive part of why I love this show so much to begin with is because of how strongly I identify with Molly.
this is one of the most bittersweet endings of a show I’ve seen in a while, emphasis on bitter, I actually felt like crying
I really hope they can bring the show back. There were so many interesting ideas for season 3 and I’m upset.
still a bit miffed that the ‘todd is scratch’ theory is true
That's actually how I've been dealing with the show ending is What Would Molly Do.
This show can still get renewed for a Season 3. Scratch and Molly are no longer together; however, season 3 can be Geoff or a new ghost as the title of the show is "THE GHOST and Molly McGee" and not "SCRATCH and Molly McGee".
In theory, yes, but it’s not the same show without Scratch.
I soon as I finished the end I rewatched Johnathan’s video. I was really not into the theory until the trailer for the finale dropped
Oh, there’s no way Molly and Ollie aren’t in that.
@@SunnylandProdswell, let's not jinx that (no pun intended)
@@SunnylandProds SPOILERS FOR CHIBIVERSE:
Well they DID appear... as literal blink-and-you'll-miss-it cameos at the very beginning and end.
It’s not a long ride, but it’s definitely a great one while it lasts!
when dear old Bob I.
Wonderful review.
You’ve posted this same comment like 5 times.
@@SunnylandProdsOops! I'm so sorry... You never left a replied and I just thought you never saw it. I didn't mean any trouble.
Have you seen J Wingfield’s fan-made custom trailer for the show? That’s how they should be marketing the show.

13:31 I love that playlist
Really hoping the Phineas and Ferb revival gets better treatment.
I've heard it said
That people come into our lives
For a reason
I watched this show after watching your nuerodivergent representation video, so you are succeeding in your goal of bringing people into the fandom. I finished the last episode and man that hit hard
I’m so glad to hear that!
I think all of that is subconscious.
@@SunnylandProds We all believe what we want to believe. But I think we can agree on one thing.
@@SunnylandProdsWell I want to tell you something. You didn't failed. You tried. You did your best. And that is what anyone could have ever asked you to do. As far as anyone, even me is concerned, you didn't failed. You did this on your terms. Therefore you won. Don't forget that.
A show that doesn't renew for more seasons must not end on a cliffhanger
This series was pretty good and what you said is well through out , Bro .
Your thoughts on the Other Series Shows “Hamster and Gretel” and “Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur” ?
And don't forget "Hailey's On It!"
I am interested to know how you feel about final episodes of every show and who ended the best
also how would you have added to or continued the shows that have ended?
I thought of some season 3s
1. Molly caries the show Solo
2. add new ghost friend
3. Find a way to have Scratch return
4. Scratch dies
5. Tood has a child named Molly
6, Time skip and catch up with every one
Haunted mansion story fits. The chibis did use it every now and then
Also for this, for Owl House, For Amphibia, for Duck Tales and Dark Wing I feel like all the old shows can come back.
Didn’t Gary retire?
@@SunnylandProds he’s not an executive anymore. He’s replaced by Ayo Davis. She supports LGBT content. I’m going to be honest, I’m very worried about the future of Disney Animation since these three popular shows are now over.
8:00
I ship them. And it looked like it was confirmed at the end that Darryl has a small crush on June which I found super cute
Also maybe I'll make a TGAMM AMV on my channel with "What the world needs now." I've started posting AMVs on my channel recently, they're so much fun to make. I've made one about the owl house, arcane, and my most recent one, Amphibia
Edit: Okay I just listened to the song and…yeah I don’t know, I think maybe I’ll try to find another one
Yeah, I think Darryl’s got a little crush on June. Aww.
I think companies are expecting the animators to pay for the marketing budget.
I had a feeling the show was randomly cancelled -.-" Andrea deserved more
10:11 It felt like a red herring tbh lol, esp since I don't recall the whole Wraith Memory LossTM being a thing, so it's like, "No that's DEconfirmation, Scratch would recognize himself" without that
Something you didn't seemta mention is that Scratch was hiding his memories so that he could leave and go live life for a bit without having a sappy goodbye or something, suggested by the fact that he says "Moll" which is not just Molly's name, but the nickname that he specifically gave to her. That or he only partially remembers and it's a Grunkle Stan situation.
I think ‘Moll’ was subconscious, the intention seems to be that Todd legitimately doesn’t remember anything.
So the second thing I said?
Definitely makes sense since I don't actually have a concrete answer to why he'd hide it, though it's weird how chipper he was with "strangers" lol@@SunnylandProds
There’s an unpopular theory that might be controversial that I just thought up: what if “The End” was just a dream from Molly’s perspective?
That would be cool if the show just continues with Molly waking up
EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH CRAIG OF THE CREEK TOO LIKE THIS SHOW TGAMM AND COTC ARE AMAZING!!!!
Yeah, COTC is on my list!
The ghost and Molly McGee haunted mansion what is that and why am I not in it
This show was beautiful!
Molly Mcgee's friend belongs to what he is
The Ghost and Molly McGee will be another of my favorite Disney animated shows alongside Phineas and Ferb and Big City Green.
