Spoilers for Sonic Movie 3: HELL YEAH, LIVE & LEARN!! Ever since I heard this in the movie, this became one of my favourite vocal Sonic songs. Hearing a vocaloid cover makes it even amazing as well!
now look, this might be seen in a good light in most situations, but I wanna just say that Crush 40 on this song is an absolutely amazing performance, and I honestly believe that the fact that a fan project like this is quite nice to see. but with those words out of the way I honestly think that this is not it fam, the vocals don't seem to match the instrumental much at all (feel like it should be remixed) and Teto's voice in this doesn't sound too enthusiastic or more like she doesn't have her heart in it which weighs it down in my opinion. Honestly overall I think a do over would do this song some justice, re do the instruments, make Teto seem like her heart is in it more, give it a soul and It might sound nice and pull a more favorable audience, but that's just my word, I'm just a dude that listens to music, not one that makes it. (sorry if it's much)
Imo, the layered vocal synths are just the main thing missing, mkaing it feel slightly more shallow than the og which does have them, but otherwise I think the regular vocals are about as good as ya can expect. Plus, the best potential would just be a miku teto duet anyway, so I’ll just wait and see if anyone ever does that anyhow.
Imo this thing was just missing the vocal synths, yknow like, layers of the vocals over each other where they are in the original song, in the prechorus, and when they say live and learn, that i mean. So, that did dampen it a bit, but what is done is still well done. Plus, maybe thatd just be better suited for a teto and miku duet altogether.
