Ahhhh Kiwi is the best! Maybe we woke her from a nap and so she was still kinda groggy XD That definitely looks like me trying to do anything when I first wake up xD
As a person who owns wolf spiders I can definitely say they're eyesight is to not be underestimated, your wolf spider demonstrated that amazing ability to hunt! Would love to see them more often! And from the looks of your wolf spider, if all goes well you should have them for another year or so!
Jumping spiders are super cute. I've seen a clip with someone teaching his jumper to "high five" against his fingertip. Too bad they only live about a year, and males even less. X( Alex from Tarantula Haven used to have some, but not anymore. He said in one of his clips how heartbreaking it is when they die and that was the reason for him to no longer keep them.
@@goldiemum3991 not true at all...not sure what sort of keeping conditions those jumpers were in for Tarantula Haven...but I've kept many jumping spiders and am in several enthusiast and breeder groups on facebook... Full life span of many large jumping spider species are 2 1/2 - 3 years for females. It takes over a year just for them to reach full maturity...
KIWIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!! Finally see you again, it’s been so long that I thought maybe kiwi had died since jumping spiders don’t live very long. Although the way kiwi was hunting might be a sign of getting old and closer to the end :( hope kiwi stays around for a good while longer
Kiwi is the Cutest! That was the most adorable jumping spider feeding that I've ever seen!! (And I'm not biased and only saying this because I keep jumping spiders🤪)
Interestingly, I am more excited for non-tarantula feeding videos than tarantula feeding videos. And wouldn't mind to see them more often. :D Oh, and also, the reason the Lycosa singoriensis doesn't use its hide and usually wanders around is that it is a mature male, in search of a female.
Sweet. That was a cool feeding time. Kiwi and the wolf spider are definitely my favourite true spiders in the Den, soo cute. And the Harry Potter enclosure is the best enclosure, at least as long as the crabs' enclosure is still empty.
Man, Linda is damn fast and a real beauty (like all other in the dark den) :) i slowed the vid down to to the max and she still was jumping out like a rocket ;) i like it and keep on going create such great content/videos :) greetings from northern germany
I just found your channel and I love this so much. I was always so freaked out by spiders and kiwi changed everything. Also, the way you are with every one of them and your personality is addicting. Thank you :)
Thank you, so much for putting these videos out there for us. I enjoy them so much and my fear of spiders has become such a huge fascination for these wonderful arachnids by watching videos like yours. Thanks again and keep doing what you do!
After every fcked up day when I lay to take a look on ur vdoes i can easily get chilled out... Nice to see you how truly enjoying to care about those sweeties. I just want to let you know that how useful could your stuff be, so just keep forward Petkoooo
Petko, i will take this in English instead of serbian. You have helped me alot with my arachnophobia. Before, i could not watch pictures or movies or documentaries with spiders, because of my phobia. Before i used to kill them when i saw one at home( i know, im horrible but i could not help it) But when i started to watch you, i was not affraid to watch your friends ( cause they are) and after that i started to watch exotic lair. I cant hold one, still afraid, but i catch them ( home ) and set them free now instead of killing. And i think it’s because of your personality that made me less scared ( still cant hold one) but i can watch movies, pics and youtube clips of spiders, and i think it’s all thanks to you. So hvala puno Petko, hvala mnogo. Thanks for helping me, hope one day i can hold one and get rid of my arachnophobia, but at least im not that scared of them any more. P.s i would consider getting a little kiwi of my own ,that dont scare me so much, just addorable
It might not be fruit flies. It could be something known as fungus gnats. They are a similar size and look to fruit flies. They lay there eggs in soil. They could be inhabiting felix's plant pots. To combat the flies you can either buy a special type of oil that is added to the substrate and kills off the eggs orrrr you can cover the soil with peddles and rocks
I'd love to see slow mo replay of every 1 second takedown. There is so much action happening in that second which our eyes can't even process. Cool video
Aww man i hate being in different time zones, i need to sleep but as soon as i saw the notification, as a simple man, i see dark den, i click 😫🔥🔥 love your channel broo
Hey Petko, we need to see that take down at 10:05 in Slow Mo! That spider came out of no where. It apperated like a freakin' wizard. And your Wolf spider is stunning. Here in the U.S. I've only seen the typical drab brown color. Your looks frosty like a winter plumage. Or maybe it's just an old man LOL;)
The one that jumped out from under that sand scared da hell outta me. But then I thought🤔 about it. That's how I come out when someone is bugging me. 🤣🤣 I'm eating🤣🤣
Hi my friend :) Use a shallow dish of apple cider vinegar with some dots of washing up liquid and it will get all those suckers!! I have that problem with guinea pig veggies 😅 fruit fliesss are a painnn
I started watching your channel because I was (and still am) afraid of spiders. Now I find myself thinking Kiwi is cute and that ”Harry Potter-spider” is cool. 🤔 Progress 😄
About your 'fruit flies'. That could be Sciarid gnats, living in your plants. If that the case they should be around the pots a lot and I'd recommend yellow glue traps to catch the flies. Hope i could help you out.
You can get rid of those fruit flies with some red wine vinegar in a cup some plastic wrap on top of the cup wrap a rubber band around the cup to hold the plastic wrap down and make small holes in the plastic wrap also if your holes are to big they'll fly out if they're to small they can't fly in also beautiful spiders
Your wolf spider has a beautiful Southwestern pattern on its body. Like it should be in Texas or New Mexico. A very pretty spider but terrifying none the less. Have you watched the videos of the gentleman that helps the wolf spiders get unstuck from whatever it is wrapped around their feet? It is so sweet to see him interacting with something that's terrifying to look at but on the other hand it stands there and let him take the tape off of its feet. It's very heartwarming. If you haven't seen it you should check it out.
Sand Spiders are the ninjas of the arachnid world. First you don't see them, then they come out of nowhere ! Awesome feeding clips. Stay safe and thanks for sharing :)
For the fruit flies: mix some apple juice with vinegar and a bit dish washing soap. Put that in little glases or open cups, place them in different spots and see them drown. You can mix the vinegar with some sougar if you don't have juice, it works the same. Maybe you can locate the source like that too.
I recently got my first tarantula and fed her once. But the super worms will burrow but now that I watched the video I figured out I can just bait him out. Thank you.
wolf and huntsmen are some of my favourites, there native here, there arborual and dont burrow so you will do better with lots of branches and leaf litter in there enclosure so they can climb.
the fruit flies might be fungus gnats which a problem I've dealt with in the past, once they start growing in numbers they will take over a lot of your enclosures with moist substrate and are hard to deal with, you should find the source of them (usually anything containing moist soil) and let the substrate in that container completely dry out for a week or two so the larvae will die off
One day you will be fishing for Linda and when you jump back she will be on your shoulder whispering in your ear “So where is this roach you speak of?” 😂 - so fast, liked greased lightning ⚡️
Take a small dish or two, small but not too shallow. Pour a small amount of cider vinegar into the dish, then cover the dish with saran wrap. Poke some small holes, big enough for a fruit fly to get through, into the saran wrap and sit the dish near wear the most flies are. They love cider vinegar, and if you make the dish right, they can get in but they can't get out. You can catch dozens of them in a small dish.
I found out literally yesterday that huntsman spiders can be imported into the US, I never would have thought! Also that wolf spider is so beautiful and I love the themed enclosure!
Jumping spiders are the only kind of spider that doesn't terrify the hell out of me. They are just completely different than everything else. They have an intelligence you can see and almost an inquisitive/curious personality and are so docile and cute.
Get a glass put some cider vinegar, washing up liquid and water in it. Put some clingfilm over it tightly and put some holes in it. Will catch the fruit flies.
Dude you gotta show all the sand spiders! We don’t care if they’re the same species we just want take downs, and the sand ladies are my favorites.
I agree. We love to see all spider feedings.
I love how that one just appeared out of nowhere. It actually jump scared me.
Agreed
Agree! Such a curious specie!
Yea you dont wabt to be that roach

I'm actually really interested in getting jumping spiders lol they are all just adorable, especially with males doing their dances.
you should get one, i have a few myself and i am so glad i got them. they’re so cute n curious
I prefer females since they’re bigger and they live longer
🤣🤣 happy dance... juju on dat beat type dance

Yep she startled me when she jumped out

Gorgeous Wolf spider, Petko! that beast has grown well! love your videos so much

Ahhhh man we needed to see Kiwi flips in slow motion!! 😂
In the huntsmen enclosure put the car in the "tree"
And get more micro shots
Absolutely agree
RIP Kiwi. This was a nice take down you did well. Her last meal :')
I hate to say it, but as a jumping spider keeper, i think Kiwi is reaching the end of her life. Showing signs of losing her grip is a big sign.
Thank you, so much for putting these videos out there for us. I enjoy them so much and my fear of spiders has become such a huge fascination for these wonderful arachnids by watching videos like yours. Thanks again and keep doing what you do!

The fruit flys will attract to the empty drinks u have on your shelf if there’s left over soda in it!
This video is so cool! Thanks so much for making this!!
The little guys give me the nonsensical creepy crawlies lmfao
Why did you skip the other sicarius :(( they are awesome! Would love to see all of them feast next time! :D
And the huntsman spiders too!
Because Caito Sicarius is currently in the warp lol

Kiwis is the absolute cutest. I want a jumper so baddd
Kiwi is still the cutest spider of the Dark Den. Thinking about getting a jumping spider myself!
P.s. Shout out from Italy🤙
"DESPOSITO!" *desposito glances* Petko: "hahahaha" this is so inexplicably funny and I cant stop watching this one scene
I love watching active hunting spiders like Wolf spiders, Huntsmans, and jumping spiders! They have great eye sight and are adorable!
This video had so many good shots! Kiwi and the wolfspider were my favorite by far hahah, they have so much personality in them.

Hi my friend :)
Use a shallow dish of apple cider vinegar with some dots of washing up liquid and it will get all those suckers!!

I use fruit wine (like Pereg wine but cheaper) and a few drops of dishwater liquid. Very efficient in shallow dish.
Yeah, applecider vinegar and a drop of dish soap is really effective against fruitflies!
