What should we EAT for the next episode of Neighbourhood Gems? 🤭
Chicken rice
should have covered Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant
hokkien mee!!
Chwee kuehs
Perhaps you all can try one halal version too? Amongst the stalls u try for dumplings for example, can give us an idea how much different is halal version VS non-halal version. That would be interesting to watch!❤
Wow! The chemistry between these two is spot on! The contrast in mandarin level provided an extra layer of entertainment!
The food looks so flavourful, keep on uploading more interesting videos. 😊 I love dim sum too. 💜
i'm won over when Yookyung one-mouths some of the dim sums. Serious eater! 😂
Definitely love 一点心, have been eating it for years! And I love their red bean banana pancake ❤
my husband and I generally judge a Dim Sum restaurant by their "Chicken Feet"....Mind you I'm Eastern European and my husband is Hainanese.......Australia...Thank you ladies.
Har Gar , Char Siew Bun , Siew Mia go to mongkok dimsum @ chinatown market. Be prepared to queue 90mins but it will beat all those that you have eaten. price wise it is the best too
Y’all need to check out the dim sum place at TPY Lorong 8 Blk 1’s coffee shop!!!!! It’s sooooooo good - the owner was a chef from a hotel before he started his own business 😌😌
Any shop name?
Only the last one is actually budget
I mean all of them are, compared to high end restaurants eg;paradise dynasty,Crystal Jade etc.
gotta try Fu Kee Traditional Handmade Pau & Dim Sum 福记传统手工包 at Woodlands!!!! da bao is damn good....
Yookyung eating the fried prawn dumpling by stabbing it with chopsticks is sucha m000d
Must try this hidden gem - Bao Fa Dim Sum at Pasir Ris Central Hawker Centre
Omg block 151 you guys should go there to try the Thai wanton mee 😮they close around 2pm
Whatttt - Swee Choon has slipped? I loved that place when I lived in Singapore. Dim Sum at whatever time (almost) was amazing. I am a massive XLB fan - also pot stickers. God damn I want Dim Sum now!! Sadly Glasgow not same as SG for dim sum lol
i remember john and someone tried the first stall before years ago
Very interesting!
Go to Yum Cha, it is located at the east, there dim sum very good
Chiara’s hair 😍
So far still like Paradise Dynasty XLB the most … for taste, texture and variety
West can try Fu Yuan Handmade Dim Sum.
Swee Choon indeed dropping in standard and price is high
Wah the Yishun one idk it was so near
remove skin for pau, as quoted from a website:
" I was once told how these folks used to spit-spray a cup of light sulphur water, with their mouths, onto a tray of just made paus just so it comes out clean and white after steaming."
When you say Budget, How much paid for the food? SGD30? SGD50?
I miss chiara!!! Woohooo
Wow I stay in Yishun but idk that this exists….maybe cuz I live nearer to seletar
yall missing out on the spring rolls from the amk one :')
Yookyung and her Chiara unnie
I am feeling hungry right here from india😭😂 I want dimsums rn😅
I'm surprised they didn't order 鳳爪
0:54 lol, swee choon has never been good, i stay 3mins walk away, it used to be a very average stall that is just 1 small unit, until the sons took over, they change the operating hours into the first supper dim sum in sg, then boom, their popularity exploded and slowly took over the whole row of shop houses
can yall do dim sum in jb plssss
thx for reviewing the woodlands 1.50 shop ive eaten that for yrs!!!
swolid eh its my go to tbh.. for 1.5 (used to be 1.3 sad) its honestly not bad for a quick bite or craving
@akiokoh7481 ya ikr thats so sad it's so comforting and yumz ... the inflation tho... thankfully it's only 20 cents so it's still affordable
@@akiokoh7481plus it's near schools too (the distance not too far) so everyone can enjoy it even the students who wants affordable lunch
9:31 like cute
Bao Fa Dim sum in the east
Chiara hasnt tried a good XLB? Does DTF serve burgers and fries? 🤣
from budget neighbourhood dim sum spots la
The old folks will always tell us to peel the skin because in the olden days, the pao makers will spray water with their mouths to keep it moist
I will peel the skin off the bao. It has been a habit from my father. Hygiene factor.
In this modern day and age (roughly 20+ years ago), the whole bao is definitely safe to eat sans base paper especially for factory-made ones 😊
tried woodlands dim sum express, honestly the quality not very nice.
Chiara 🤩
2:44 Aishi...bal?
Dim Sum Wen Dao Shi 😊
Okay just to point out they are being quite unprofessional by visiting stall when they are mostly running out of their better dim sum, this is particular for twin star. You may visit their google map review, I had tried most of their dim sum and top 3 for me would be
1) HK style chang feng
2) custard bun (3 for 3.60 is a steal)
3) Mushroom Dumpling
Other recommendation hot sour dumpling, porridge (best porridge there now fried porridge have moved), taro fried dumpling, glutinous rice.
Siew mai and friends are actually not bad but I feel is a bit steep if you looking for budget dim sum.
how funny is the singapore accent
126.. geylang.
Nothing from west
dim sum haus! not really neighbourhood i guess
should have covered Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant
isn't budget and average tasting but quite expensive.
