I lost my business a couple months ago. Did $1.7M in 2 years before it went down because of one bad decision within the business. Long story short, i got a regular warehouse job to build capital and pay debts. I always wonder how these people there are comfortable doing this for the rest of their lives. Its so depressing. People really limit their potential. Worst part is the managers who think their position actually means something lol they have this ego that is just funny to look at coming from a former owner. Its crazy
Their comfortable being reliable and supporting their family. Your not privy to their plans so how would you know what they plan to do for the remainder of their careers. You seem to feel entitled because you have had a failed business. I imagine a string of poor decisions and attitude is behind your downfall. Rarely is it one bad decision
Well I left a job making mid six figures to working as a diesel mechanic making 62k a yr Best decision I ever made, 40 hour week, 3 weeks paid vacation, all the holidays for the most part, hourly pay, no stress. 😂 why work hard as fuck to make money when I can be lazy and still survive just fine.
I get what you’re saying. Although you could skip out on stuff like that it wouldn’t serve your business well. What I am saying is that you don’t need to request permission to go to funerals, weddings, graduations and the likes in comparison to jobs. I just missed my second youngest sisters high school graduation because I was stuck over the road. I want better for my family. I want to be there for my wife and kids. That is what I mean.
Yes, glad only a smaller majority of men think this way!! It has everything to do with how you were raised, and if you had a mother and father in your development, or you were raised by a single woman. Life in general has everything to do with that!! Don't believe me, just look at society today, and what the breakdown of the family unit has done. Yea, that's ehat I thought!!
While I approve your message I think you failed to understand the underlying message which is we build a society that normalized a soul crushing grind. Any data should be taken with a grain of salt but the little I know is that business owners are working more then the average employee, they earn more yes but still...
The whole idea is freedom of time, money, etc, Unfortunately, or fortunately that should propel you to create a better life, even if it means to sacrifice a lot in the beginning. The idea isn't to stay in a soul crushing grind, but to learn how to escape it.
The average work week has gone down significantly over the years. In the 1800s many Americans worked 70 hours a week. So we actually work a lot less. If you want a successful business that is growing you will have to work a lot or you can choose to work less, but you stagnate your grow. This is more about achieving a place in life where you are your own master. Doing what you want when you want with the few years on this Earth that’s been given. I work about 80 between my job and business. It’s difficult though it’s my choice and I do it for the meaning of what my business does and the future it will provide. I appreciate the comment. Just doing the “grind” without a purpose or plan can take away from your life. So, I see your perspective. Correct me if I’m not getting you right.
If you don’t work to the best of your ability that will follow you in all that you do. If you don’t want to help grow someone else’s business then start your own. If you won’t start your own then what good are you to society when you don’t contribute your full abilities. God says we work as though to him and not for other people. When I work I work for him. I want where God has placed me to thrive because of me.

The cost of living is sky-high at the moment. Earnings are down as business are struggling to pay their employees, employees are on the min wage! The majority of people are on low earnings. Starting a business is very risky at the moment, the marketplace is very bad! Simply cut the fat as much as possible, lose the Netflex and takeaways etc.
That is why it is the best time to start. If you can build a business that can survive this it will thrive in the good times. Also when things get bad again, and they will, it will get through that. If it doesn’t then you will have gained a lot of skills to put in your next business. Now is always the best time to start. I do agree that you should run lean, though I believe that in the good times too.
you forgot to mention the ultra wealthy are buying up assets like housing drying up the market and soon impossible for anyone to afford. then we won't own anything and pay them rent
Well, EVERYONE has to start somewhere. You have to pay you're dues first to get your foot in the door, then you can go on and upwards from there. These young kids today don't understand this, and think that wealth/money just appears out of nowhere. This is the the problem with this internet/microwave, got to have it right now society. The world does not work this way though. You must build character and gain wisdom and knowledge for something to be worthwhile!!

True, but if a farmer said "I'm gonna go on vacation whenever I want" you'd be left out of produce in the supermarket. I get your point though.

I’d suggest watching the video before commenting. The title is based on a video I saw where a kid said that.
with 2 days of overtime i made $1700 gross after taxes i only got paid. $1200.😩
Very true
You still new to trucking, give it time your story will change.
I’m hoping I’m still new by time I leave the industry. It’s aged me about 10 years in the last 4.
@@CoreyWratch In what ways has it aged you?
Agreed
Love it💪🔥
yous real blasted ye
There's so many other hard working men out there working 9 to 5 that don't complain
Are you suggesting this is a complaint? If so I don’t think you watched the video.
Good for them. No really I'm happy for them. They can handle it. I simply can't.
