Thanks for always grinding out these videos! Great comparison.
How is the range of mte 52 hub on gts compared to original hub?
Does this guy reply to comments? That’s the question i can’t find an answer to
What about the cooling fins that come stock with the 1 wheel parts!
Great comparison Scott! One thing to mention regarding pricing. For the MTE, the price changes based off the magnets you choose, with stronger magnets costing more. Not sure how Billet pricing works if you request different magnets. Just something to consider if you are trying to save money! Cheer from AZ! 🤙
Very informative video. I decided to go with the 6in billet because here in Orlando we don't have that many narly trails so it would be overkill for me.
Do u need vesc to have the mte or can I just install it on my GT with no issues?
Love the MTE!
The billet comes with bearings. When you add bearings to the mte it's the same price as the billet.
It would have been good to compare the effective inside width, not the outside. Different effect on the tire crown and shoulder. In another video I think Jeff McC mentioned they were productizing the 155mm - 6.1”
That is the cleanest apron/
Great video!
I have both, I enjoy joy both, the actual rim lip on the mte is THICK like way more solid. The tech rails billet does have cooling fins so that’s an advantage, but cooling blocks are gonna have better results for you over the motor plate fins. I’d say mte all day for functionality kinda feel sketch of my techrails rim bending worst case and theirs no 5” life savers on the market.
The billet is more because it has 2 removable hub caps to make ease of replacing bearings as well as having cooling fins on both caps, and you have color choices instead of just raw aluminum color, also you don’t need an identifying label to show the magnet strength because all bullet hubs from techrails are n48. The mte being 1/4 wider is due to the thickness of its exterior mounting hub cap. It is the go to because it’s cheaper and majority of Techrails fans have already bought 6” hubs (because Techrails has a 6” option 😏)
Is the mte casted aluminum? I know the billet is machined from a solid piece of metal. That may factor into durability.
Side note the "tech rails billet hub" comes in 2 widths also this seems to be the 6.4" wide there is also a 6" wide. Looking at my Techrails billet wheel the magnet strength is labeled on the outside too. 🤓
Adair turns me off from buying his products with all his shi* talking even though the products look good would rather support TFL
He doesn't bother me that much, but if it helps, he doesn't own the company AFAIK.
I have both MTE and Billet. Prefer TFL vibes but 1wheelparts makes buying Tech Rails products easy and they have other products like the foam grip tape that is awesome. They also were the only ones carrying Stoked Stock sensor for a bit, which saved my ass when my stock FM sensor broke.
Which one has the most pizzazz again?
These parts prices seem crazy when you can get a 20” car wheel cheaper than a onewheel hub
Does that 20" car wheel also come lined with N46 magnets?
@@ignasias come on man magnets don’t cost that much, don’t make excuses for the high prices on FM onewheel and most aftermarket accessories, not saying the products aren’t nice just pointing out the reality of the prices being charged
This guy is insufferable. Hip mega church preacher vibes
I think you would be better if you did more riding than videos.....
