I’ve never liked how Lupin shouts at Harry about his hatred towards Snape because it suggests that the animosity between Harry and Snape is Harry’s fault when in reality Snape started it.
"What does Aragog symbolize?" Probably that Hagrid's heart was even bigger than his physical size, in that he can see the beauty in any creature, and love it for what he sees 💜
Having just read the books for the first time after being a fan of the movies for forever, I have to say that your questions surrounding the horcruxes are so funny to me as I had the same ones. The books expand upon how the cave Harry and Dumbledore visit was the cave Voldemort used to torture two orphans he lived with when he was younger. Dumbledore spent years looking through memories to try and gauge where Voldemort may have hidden horcruxes. I love the movies but the books expand so much more on certain elements and mysteries that I can’t help but recommend people read them if they felt the movies left things out.
I completely agree. The books are so much better. I've read all the books all the way through from beginning to end 4 times and I've seen the movies so many times like everybody else. I've heard so many people on TH-cam and on social media say that they loved the movies so much but have never read the books and say they don't care to they said they shouldn't have to read the books to be able to watch the movies, they just want to watch the movies. And then when people tell them there's so much they're missing out on so many character things and story things, they always say I don't want to read them I just want to watch the movies. Its their loss cause for the people who've read the books and watch the movies It's more of a bonus for us and we get the full scale of everything
Yeah, I love the movies but I can't help but think I probably wouldn't if i hadn't already read the books when I watched them. I'm like Phill in that I like things to make sense (in world), and the books give that, but the movies really don't.
Snape is a half blood because his father is a muggle and his mother is a witch named Eileen Prince. While in school he called himself The Half Blood Prince.
Tom has 7 rocks on his window seal and he made 7 horcruxes. He also has a picture on the window seal and that's the location of one of the horcruxes. 👍🏼
To make a Horcrux is not that easy, it doesn't mean that when you use Avada Kedavra you have a Horcrux. But there are rituals and spells to make a Horcrux And Voldemort is the first wizard known to have created more than 2 Horcruxes
The Ginny- Harry thing is so awkward in the movies. Bonnie Wright was So disappointed that she didn't get to play the badass from the book. I totally get that.
Voldemort is so self aggrandizing that he only chose objects of value - personal or historical - for his Horcruxes. Also, the "little Gollums" are Inferi, which are the reanimated corpses of the people Voldemort has killed. Nobody is allowed to kill Harry but Voldemort, that is the prophecy we learned last movie/book. Snape is a half blood, like Harry. "Mudbloods" are Muggle born (2 Muggle parents).
Book Dumbledore showed Harry more memories about Voldy in order for Harry to get to know his enemy a bit more, maybe get clues to finding more horcruxes.
oooo one of the first! this one is interesting, but the book has way more information. The twins received the money for their store from Harry. He gave them his winnings from the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
1:20:23 "How did he find this place." Dumbledore studies those memories of Tom religiously, and if you re-watch the scene with young Tom in the orphanage there's a picture of the cave on the wall or in the window I believe. Edit:I paused it to type this and after hitting resume I see she told him right after lmao my bad
In the book the Headmistress at the orphenage told Dumbledore of that nasty incident in the cave. I guess he thought that might have been meaningful enough to young Tom Riddle to hide a Horcrux there.
Draco needed backup because it was Dumbledore. Voldemort couldn’t kill him in a 1v1 so neither could Draco. But with backup they might be able to. Plus what if Mcgonagall was around so now Draco has to fight 1v2 or other teachers/students.
At this point, I think Dumbledore was around 113 years old. The scene with Snape and Draco's mom made me laugh when he said, "Take out your wand." I was half expecting him to say, "Turn to page 394." If you had, in Snape's voice, "paid attention!" The scene where Dumbledore first met Tom Riddle as a child. There were 7 stones in the window and a moment later a picture of a small island and cliffs a short distance away. That is where Harry & Dumbledore went to find the necklace in the cave.
The creation of the Horcruxes is also the reason why Voldemort’s face is so snakelike; ripping his soul so many times caused his appearance to become less human.
I don't know why people always get this wrong. Mudblood is muggleborn, as in two muggle parents. Half-blood is one muggle parent and a wizard or witch parent. Which is why they call Hermione mudblood, but Harry half-blood.
Appreciate the clarity here! Honestly, I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to understand why people get these two terms mixed up. They’re pretty similar and they could both technically be a term for “dirty blood”.
@@PhilipManzanoexactly. Honestly, I feel like Rowling kinda made a mistake when she specified "mudblood" as "muggle born" and not just anyone who wasn't a pure blood. It makes more sense being a little more wide spread in its scope as a slur.
@@TheObserverIsTheObserved to me "dirty blood" sounds more like it's mixed blood. Like you got pure bloods, muggles and "mud bloods" sounds like a slur someone would call someone that was half and half. Mud is water mixed with dirt, so it just sounds more like mixed blood to me. But I obviously didn't write the story so my opinion on it is kinda irrelevant lol
Being a nerd, I had to check on Leanne, Katie Bell's friend, and and I believe she's in Gryffindor like her bestie. I don't see any surname, which surprise me. Everyone else has been given one, as far as I know.
So no the 1st kiss with harry and ginny was much different in the book. After harry hurt Draco, snape wanted to see all of his school books, so harry put the book in the room himself and pretended Ron's book was his. He got detention but snape was on to him about the half blood princes book. Harry having detention meant he would miss quidditch, Ginny went on to win the game for their house, when he got back to the common room and the celebration he became so overwhelmed with how beautiful and amazing ginny was so he kissed her in front of everyone, similar to how ron and lavender kissed. After the kiss he had looked to ron who was clearly shocked but basically he decided he liked harry better than her other prospects, so he allowed it.
@erikamanzano338 I think Ginny deserved her story to be told better, hopefully the series gets it right, but there was some scenes in the movies that did it better, like the boys fighting over the better looking potions book was such a real moment that was hilarious, not in the books but brilliant!
Draco' s mission was Voldy's revenge for Lucius' faliure to get the profecy, and for his misstake to use a precious horcrux * for his own agenda. To watch Draco fail and get punished for it. * Obviously Lucius didn't know it was a horcrux.
i never got the impression while watching these films the it was all about harry. at least in school not from our point of view. harry is a mediocre wizard at best
That's not true. There are a lot of "hot girls" with nerdy or even old men. They're mostly after the fame/money. Ginny was crushin on Harry since she first met him because he's famous. I got more vibes from Ron and Hermione than Harry and Ginny. Personally I was hoping for a Luna/Harry Ship.
Harry gave the Twins his 1,000 galleon prize from winning the Tri-wizard tournament. With the stipulation that they buy Ron new dress robs.
Was hoping someone explained it so I didn’t have to lol that’s why the books are the best.
The twins got an unexpected investor, Harry... The Tri Wizard win not only gave him fame but also a cash prize which he invested in the Twins shop.
Harry offered the money to Cedrics Dad, he refused the money, before giving it to the Weasleys for their Joke Shop.

Yes the books have much more details that the movie cuts out for the runtime.

This movie leaves out soo much information its insane. This is honestly probably the most confusing movie because it leaves out so much.

Yes! Good point
Also the first book was published in 1997
This is my favorite Harry Potter movie.
The story take place in the 90s the first film is 1991 this film 1996 each year is similar to the school year
Thank you for reminding me about this detail!

The most un-realistic part of all the Potter Movies is thst a tall dark fit girl would ever agree to date a 5,2 nerdy dude in glasses 😂

If you mean the girl at the café, it is a movie feature.
