Bellatrix and Narcissa are sisters, originally known as Bellatrix Black and Narcissa Black. They also had a third sister named Andromeda Black who was banished from the family because she married a Muggle born Wizard named Ted Tonks. Their daugther is Nymphadora Tonks, the lady who can change her hair color.
Narcissa later married Lucius Malfoy, and they have a son, Draco, while Bellatrix married Rudolphus Lestrange, although the couple has yet to have any kids.
This makes Draco and Nymphadora cousins, and Bellatrix is their aunt. All three sisters also happens to be the cousins of Sirius Black and his younger brother Regulus Black. So yeah, it's a messed up family.

The reason behind Snape's title as "Half-Blood Prince" has to do with his own mother. You know, Snape is a half-blood. His mother was a witch, while his father was a Muggle. His relationship with his father was very unhappy and perhaps the source of his disdain for Muggles. Because of that, he felt a much bigger connection with his maternal side. Since her mother's maiden name was Prince, he adopted the nickname "Half-Blood Prince".

Voldemort and Harry are both half-blood too actually. Voldemort's mother was a witch but his father was a muggle, and Harry's mother was muggleborn so even though she was a witch, he's still half-blood. (Think of it like this: half of his grandparents were magic and half were muggles.) Also, I want you guys to know that the movies butchered Ginny. Gave her almost no personality. Actually it is my favorite book and my least favorite movie
To much love stuff - not enough memories
I think they did the film a HUGE disservice cutting all the memories about Voldemorts back story.
AND to butcher it even more they cut out "In Noctem" as well.
I love the book, because it's literally "Harry Potter and Severus Snape" and I really wished e had seen more about the book - the spells . the effect of the spells/Harry s "skills" in Potions. Also... I'd have loved to see at least ONE DaDA lesson wih Sape, hell even the one where Harry is being put in detention for his cheekiness.
I would have given a LOT to hear Snapes speech about the dark arts...
      (Especially in Alan Rickmanns voice).

22:58 - Yes, this store they enter is 'Borgin & Burkes' the same store Harry went to in the 2nd film.
And just a curiosity, Fenrir Grayback was the werewolf who bit Lupin, at the age of 3, to get revenge on Lupin's father.
25:14 - The movies make it seem like there are only dark wizards in 'Slytherin', but that's not true. Many of them are, yes, but most are not. The 'Slytherin' house includes creative, cunning, ambitious wizards who take care of their own and form loyal and eternal friendships (even if it is with the cruelest wizard of all time 🤷‍♀).
1:11:47 - Harry uses the map to spy on Draco and the Room of Requirement does not appear on the marauder's map.
1:39:31 - Dumbledore's death was very different from that! It became known as 'The Battle of the Astronomy Tower' where the 'Order of the Phoenix', 'Dumbledore's Army' and the teachers fought against the 'Death Eaters'.

To what you were saying about Malfoy not having a choice, oh no you are completely right on the money there. The lives of himself and his family were on the line, so if Draco failed Voldemort, he was going to make him suffer. So all the miserable looks and depressed shit malfoy was going through this year, it was because he was both terrified for himself and his family, and sick to his stomach at what he was told to do.

Dumbledore knew that there must be multiple Horcruxes. That's a bit crazy because no wizard in history has ever done more than split his soul in two. Voldcemort is the only one to do it repeatedly. He is so afraid of death that he was prepared to murder again and again to evade it.
How did Dumbledore know? - well that shows his true genius.
When in Chamber of Secrets Harry destroyed the diary, Dumbledore recognized it immediately as a Horcrux.
But it seemed most ominous to him that Voldemort intended the diary to be used as a weapon, to be planted on some future student to cause the Chamber to be opened.
The point of a Horcrux is to be kept hidden, safe, not to be flung around and risk that someone might destroy it (as it happened indeed).
The careless way in which Voldemort treated his precious part of soul only made sense to Dumbledore if he had (or planned to make) more Horcruxes so the loss of the diary would not be so detrimental.
He just didn't know exactly how many.
On a side note: don't fall into the mistake to think that there are seven Horcruxes. There are only six. Voldemort split his soul in seven, but one of those parts resides in his body.
The diary and the ring are destroyed, there is the locket and there are three more unknown Horcruxes at this point.
You should know that in the books the situation is a bit different. There only one of the Horcruxes is unknown. After watching a few more memories about Voldemort, Harry and Dumbledore are pretty sure about the identity of two more Horcruxes.

Dumbledore would have showed Harry a lot more memories than the ones he showed. For example, the very first one would show Voldemort's maternal side of family, showing his mother, grandfather and uncle. His mother suffered domestic abuse from her father and brother for her very weak magic (which was actually a consequence of their constant abuse). After an incident that caused her father and brother to get arrested, now freed from their abuse, her magic started to flourish and so she enchanted Voldemort's father (for whom she developed an obsessive crush) and forced him to marry her and conceive a child. After getting pregnant, she freed him from the magic she had placed on him, hoping that he had fallen in love with her in the meantime or that he would stay for the sake of their child, but he ended up abandoning her. After that, she spiraled into depression, losing all will to live, and, after giving birth to her son, she died. Because his mother used magic to force his father to love her, Voldemort was born as a loveless being, incapable of loving anyone or even understand love.

I remember myself reading this book before the movie came out, I was at home and my parent went away for a short vacation, at the exact time of Dumbledore´s death they rang home, I answered crying my eyes out and my mother all concerned "is everything ok?" and I: "Nooooo, Dumbledore just died" and she hung up on me, hahahaha

they removed teh whole "who is the halfblood prince" arc and replaced it with a teeny romance xD

The fact that we get so familiar and comfortable, and feel so much love for fictional characters is mind blowing, and when they die, it’s just heartbreaking like we’ve lost a best friend or a family member. The Harry Potter stories are so well written and portrayed that you can’t never have these feelings. It’s madness to me. But anyway, amazing reaction so thank you for sharing ♥️

18:42 You wonder how they can keep anyone in Azkaban with a big hole in the side? Do you not remember those Repairo spells? All they need is enough wizards doing that and the building is fixed in a few seconds.
25:07 You know, Merlin, one of the greatest wizards in history, was canonically a Slytherin.
28:01 He didn't admit to attacking anyone. He just commented on Harry's face. The only thing he admitted to was noticing it.
    28:37 It's jello, not jelly.
28:53 Because if he said "Oh yeah, someone, Drako, kicked me in the face" there would then be follow-up questions. It's easier to save it for later and get all the questions answered when they have more time for them.
31:42 She reads books all of the time and memorizes as much as she can. She is a dedicated bookworm. Honestly, if I was like her and grew up with muggle parents in a world without magic, and then suddenly realized that magic is a real thing and I can do it, I'd become a huge bookworm, too. I'd want to know as much as I could about it. I'm not even sure why she's picked on for it. It's like being in a world of guns and you dedicate yourself to knowing all you can about guns and how to use them. You're basically making yourself into the most badass person in a fight. In this world, knowledge is literally power.
49:49 No, the seeker ends the game and earns his team 150 points. He only wins the game if that 150 points lands his team in the lead at that point. If the seeker caught the snitch and earned 150 points while his team was at 20 points, but the opposing team already had 200 points, then the seeker would have brought his team up to 170 points and the opposing team would still win. The seeker position may be unfairly important, but he does not guarantee a win. You should have been told that in the comments by now.

There's no such thing as canon when you talk about the death-of-an-author concept. So the very point you're trying to make, that the reader decides the interpretation, means you have no more authority than the author to tell another person what is 'canon' for them.
When talking about 'canon' you are talking about what is widely accepted as true, not individual interpretation. So to get the masses to agree, 'canon' will be what is obvious from the text whether the reader likes it or not.

The film opens with Death Eaters flying boldly through the London Streets, ending at Diagon Alley. They destroy Ollivander's Wand shop before throwing a bag over Ollivander's head and kidnapping him, to imprison him in Malfoy Manor's cellar. There, Voldemort tortures him for his knowledge of wandlore. Voldemort is obsessed with killing Harry himself and needs to find a way to do it; he expects Ollivander can tell him how.
The person who kidnaps Ollivander from his shop is Fenrir Greyback, the werewolf who turned Remus Lupin when Lupin was a small child.
    _______________________________________________________________________________________
Back at the first film, when Harry is looking at the trading card part of the chocolate frog wrapper, it says Dumbledore knows the twelve uses of dragon's blood.
Dragon's blood is a real thing. It's a resin of a type of dracaena that grows in the Middle East. It is collected and dried in a block, which can be ground into a powder and used in a variety of ways. Google it; you can order it online.
Dragon's blood is safe to ingest, with a mild but distinctive taste; in ancient times it was used as a preservative for wine, so that it would not turn to vinegar during shipping around the Mediterranean. It so used by itself as an incense or in combination with other incenses. It was considered as a booster/energizer for magical incenses and oils (being a resin, which is just a dried-out oil, it dissolves in oils). It is said to provide protection against evil or ill-intent.
I suspect Slughorn (being a potions master) used dragons' blood to ward off Death Eaters. And I suspect Dumbledore recognized how it looks different from actual blood.
    _______________________________________________________________________________________
Dumbledore has no use for Playboy magazine; he's gay.

    Horcrux Maths:
if you murder one person, you break your soul into two parts; you can then hide one part in an object and keep the other part in your own body.
The point is to have your spiritual soul in a physical case, to keep you in the mortal world.
If you murder another person, your soul will break into another two pieces; two murders total and three soul-pieces total, two pieces placed in two other separate objects and one piece remains in the body. If you murder six people, you end up with seven soul-pieces, enough to keep one piece in your original body (so the current life continues) and six soul-pieces left to make six horcruxes.
Tom Riddle said he planned to make six horcruxes, keeping one soul-piece in his original body in order to continue this lifetime.
    Note:
When Dumbledore met little Tommy Riddle in the orphanage, Tommy had seven stones lined up on his windowsill. He also had a photo of a large rock in a sea off a coastline. When Dumbledore takes Harry along to find the locket horcrux, that large rock in the sea is where they went; it's the rock with the cave in it where Tom Riddle hid the locket horcrux.

Professor Dumbledore's death was one of the most traumatic for Harry to witness. Right alongside his parents' murder at the hands of Voldemort when he was 15 months old, Cedric Diggory at the ratty (pun fully intended) hands of Wormtail during the last task of the Triwizard Tournament in that graveyard, and Sirius dying at the hands of his psychotic cousin Bellatrix Lestrange before he disappeared into the Veil in the Ministry Of Magic. Also, this is one of the few times Ron is shown to be intelligent in the movies. The scene on the Hogwarts Express where he's explaining the Unbreakable Vow to Harry, specifically.
    Side notes:
I've caught crap for this in the past, but I don't care: it's only explained in the deleted scene from the movie adaptation of Philosopher's Stone: A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat that can remedy most poisons. (The oversized raisin-looking thing Harry shoves into Ron's mouth when he gets poisoned)
A fact that wasn't in the movie (it's in the book) is that Harry gave Fred & George the money to open their shop Weasley's Wizard Wheezes (say that 5 times fast) from his Triwizard Tournament winnings on the caveat that they buy Ron new dress robes and say they were from them.
I definitely felt like Hermione when Lavender was cuddled up to Ron. (When she said "Excuse me, I have to go and vomit.")

This is Draco's film, all the way.
Draco has had to go through the public humiliation of a court trial and his father being sent to Azkaban. His father being outed as a Death Eater and determined to be a criminal has made the Malfoys pariahs in the Wizarding World. And Draco blames Harry.
Draco is seething; he wants retribution for what has befallen his family and their reputation. They still have their wealth and their Manorhouse, but they have lost their political power and social position. Somehow Draco does not blame the father he idolizes, but Harry instead.
Voldemort is royally pissed at Lucius. Bad enough that Lucius had not come to look for Voldemort and help him regain a body and power again. But then, after carefully setting up the trap at the Dept of Mysteries, Lucius BREAKS the prophesy before Voldemort could find out what it says and causes Voldemort's return to be revealed... Lucius is lucky to be put in Azkaban; otherwise, Voldemort would have killed him on first approach.
Instead, Voldemort takes over Malfoy Manor as his headquarters. Then, he talks Draco into becoming a Death Eater. THEN, Voldemort tasks Draco with some serious responsibilities that either Draco will fail to accomplish (and then Voldemort kills Lucius's son) or that Draco will succeed in carrying out (so Draco will be hated by the Wizarding World as well as have his soul damaged forever). Win/win as far as Voldy is concerned.
The rest of the film is Draco's character arc going from rage at Harry and Dumbledore to deep regret for allowing himself to be used and the harm he's done to fellow students and teachers. There is grace in Draco having that separation from his bigoted father. Out of his father's racist/elitist influence, Draco is forced to think for himself, allowed the opportunity to process reality. Draco changes; a real shame Harry doesn't see that soon enough.
What really strikes me is how alone Draco is. He can't talk to his friends, he can't talk to his father, he dare not talk to the school staff... He has to process this situation he jumped into without thinking, and he has no one to use as a sounding board. The fact that he ends up in regret, recognizing that h's involved in something vile and unforgivable...he comes to that conclusion with no one's influence. He gets there by his own internal resources. He begins to become his own man.
    This is Draco's film.
