For the oak rite quest (cat claw), you didn't really have to drag that chaurus all the way to the ritual site. The harvest menu actually has a "pick up" option that puts the carcass in your inventory in a neat little sack. Chaurus doesn't have this option, but you can totally bring your own kill from elsewhere.
Strange Brew -- Nightshade Sleeping Tree Sap Mora Tapinella The first and third items are easy. Sleeping tree sap you get from the sleeping tree camp, a giant camp on the plains west of Whiterun. And thanks for this guide, exactly what I was looking for!
I didn't know these smaller quests were a thing, so I appreciate this! Also I came *this* close to adding Hunterborn in my current game but decided against it. Will definitely have to add it to my next playthrough!
Yep, and seems like it would be an easy-ish project for someone who knows how. I think the original mod author wanted this to be cryptic, but I think it's just a bit too hard with the strange brew and stuff
It would work well with a werewolf character for sure, but it doesn't need to be. The dude I'm using this for is a Stormcloak Shaman Assassin. These quests work for anyone, as long as you have the mod :)
this one gave up using Hunterborn because Tom could never work out the quests! So infuriating! Hw on earth did you learn how to do this. Thank you, now tom needs to consider adding Hunterborn back in, yes? 🤔
Hunterborn does add some interesting things to the game. Mostly, it strengthens alchemy through more and stronger ingredients, but there are some nice RP-enabling mechanics it provides, including these hidden quests. As far as how I figured this out? I can only credit insomnia-driven deep-dives into the vast depths of the internet where I eventually found some kind of plain-text design doc for the mod, lol.
This version requires SkyUI and SKSE, which isn't available on XBox. HOWEVER, when Skyrim SE first came out there was a version of the mod that didn't need that stuff. That one should be compatible. Unfortunately, I don't own an XBox to even verify. Worth a search, though, if you do!

Good tip, thanks :)
This takes me back to the tale of Arellas, your Bosmer druid and his friend Björn the bear
Ah, I had some great times with that little guy!

Nice, glad it was useful!
And I did not know about that Strange Brew recipe. Good info!
One of my favourite mods, thanks for covering it!
@@spellandshield sure thing, more than meets the eye with this one!
Wow, it's so cool! Thanks for the guide! I've been using this mod for years and never had an idea what those strange brews and claws were 🙂
That's great, glad you found it useful :)

Yeah, it adds some much needed depth to hunting, IMO. Glad it helped, and hope you can use it in the future!
I have been wondering what the claws and strange brews were for. Thanks for the guide!!
You bet!
Didn't even know there was a hidden quest. I guess that's the point though. Great vid
Thanks man!
I needed this! Thanks Carn.
You got it, dude!
Always great to see some Skyrim content!
Yessir! I watch a lil every day :-)
A patch for Hunterborn would be great to add some quest entries and map amrkers.

Is this for a werewolf corrector
